General :: How To Tailor Number Of Pulses / Vibration When On Silent

I keep my phone on silent at all times, so rely on vibration only for calls, notifications, etc. Is there a way to tailor the number of pulses for different kinds of notifications? Currently, I get a BUZZ-BUZZ (2 pulse) for everything. new voicemails, new texts, calendar alerts, etc. I'd like to adjust that to 2 pulses for texts, 1 for voicemails, etc.
Do you know of any apps that allow adjustments to vibe notifications (ie, count, frequency)? I'm on a stock D4 running 2.3.6, but happy to root if necessary.

I made an account just for this as I can't figure out how to get around having only "Vibrate always, never or only in silent or not in silent" when I go to sleep, there is no easy way to turn the vibration off. It used to be with phones you could use the volume rocker to bringer down to vibrate... then one level down to completely silent except for alarms.
On this phone, if I want the phone on full silent without vibration, I cant easily switch to vibration with no sounds. It's either vibrate in silent, or vibrate with a ringer, no alternative.

Is there a application or a way to have the phone vibrate but have messages come in silently? Sometimes I need to have alerts silent, and be able to tell that there is a phone call, other times I need to have both message alerts and phone calls be audible. I'm looking for a way to quickly do this.

One little thing I miss on my Blackberry was that I had it set to vibrate once for Social Network notifications, twice for an email and three times for an SMS. That way I knew how important it might be and whether to take it out of my pocket. My T-Mobile G2/HTC Hero (1.5) doesn't seem to have the option to change the default "vibrate twice". Is there any way of changing it? Or an app that might do it?

Basically, i use my personal cell phone for work and personal use, i have multiple exchange accts that keep things sorted and seperated.
recently though i have been getting more and more business calls to my cell phone, during and outside of normal business hours.
what im looking for is an app that will take a selective group of contacts/phone numbers/CID strings and if it is a "business" call then forward it to a specific phone number (external number, the actual business line).
I have seen apps on the market and around that will forward calls to voicemail if they match certain filters, but i cant really seem to find an app that will forward to an external number. Any way I could accomplish this?

My son decided to lock his tablet with a random number he plucked from the universe! one that he can't remember! I have a Google Nexus running Android 4.1
I can set default ringtone and default notification both to silent so only people with custom ringtone can make my phone ring
I just got a Note 3 running Android 4.3
When I go to set the default ringtone there is no 'silent' option. Under default notification I can set that to 'none' which is the same as silent but there is no 'none' option for ringtone.
Can I set default ringtone to 'silent' or 'none' with Android 4.3 ?

I have a rooted Nexus 5 with KK 4.4.2 that rings even if set to vibrate. The phone vibrates once and then the rigner actually is set back to full volume. Pretty annoying during meetings.

is there an app that can override the silent mode if there's a notification for a certain app?There's a lot of app that override silent mode if someone calls / sms you. But i want to do it for an app because i've been tracking a website and i need it to notify me even when i sleep that it has changed.

I am completely lost in trying to implement a silent install-from-apk-file and unistall-package-name by using the adb shell command 'pm'.
I'm doing the project in Eclipse, emulator 2.2, rooted (tested during runtime using RootTools.isRootAvailable()).

When I put my S3 in silent mode, the ringer is muted but the notification alerts are not. I have to manually mute the notifications alerts (and then manually turn them back on). This happened after I downloaded a ringer mode widget that I almost immediately uninstalled. how to reset the ringer mode so that Silent includes notification alerts?

I have a Razr M on CM10.1 - 4.2.2, and Facebook Mesesnger vibrates even during silent mode when I get a message.I would think Silent Mode overwrites any app priorities, but I guess not.
I have a tasker profile to set my phone to silent mode between 10pm and 9am only if the phone is plugged in, so my phone is on silent all night, but if I get a random facebook message, I wake up to the vibration.

I rooted my Sidekick 4G yesterday and everything worked great, until I noticed that my phone wasn't vibrating for notification. I tried messing around with the settings but no luck. I get haptic feedback but no notification vibrations.
Additional information:
Rooted with SuperOneClick (latest version, I'm pretty sure).

today I found out that one can set a custom vibration pattern in the SMS Settings.Clicking that option brings up a line with "0,1200" written on it. I tried to edit it to "0,1200,1,700" and also to "0,500,0,300,0700" but it did not change the pattern at all - in both cases it just staid a long single vibration.

I Bought the PIPO M9 PRO tablet with android 4.2.2 operating system.When I started to work with the device I noticed that I can't configure the vibration feature.Usually you turn on the feature in: setting �sound-vibrate on touch, But in this device the line is missing.Could it be that this device doesn't have this feature at all? Or maybe it's a problem with this version of the operating system?
