After messing with the 3.5 Dash D170 for a while, I've figured out a few fixes that you can do to get the most out of it. Below are the links with pertinent stuff..Root the device - URL.....
I ported cwm recovery with video enabled.URL.....
I also ported one custom rom for Dash 3.5 .URL....
Install Calendar Google Sync (in system/app) -URL.....
Install GoogleVoice -URL.....
Replacement Batteries - Authorized dealer is: URL.....
I just got a Blu Dash 3.5, and for some reason Google Play thinks it's incompatible with my phone (same with Calendar, but I can live without that for now.) I tried searching for a Google Voice APK on the forums and was able to side load install it and run it, but it kept running into mysterious connection errors when logging in.
Is there any way I can get Google Voice running on this thing? The phone is running 2.3.5. URL.....

I'm looking into writing an Android game, tough I don't curerntly own an Android device. For those of you who own a device, how does the performance on the emulator relate to real device performance? I'm especially interested in graphics related tasks. This obviously depends on both the machine running the emulator, and the specific device in question, but I'm talking rough numbers here. This question is a duplicate, but since that post is heavily outdated, I figured it's irrelevant by now.

I'm seeing people complain the phone is too big. And I saw one guy complaining the screen can't be used with a fingernail. These are all things that you should of known when buying the phone. No one forced you to buy it so please stop complaining about irrelevant issues. If you have a real problem post in the troubleshooting thread or return the phone. No one cares if your returning your phone. Not trying to rant but its getting ridiculous.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI just wanted to acknowledge all of the Mods & Guides that make this such a great forum and community. After using many other forums trying to find help and support for family members phones, both dumb and smart. do I mean the phones or the family members?), it is easily apparent how much your hard work and time have really helped to make this such a great place. Unlike most of the other forums I have visited (which shall remain nameless), this forum is heads and shoulders above the rest in terms of organization, content and courtesy. You guys and gals do a tremendous job keeping the forum easy to use and also help to keep community going.
View 5 Replies View RelatedAre there any developers online working on getting this thing rooted? Im currently an eris user and it took forever to get that thing rooted. And Im loving it for now, but im aware of its current limitations. But since I been rooted, I pretty much have an irish twin of the incredible. live wallpapers with sense, and all of the 2.1 features. Id be totally psyched about purchasing an incredible (would have to be bought at full price though), rooting it and using cyanogen mods on it. What a glorious day that would be, when that its possible. Right now I'm not too concerned with the incredible just yet. I'm not frustrated enough with my rooted eris to want to forsake it for its replacement. Have fun with your new devices though people.

By renaming this section, you will actually make sure they're side by side with each other and eliminate the confusion.

View 3 Replies View RelatedSo, I've overclocked my EVO 3D to a reasonable 1.5 GHz(maximum recommended frequency by Qualcomm for S3 processors). Will that degrade its performance? I am talking about long-term effects.
HTC EVO 3D X515m
I have other non China android phones that records video pretty impressively under bad or average lighting conditions. According to MT6573's specification, it has support for advanced 3D graphics; multi-format video capture and playback up to FWVGA 30fps; high-resolution camera support to 8MP.
An irritating thing is that the camera is TOTALLY USELESS under average or poor lighting conditions when recording. I have tried with different apps and they all gave me disappointing video recordings (almost total darkness clips).
[URL] .... There was an update today that is said to make this app compatible with the Nexus 7, but the store is still marking my device as incompatible.
I need this widget to verify Tethering works correctly.
I flashed the 2.2 SBF this morning, mainly because I had some free time and wanted to see if maybe it would alleviate the random reboots I am experiencing.
I have all of my mods back in place. However, the R2D2 boot animation isn't working.
I installed it like I did before, from bootstrap recovery. I did the mod to my build.prop for the sound, just like I had before.
However, I still have the default red eye boot animation - now with the R2D2 sound.
I'm wondering if removing the rom's bootanimation.zip will speedup the device in at least two ways:Bootup, by not having to load the animation; Overall usage, since the bootanimation.zip 's space will/should be freed on the phone's storage is any of those scenarios bound to happen and support my device?

I deleted all battery monitoring apps and stopped looking at the battery usage info 50 times a day. I did this over one week ago, and couldn't be happier. No more looking at that god awful percentage meter, no more watching in dismay as it drops, and drops, and drops. My battery performance has never been better now that I quite looking at it all day and my sanity has slowly begun to return.
View 5 Replies View RelatedWe acquired a Samsung Moment today, and find that it's 3D performance is very poor compared to the HTC and Motorola devices. I've tried all the tricks I know (color depths, rendering options), but can't get much out of it. Rotating a single textured quad is jerky. I understand that the Galaxy was missing a software component, and that once a surrogate was added, the 3D performance was acceptable. Does anybody have the real low-down on this issue? Specifically: * Do others also find the Moment to be a poor 3D performer? * Is there any word about Samsung fixing this? * Am I missing something obvious?
