Somehow I apparently changed the setting so that the woman's voice announces my incoming calls and texts from my contacts. I'd like to turn that back off and just have the whistle/ringtone.
I can't find it in the manual or online.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI have a Tmobile rooted Samsung Galaxy S III, I was running a nightly Cyanogenmod 10 ROM. Yesterday there was an update for that rom and I downloaded it and installed it, everything was fine and running smoothly until some people started telling me that they were not able to reach me by phone. I tried checking what was wrong and I finally realized that whenever I have my mobile data on or while I am using it I don't receive voice calls. I tried looking everywhere for a way to fix this and I came across the ##DATA# code in which I could turn off the DDTM option but unfortunately my phone doesn't recognize that code.
this is the message I get every time I try to enter ##3282# code.
I thought that maybe something was wrong with the ROM itself so i decided to browse around here for one for my Tmobile samsung galaxy S 3 and I decided to install this one [ROM][4.2.2][RC1] LiquidSmooth ROMs - d2tmo - 2|14|13
after wiping data/cache and dalvik cache I installed this ROM and this is my current phone info and still when I am using my mobile data I cant receive calls nor put the ##DATA# code to turn off DDTM.
is there any other way I could access that DDTM option?
Another thing I realized is that even tho I did the factory reset, wipe dalvik cache and data cache on recovery mode my phone still says it only has 4gb free on its internal memory, isn't it supposed to be completely free after wiping all that stuff?
Just got my X today and I'm having a problem. When someone calls me, before the ringtone, a female voice announces "Verizon Wireless!," and then it proceeds to the ring.
It's obnoxious as hell. Anyone know how to turn that "feature" off?
I have an Samsung Galaxy LTE 8.9 SHV-E140L (Android 4.0.4) tab, i want to make voice calls using my GSM SIM, currently i am able to send/receives messages via SIM (GSM), but unable to find how to make voice calls, i see Phone app is installed but not active, i installed (exdialer, rocketdial and 3cx) but none of them are working. During googling i get clues that it has phone capabilities but need to root and install some files in it/ how can we enable voice calling from this tab ? .. i found below links related but not sure its support to E140L or not and if yes then how to root and enable voice calling.

OK so i just got this phone a few days ago and now I cant send texts or make phone calls but I can do everything else like use the internet receive texts etc. I had another issue earlier today where my phone shut off randomly and wouldnt turn back on when i knew it ha almost full battery. I took out the battery the sim and then out them back in no luck eventually i took out the s pen and it worked. A few hour later i got home and tried to send and text and no luck. Ive tried everything i cleared the Google services framework cache and text message app cache Ive tried another texting app and even restored it to factory settings. still same issue. What i can do next. I'm on Verizon and bought the phone off amazon wireless.

View 1 Replies View RelatedJust got my refurbished Captivate in the mail today, charged and activated it as per the instructions. It worked just fine for about 30 minutes or so. I put on a few apps and showed them off to my roommate, and things were going fine. Then all of a sudden I couldn't send or receive phone calls, nor was I able to get/send text messages. With no pattern or logic I would go from 3g to edge to neither of the two symbols (just full signal strength) to the international no sign where my full bars just were. If I typed and tried to send a text while the no sign was visible it would send and receive texts as soon as I got signal back, but that would only last a few minutes.
I've tried hard and soft resets and restoring the phone to factory settings, all to no avail, as well as checking my message center number. I've looked around in the forums and can't seem to find anyone who has had this problem, and I was hoping someone would have some advice or could point me to a thread that I may have missed. I'd talk to AT&T but chat hours are over and I have to be up early for work tomorrow and need my phone for that, so I'm not sure I can ask customer service tomorrow beforehand.
I came across this in the marketplace. It basically lights up your screen on and off when you have a missed call or text. You have to option to set the frequency your screen flashes to notify you (every 5, 10 seconds, etc) and for how long this goes on (1 hour, 2 hours, etc) Gonna try it out. Not sure if it's a battery drainer or not, just trying it out myself.

My samsung galaxy s3 have same imei as i check on the back of my phone,as i dial *#06# and as i check to about device.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI just got the Samsung Galaxy 3 which came with Jellybean going from a Droid 2 with a older version of the operating system. Is there a way to dial directly from Recent Calls without selecting the actually contact. I can't find a way to do it. I have to click the contact and then click the little green phone icon. On my old Droid the little green phone icon was all the way to the right of the contact and you could just dial the directly. Also, is there a way to make it default to Recent instead of the Keypad when you select the Phone icon. Or is there a Shortcut for Recent Calls that I can get. Again, there was a Shortcut that came with my old Droid that I was able to use.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have the Behold II through T Mobile and when I'm on the road and in certain places I will have full bars but no 3g, or wifi. When I try to send a text it says "Unable to send text, will send once service becomes avalible" When I try to make a call it says service unavalible.
It tells me I have full bars, and when I go to network selection, it doesnt matter what network i choose or whats avalible it wont connect to it, a message will pop up and say "Network with limited service avalible, search for network" ..if i say yes it just does the same thing all over again, and if i say no it goes into automatic mode and wont let me do anything once again..
I have full bars, does that not matter? If I have to have 3g then why would it tell me i have a full signal when I really dont.
There's actually a phone made by Fujitsu that's similar in that it can be booted into the full desktop windows 7 32 bit by the switch of a button. The downside I see to it is that when you are running it the phones radio is turned off so you can't receive calls or texts also the phone UI is some proprietary Fujitsu software. Needless to say it looks pretty lame compared to Android but nevertheless it's still pretty awesome looking. Here's a few links: URLs....

My mobile is always on silent.. Because of my professional requirements.
What I am looking is a software by which I can add specific numbers (my wife; my dad and my mom and my boss).. These four numbers I want to add to a list which will always ring even if my mobile is on silent mode.
Got a problem with my new Samsung galaxy S2 that's stumping.Several times a day, for several minutes at a time, I'm unable or send or revive text messages. During this ~5 min window I am also unable to make or receive calls. Outgoing texts will time out and outgoing call just stay at "dialing" and then time out. The issue resolves itself after a few minutes.
NOTES:
• This started when I switched to an iPhone on Sprint from my Samsung Epic 4g on Sprint. Thinking it was the iPhone issue, I switched to a Galaxy SII... which does the exact same thing.
• I have signal bars the whole time
• my girlfriend, who shares the cell plan and my house never has this issue (she has an Evolution 4g)
• tried updating the PRL, profile and even had Sprint reset my MSID#.
• happened on stock EK02 ROM, and rooted EL29 roms.
So I just got the Samsung Galaxy S4. Whenever I try to use S Voice, it never listens to my commands. If I press the microphone button S-Voice immediately says "I didn't hear that. Please say it again" with literally NO time for me to ever say a single thing. Also, saying "Hi Galaxy" never gets it to pick up on me either.

View 6 Replies View RelatedIf I make a spelling error when typing a text but dont notice it until the text is finished it can be quite difficult to correct. Its a case of trying to insert the cursor by the error and then backspacing. This can be quite tricky. Or is there another way to do it? On my laptop there are directional arrows which allow me to take the cursor back through the text without deleting letters on the way. Is there an equivalent on the phone keypad?
