I own a Motorola milestone and was trying to connect it to my car stereo via bluetooth. I am easily able to connect it for voice calls but i am unable to do so for music.can someone please tell me if milestone can be connected to car stereo for music and if so how?

I was cleaning all the crap off my phone I don't use anymore and I believe I accidently removed the bluetooth software that allows it to connect to stereo bluetooth headsets. I can control the player with the headset, I can make phone calls from it, but when I try to play music there is no sound.
I was trying to reset the phone using RUU, but it reboots the phone and then says it cannot reconnect after that and the software shuts down. I can still sync with outlook, so my driver is not the issue. I am out of ideas.
Is there anyway possible to reinstall just the bluetooth portion of the rom?
Am I correct in assuming this is not an option so far for the MOTO Droid?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just got a milestone yesterday, and I was fascinated by it. The only thing that kills me, is that it doesn't take permission to connect to the internet. I used to have a Nokia, which always had to take my permission first to connect to 3G internet network.
But with the milestone, it doesn't, and I get charged for every single 1kb used I just lost what is equivalent to $10 USD in the last 5 mins for just trying to open Google and download the SlideME app. is there some kind of hidden tasks that uses the internet or something ?
One more thing, today morning, I opened facebook after recharging my credit balance with 20 USD. And guess what ? They're all gone too for just opening the home page! if I have an active internet connection, how can I close it ?
I wonder if this means they are getting ready to release the update. I'll postagain if an update becomes available.
View 9 Replies View RelatedIn my quest to have a 3G connection on my new Milestone I first tried to connect to the AdHoc network running on my iPad but I found out that Android phones couldn't connect to AdHoc networks (see Enabling WiFi Adhoc on Milestone ?)...I'm now finding out that they can't connect to Bluetooth modems either...is that correct ? I saw messages saying that PDAnet enabled BT DUN but that's probably only to let other devices connect. I put my iPad AT&T microSIM card in the Milestone using an adapter but Amazon sell the Euro version so it means no 3G in the USA, either with T-Mobile or AT&T.

If so, how is it working? Is there software anywhere in your phone labeled 'Nuance'? Please let me know. If you could post a pic or vid of how this is working on the Milestone, that would be much appreciated.

I have an old Logitech FreePulse Wireless that I use and have tested it with my old samsung p2 mp3 player, no problems there. I also dont have a problem using a bluetooth earpiece for calls. However, I can't get any sound through the headset. It connects fine, shows "media playing through bluetooth" or whatever it says when I change the volume, yet nothing but silence comes out. Also I am on leaked 2.2, dont know if it worked on 2.1 because I never tried.

My Eris, and now the replacement Eris sent by Verizon, will not connect to our Panasonic KX-TH1212 home phone system. It worked fine before the upgrade to 2.1 and my wife's Droid still works fine with it.The Eris will pair with the KX-TH1212, but will not connect; I've tried it multiple times with both Eris phones.The KX-TH1212 requires a passcode (0000) to pair. After failing to connect, the Eris only provides one option (unpair) in the long press menu.The Droid has three options (connect, unpair, and don't remember this one).I would appreciate any help or similar experiences to fix this issue.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI don't seem to be able to get my Desire to connect to my head unit even though both units are paired.It seems to connect momentarily during the scan for the dvice then i get the "bluetooth headset disconnected" message on the phone?Head unit is a Kenwood BT50U (which supposts A2DP & AVRCP supposedly) and the device & headunit have both had the 0000 default code entered into them when pairing. All the phone shows is the device in the list with "paired but not connected" under it.Wifi is off,phone is discoverable. Is it the bluetooth on the phone at fault or the headunit?Any help or ideas would be appreciated!

So when I get an incoming call, my droid-X rings instead of my car stereo. I have the car stereo set to ring, but it does not. So I constantly miss calls in my car to the point where I may as well not even have a bluetooth stereo. In California, we can't talk on the phone and drive so it's killing me that this does not work after investing money into the system.
Never had a problem on my blackberry. Basically if I have the stereo on, I'm not going to hear my phone ringing, I guess I could set it to auto answer (not sure if that works yet either) but I like to see the number from who is calling first on my CD Player's face.
Anyone experience weak bluetooth connectivity with the Eris?My stereo bluetooth headset gets choppy even if it's a few feet from my phone.I don't know if it's the phone's bluetooth signal or the headset.If the phone is in my pocket and I'm walking the shake from my step causes the signal to cut out.I wanna ask others who use stereo bluetooth if they see this.

I'm using a cable Internet connection on my pc. My router is connected to the pc using cables. However, since my router isn't wireless, my milestone cannot connect to the internet via wifi. Is it then possible to connect the milestone to the computer via usb and use the internet the computer is on, just like how the tethering works, but only the opposite?

View 6 Replies View RelatedThis is a silly issue, but its now driving me to distraction, My Jawbone pairs & connects without an issue, however I have a Nokia6822, & Blue & Me in my car, the Milestone will pair but not connect to either of these devices ( phone is on V2.1) even after entering verify code on each device ( The car generates a unique code for each device to be paired with it). Also the make device discoverable is only open for 120 seconds, is there a reason for this ?

I was using the hero before and you could easily do it via vcard.For example, I want to send Mr Jones a contact number of a client, I can easily SMS him through contacts the client's contact numbers(emails and whatnots).However, this feature seems lacking on the Milestone. You can attach just about everything else except a person's contacts!Did I overlook something here? Or it just doesn't come with it?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a Motorola Milestone (aka Droid). I've managed to set up my Milestone to sync my work contacts and calandar via exchange. However, I cannot get my email for some reason - and there's no error message to point me in the right direction. I've tried sending emails too, and that doesn't work. They just sit in my outbox, no matter how many times I refresh. Obviously, I've tried all the obvious things - double checked my settings (which must be ok, given my Calander and Contacts synced, plus I can get to the global address book). I've tried to refresh the mailbox, but nothing happens. When I go to 'Accounts' there is an orange line next to my work account, which perhaps means something is wrong. I wondered if it's perhaps my work's firewall blocking me but again, if I can get into my calander and contacts.

If I keep the screen on the connection seems fine. I don't see a setting that causes bluetooth to go off when on sleep like WIFI does.
