Phone Vibration switches off each time you switch off the mobile. It gets annoying that you need to switch on the vibrator each time you switch on mobile. It seems that the setting for vibration is not stored, or gets erased each time.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI want to be able to set up my phone, Verizon Galaxy S4, to have different profiles, I guess you would say. For instance I want to be able to set up a home screen, wallpaper, launcher etc. to look real classy/minimal at times, then at other times I want everything on the home screen, different wallpapers, icons, etc. and maybe a different launcher to boot. A completely different look. I would like to be able to just switch between the setups quickly and at will. The more profiles supported the better..

View 1 Replies View RelatedI was in a meeting and set the phone to vibration mode via the notification panel. I noticed that the phone will only vibrate if a call comes in, but not SMS. Is this correct? Cause in my previous phone, so long as I am in vibration mode, every event (call, SMS, reminder, email etc) will cause the phone to vibrate.

I'm using Goggle Navigation and sometimes the GPS fails to switch on. I can get round it with 'turn it off - turn it on' and works first time, however, is there a way of just turning off the GPS and turning it back on, or forcing it on?
When I first bought my Samsung Galaxy S, I shut down everything 3G related as my internet bundle didn't kick in until this week. Now I can't seem to switch 3G access back on. I've downloaded APNdroid, but I've clearly left something crucial switched off as 3G still not working. The instruction manual isn't very useful.
View 3 Replies View RelatedVery happy with the i9000 in the last few days of ownership, using launcher pro in place of stock but otherwise mostly unchanged. One issue we have is that after being at home overnight on WiFi, the phone doesn't automatically re enable 3g. To restore the mobile data you have to go into the network operator selection and re select Optus (our carrier here in Aus). Leaving it on auto doesn't help, and you have to manually choose it each time (ie: it "forgets" what I selected or something). Using apndroid to mangle the apn on/off doesn't help. Restarting the phone fixes it but obviously not ideal.
Have tried entering the code to change it to gsm only instead of the default wcdma/gsm auto with no benefit. When the mobile data is working, it happily switches between 2g and 3g, but will sometimes simply stop working as per the wifi overnight problem and I have to manually select the operator again. This happens very randomly and can go several days without drama, our only a few minutes. While this data won't connect, the phone capabilities aren't affected and you can make and receive calls fine. In fact if you dial a number it sometimes causes the data to re connect.
What the custom vibration pattern for a heartbeat was so I can use it in my AOSP messaging app. I've searched on google to no-avail.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI made an account just for this as I can't figure out how to get around having only "Vibrate always, never or only in silent or not in silent" when I go to sleep, there is no easy way to turn the vibration off. It used to be with phones you could use the volume rocker to bringer down to vibrate... then one level down to completely silent except for alarms.
On this phone, if I want the phone on full silent without vibration, I cant easily switch to vibration with no sounds. It's either vibrate in silent, or vibrate with a ringer, no alternative.

View 2 Replies View Relatedtoday I found out that one can set a custom vibration pattern in the SMS Settings.Clicking that option brings up a line with "0,1200" written on it. I tried to edit it to "0,1200,1,700" and also to "0,500,0,300,0700" but it did not change the pattern at all - in both cases it just staid a long single vibration.

I'm always getting short texts from people instead of one long one. So my phone dings/vibrates for each one. I want to know about the first one, but not every one after that, at least until I put my phone down again.
If it was possible to do this on a per-contact basis, that would be even better.
I'm fine with rooting my phone or whatever else I need to do to fix this.
