View 1 Repliestoday I found out that one can set a custom vibration pattern in the SMS Settings.Clicking that option brings up a line with "0,1200" written on it. I tried to edit it to "0,1200,1,700" and also to "0,500,0,300,0700" but it did not change the pattern at all - in both cases it just staid a long single vibration.

We use pureMVC framework: from activity methods we send notifications, mediators handle notifications, proxies and layouts. It wasn't proved to be 100% satisfactory for me, and I'm willing to use something else.
I was watching a video and it was comparing the size of the HD2 and EVO and when the phones were side by side with the home screens showing...clouds were flowing through the HD2 and I absolutely loved it! Obviously, it's a reflection of the weather in that city but I haven't seen that on an Android unless you go into the weather widget. So, can I get my EVO to show weather patterns on my home screen like that as well or is it just a Windows Mobile thing?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI was playing around with my phone today, just trying to create a cool symmetrical pattern on my droid. Mind you this was just on the screen where after about 5 tries it locks you out for 30secs. So i keep playing around with it and than the email and password screen shows up, saying i have to log in. Alrite sure, so I just put in my credentials and it fails.
Things I have tried:
1. @gmail.com, @googleemail.com
2. password null
3. case sensitive
4. playing around with people calling me and emergency dialer, etc.
5. changed password
6. battery pulls..............
I'm wondering if there's an app out there that can track traffic patterns/route times. I know that those Runners apps. can track speed/time to destination, but I'm interested in being able to track which highways/roads have the most/least amounts of traffic on which days and at which times, or which roads cause you to wait the longest at certain lights, so that I can know in advance (the app. would alert me which route to take on which day according to data collected over time). I've always been kind of fascinated by traffic patterns, but I'm also a fairly focused driver, so I don't generally look at times it has taken me on different days. You can feel like taking a back way one day, but does it really save you any time with all the lights you hit instead?

how do you turn off keyboard vibration on HTC vivid using ICS? Next can you make the font larger? The largest setting in smaller than it was when I was using GB.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI made an account just for this as I can't figure out how to get around having only "Vibrate always, never or only in silent or not in silent" when I go to sleep, there is no easy way to turn the vibration off. It used to be with phones you could use the volume rocker to bringer down to vibrate... then one level down to completely silent except for alarms.
On this phone, if I want the phone on full silent without vibration, I cant easily switch to vibration with no sounds. It's either vibrate in silent, or vibrate with a ringer, no alternative.
I installed cm7 on my htc inspire. everytime i make a call and just after the other party picks up, i get a vibration. i disabled all haptic vibration in settings. but this didnt stop it. how do i disable this?

I rooted my Sidekick 4G yesterday and everything worked great, until I noticed that my phone wasn't vibrating for notification. I tried messing around with the settings but no luck. I get haptic feedback but no notification vibrations.

Or maybe it's a problem with this version of the operating system?

Currently, I get a BUZZ-BUZZ (2 pulse) for everything. new voicemails, new texts, calendar alerts, etc. I'd like to adjust that to 2 pulses for texts, 1 for voicemails, etc.

I'm always getting short texts from people instead of one long one. So my phone dings/vibrates for each one. I want to know about the first one, but not every one after that, at least until I put my phone down again.
If it was possible to do this on a per-contact basis, that would be even better.
I'm fine with rooting my phone or whatever else I need to do to fix this.

Whenever I'm making an outgoing call there is a call connected vibration when the call is picked up by the other side, the feature is nice, but the problem is that the person I'm calling is able to hear this vibration in their phone. Is there a way to disable this vibration, or delay the microphone initiation?
I already tried changing all the sound and vibration settings in the phone without any success.
I just went through the process of compiling a custom ROM and they used a stock kernel. I would like to incorporate a different kernel when I compile and instead of the stock. I know I could compile them separately and have them flash together but I want one zip to flash. Just would like to go through the process to learn.
what I have to do when compiling?'
This in regards to its vibration function. due to the rather soft tone of its sound (to me at least) sometimes when my phone is ringing from a message, i tend to NOT notice that a message comes in. so i use vibration , but the thing with hand cent vibration is the vibration is a one time thing only. a message comes in, it vibrates once, and thats it.. but the ring tone goes on and on.. fiddling with the vibration settings in hand cent did not help. what i want to do is make my desire vibrate a lot more times than just
once.. is this possible?
Somehow my vibrations have all gone away. I made sure the vibration effect is set to normal, which it is. It must have been an app I installed that disabled it. Currently using Open Home with Hero skin, weather widgets, and Swype keyboard. Anyone have this issue or is something I can easily fix in the settings?
