Jun 18, 2010I am in need of help to complete my application. I am trying to execute a project that uses and android library. Basically I am trying to execute the android facebook sdk to run the sample code provided at http://github.com/facebook/facebook-android-sdk 1. I have downloaded the sdk and extracted the zip file to a folder 2. I used Eclipse galileo import to create an android project from existing resource. I imported the sdk source code (facebook folder of the sdk) into my project explorer successfully. I can also run Build Project for this source code. 3. Now, I am trying to import the sample example in it. The project is imported but I cannot execute it. I cannot build the project. Code...

Feb 18, 2009I update my SDK from 1.0 to 1.1r1 running on Windows XP environment. I develop applications using Eclipse Ganymede.
Since this update my build process crashes on aapt calling.
I tried to reinstall ADT plugin but this doesn't change anything.
Do you have an idea to resolve this issue?

Feb 12, 2010Is it possible to tell Eclipse to use some extra arguments for aapt (-0 in specific)?I have been looking for past couple of hours and the best hack I came up with was to create a wrapper for the aapt tool to inject the argument to the command line. The trouble with this approach is that whenever I should lose that wrapper, then I'll be quietly introducing a bug into my application.

I run this command: sbt update package-debug
And everything hums along until I get this error: java.io.IOException: Cannot run program "/home/egervari/Programs/android-sdk-linux_x86/platforms/android-7/tools/aapt": java.io.IOException: error=2, No such file or directory
So I try running it manually, just for the heck of it: egervari@ken:~/Programs/android-sdk-linux_x86/platforms/android-7/tools$ ./aapt bash: ./aapt: No such file or directory

Oct 14, 2010I'm unable to find the AIDL tool in my OSX install. My tools directory does not have AIDL, but it has everything else (Adb, android, ddms, etc). I've tried opening the SDK and AVD manager and reinstalling the Android SDK Tools Rev 7, no luck. Any idea on how I can get a hold of the tool? Is there a separate download I can use?

Used : 66.7%
Which one is the total memory being used? Heap size, or Allocated?
Android : Fail To Launch SDK 2.0 Tool On OS X
Nov 2, 2009I downloaded the SDK 2.0 toolkit and tried to launch the android tool to download the latest SDK. The application seems to launch with the following output:
$ ./android-sdk-mac/tools/android Starting Android SDK and AVD Manager No command line parameters provided, launching UI. See 'android --help' for operations from the command line. $
That's it. Nothing happens, no UI appears or any processes are started (check with ps, but there is no new java process). I'm running this on Mac OS X 10.5.8. The previous SDK s runs fine.

Sep 18, 2010Is there a tool or a way within Android to select and unlink multiple contacts? I've been syncing my Captivate using Kies for while, but after a Kies software upgrade I had to reload the drivers (using Kies) as the Captivate was not connecting. After the driver reload I was able to sync my contacts, but I ended up with duplicates of all my contacts under the "Unassigned" group. I can not delete these duplicates under this group because they're linked to the duplicate contacts that I had already assigned to specific groups. If I delete any contact in the "Unassigned" group it also deletes the contact I want to keep under its respective group. I have over 1,500 contacts so unlinking one by one is very time consuming and not practical.
