Jun 29, 2010Anyone else having a problem getting video chat to work from Fring/Skype? I applied this OTA update this afternoon, and now all i can get in Fring is audio. My FF cam shows myself, and Skype on the PC shows it's own webcam, but neither me nor the receiving PC can see each other's cams. I've done a reboot on both PC and EVO and still no video-to-video. I'm not saying it is the OTA that caused this, just wondering if someone else can test their Fring/Skype after the OTA has been installed to verify?

Dec 1, 2010Maybe someone can help me. I am living in Europe and travelling quite often. So far when I was going abroed I have talked to my girlfriend using my notebook (wifi connection and using skype video call). Using the video call I was able to see her, talk to her and the other way around. Now as I bought my first smartphone (Samsung Galaxy S) I would like to do the same thing without taking my notebook to my travels.
Is there any software which will allow me to have a video call from the phone to PC? I am asking about software which work on Android 2.1 and support front face camera on the phone, so I am able to see her (and she can see mee) while talking to her!
I do not have Froyo as in my country there isn't original update yet. And I would rather wait for the official update.

Dec 3, 2012I am using the Alcatel OT-918d (stock rom, root access enabled) and while playing videos in the browser, I do not get an action prompt to choose from the available video players and browser plays the video using "default video player".
The so called "default video player" has been uninstalled though. Have cleared cache, clear defaults, clear data for the browser but still do not get a prompt to choose a video player while playing videos from the browser.
Also installed the "Default App Manager" to check for the default video player. However, it indicates no defaults to play any videos (either from file or streaming videos).
(If I play a stored video from phone or SD card, I do get the prompt to choose a video player. But do not get a prompt if playing any video in the browser.)
