Im having a Samsung galaxy y right now and planning to buy a new smartphone
Im on low budget so Im looking for high specs and low budget phones from Indian brands
I do a lot of tweaking and use a lot of mods /custom Roms for my sgy
As Im thinking of getting Indian smartphone (xolo a700), i fear someday ill mess up with my phone and get it bricked
I can't find much of stock/custom Roms for any of such phone
So my question is how can i create a backup,including system files and stock Rom so that i can mess up with my phone and revert back to stock Rom when i need to Im talking something like what we've for sgy ,the odin flashable stock roms, which work 99% of the time even when cwm recovery doesn't work of

i seriously need Stock Rom of Xolo A700 or Backup of the original ROM. All other Stock Rom posted on other blogs and forums are just fake and crap. if u don't have the stock dump. backup your ROM and share.

I am using XOLO A1000. Recently I experienced a problem in my phone.The rear camera option got disappeared from camera function. I can use only front camera. I contacted XOLO care and they suggested me to apply FACTORY DATA RESET option.
Now I am ready to reset the phone but before that I need to take full backup of my phone. There is no software / tool is being provided by the company. find a software / tool which can take full backup (contacts, msg, apps, photos, settings, etc...) and restore as well without rooting the phone?

I have just bought Xolo Q3000, all I cannot quite figure out is how to delete the extra/empty home screens to the left and right.
I have tried setting, tapping, and holding the screen but none of those give me an option to remove the excess pages.
I have googled this issue but no luck and i am not in favour of installing another launcher.

I've got A700 and I'm trying to root it but I've got a problem. I tried it with every key combination (power, volume up & down) I found on the internet but they don't work.
I also tried it when using the USB port but my PC and my laptop won't recognise the tablet. I've downloaded the drivers from Acer but when I install them my PC asks to install NET frameworks 2.0.5727. This version is no longer available but Frameworks 3 also worked according to Microsoft. After this installation the drivers from Acer still don't want to install. Then I tried it with Android USB driver but the same problem keeps coming back.
When I plug the tablet on my PC and look in the windows device manager there is a yellow triangle on the USB port with an error code 43. I've got the same problem and errors on my laptop. They both work on Windows 8.1. Could it be that the problem is on my tablet's USB? There is no problem when charging.

recently bought xolo a800 phone ... was experimenting with it and bricked it the next day.....the phone is stuck on the xolo logo at start and its not booting into os.. the phone is soft bricked according to me

I am searching an application that allows me to backup the .apk files of both user and system applications like AppWererabbit (http:url...). The problem is that i need this app to be compatible with android versions below 4.0, i.e. android 2.3.X.
I have already installed titanium backup on my phone, but i miss the ability to set an automatic .apk backup when each system/user app is updated. I think that to keep .apk files of older versions of the same app could be usefull.

i rooted my T15A tablet with "Root_with_Restore_by_Bin4ry_v17" tool and then installed/flased "SuperCharger_Starter_Kit_RC12". After the flash my internal storage shows up with 0 byte and i am not able to install any app. A factory reset did not work too.
I've got another original T15A tablet and want to create a full backup of this and flash it to the bricked one.I found some guides on how to create a backup by connecting to an adb shell. This guides are all device specific and i now dont know.what to backup under /dev/blocks/ ....
- how to do a full backup / restore?
- Maybe we just can fix the 0 byte error (but i didnt find generic solution about that)

Is there a way to change the Display output resolution in Android?
I'm not talking about the screen density (DPI). I'm talking about the pixels.
The thing is I own an Acer Iconia A700 FullHD tablet but there is lag, especially on 3D games that forces the native screen resolution of 1920x1200.
So forcing the resolution from 1920x1200 down to 1280x800 would theoretically reduce those lags.
So it works with some games that comes with an option to change the resolution, but most games doesn't have an option, they simply run in 1920x1200 and lag really badly.
Is there a way to change the overall resolution down to 1280x800 ?
I know it MIGHT be possible but there could be a problem because the image has to get upscaled to the native display resolution.
And I don't know if the Tegra 3 comes with an hardware scaler. So if the resolution gets changed, it might get upscaled and filtered (or not) OR just centered in a smaller image in the middle of the screen.
But either way.. Is it possible? if yes, how?

I'm looking for an backup application which will allow me to backup my apps and system data on roms based on stock ICS and restore to JB and vice versa.
Titanium backup does the job but after restoring on a new rom I get a lot of fc's and none of the apps works. I cannot restore call log and text messages, accounts, etc.
There's a lot of backup apps, I know. But I would like to be sure that they work as they should. Any app which will do the job?

recover my Xolo Q2000, i had given my cell to a friend of mine to install apps. but now it doesn't even start! when i turn it on it just shows the logo "XOLO" and then nothing happens, doesn't even boot into recovery as i tried with pressing power and both volume keys together. when i connect it to pc it just shows the battery icon, before it used to show the percentage too...
as far a i remember it had android 4.2.1 and that friend had told me he tried to install new rom or kitkat or recovery..well, i guess he just messed up and experiemented my Q2000. i just bought it a month ago.

I recently bought my new phone Xolo Q800, and it's also my first Android device.
One thing - no driver to connect my phone in USB debugging mode when I have to run my Android apps on my phone from Eclipse
I even sent an email to Xolo support, but haven't gotten any reply yet. I remember many Q800 users here talking about the phone here when it was launched.

After a hard reset on my first Hero, the factory/system wallpaper files disappeared. Thereafter, I was unable to set the background for the lock screen to anything but the default. When I go to set lock screen background, the device reports "no media found".
Now that I have another Hero, I would like to backup those 22 factory background/wallpaper files.
1) Is that possible? If so, how? Does it require me to root the device so I can actually "copy out" the files?
2) Does there exist a backup software that can do a full system file backup? If so, please recommend one.
3) I have seen several file manager-like applications. Do any of these applications browse system files and allow one to copy them? (Is rooting reqired)?
4) Does anyone have copies of the system/default wallpapers? If so, will you please zip them up and post it here?
5) WHY did the pictures disappear after a hard reset? If they are part of the ROM, why did they not return after a reset?

i bought xolo q700 few days back. i have this strange issue with its display.everything is working fine and i love this phone. but when i call any number the screen goes off. i cannot see options to put it on loudspeaker and most importantly i cannot use the dialer. also i cannot be sure if i have dialed the right number. the screen just goes off. physical buttons only of volume rocker and power button and it cannot bring the display up.
is this manufacturing defect or is this something to do with display settings (i checked but couldnt find any setting regarding it). is it same with any other jb 4.2 phones?.

Recently I flashed my A500s mobile using the method mentioned in one of the threads here. I used mobile-uncle tools to root it. I've installed almost every ROM available here on XDA for A500s but I couldn't use my Wifi. It keeps on searching for Wifi network and/or hangs. (In some of the ROMS Camera was not installed)I'm struggling for past 3-4 days but no success. I downloaded the stock ROM too but it's not installing. It gets aborted.The CWM screen shows the headline as....
