im using sony xperia U i installed many tweaks and mods on to stock ics ROM...when we back up this ROM with custom recovery does it also backup's tweaks and mods so that i can restore them..?

I've been coding for Android for awhile now, but just with a basic UI. I'm coding an app for a friend in which I simply retrieve his tweets, and Facebook statuses, and I wanted to have a sleek UI for it. I know that since every phone runs ICS, which means they won't get the Holo theme(<3). Are there templates that I can use, or what?

I just got a Blu Dash 3.5, and for some reason Google Play thinks it's incompatible with my phone (same with Calendar, but I can live without that for now.) I tried searching for a Google Voice APK on the forums and was able to side load install it and run it, but it kept running into mysterious connection errors when logging in.
Is there any way I can get Google Voice running on this thing? The phone is running 2.3.5. URL.....
I have a rooted tablet running 4.0.4 Android and would like to know if there's anything I can do to speed up a bit?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have been sorely disappointed with the twitter apps on Android for one reason and one reason only: Not one of the twitter apps I have used has had any way of indicating which tweets are new and which ones aren't.
My only other experience with mobile twitter apps have been iPhone apps. On all of them whenever the app was opened the newest tweets were pointed out in some way. A lot of times is was with a highlighted background, but the best way I've seen was with a sort of "memory" feature. The app would remember which tweet you were viewing when you last had it open, and then when you opened it again it would show the timeline in the same place it had been when you closed the app and the newer tweets would be loaded on top of that. Several apps did it this way.
It seems goofy to me that not one of the Android programmers who have made twitter apps thought of something like this, so I have been assuming I am missing something. I use the Twidroid Pro app (on a Droid), and there is a setting in there that says "Remember Timeline position" so I made sure I checked that. It sounded like that would do what I described above, however it doesn't do anything that I've been able to see...

I've been reading my tweets through Twitter on my Incredible for a few weeks now. Suddenly, today, nothing shows up other than the Twitter logo and the "What's Happening" bar. When I click refresh.....it says ...loading, and then displays "No Tweets". I know there are tweets, I'm reading them right now on the computer.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to find a Twitter app that will let you share tweets via email but not using Gmail. I would like to use an email account located on my domain & server, but the only option that appears to be available from the apps I have looked at is by using only Gmail.
I have looked at several Twitter apps, including Twidroyd, Touiteur, Tweetdeck & Seesmic - none of these let you use any email account except for Gmail.
I prefer not to use Gmail as it is both unreliable in sending and insists on CC'ing every email that is sent out, even though I have that setting disabled.
There must be some sort of solution to this - I cannot believe that you cannot use non-Gmail accounts for sharing tweets!
Have any of you found a Twitter app that can use the phone's GPS to find tweets from people in your geographic area? I used an app called Twitterific on the iPhone that had this feature and it was a great way to learn what's going on locally.
The closest I've come is an app called Tweetkin. It works, but has some shortcomings. For example, it doesn't allow you to click on links. It also doesn't allow you to access your regular list of people you follow on Twitter.
I think I'm probably missing something really obvious but how do I view another person's at tweets with Seesmic? eg. If someone tweets a question and I want to check nobody has answered before I reply to them.

I'd like to know if there's a way to use Titanium Backup to preform a backup and then transfer those backups to my computer ?
I know this may sound simple but am under the impression that when you make a backup of your ROM and other files on your device, it has to stay on the device.
When making a NANDROID backup, is it safer and more useful if one can store those backups on one's computer ?
Am sure there's a way to do this but am not sure if there's already an app for it.
with the latest versions of Titanium Backup, I can't seem to figure out how to do batch backup and restore of apps and data anymore.

I think it's useless backup apk files, I can download them from Google play store.
I'm currently using Nikez Lente's ICS rom 1.0.1a9 and what is the system app name for the phone's homescreen where all my apps, widgets are currently stored. I'm a bit of a flash freak so every now and then I drag my at least 40-50 apps one by one.

These are all things that you should of known when buying the phone. No one forced you to buy it so please stop complaining about irrelevant issues. If you have a real problem post in the troubleshooting thread or return the phone. No one cares if your returning your phone. Not trying to rant but its getting ridiculous.

And Im loving it for now, but im aware of its current limitations. But since I been rooted, I pretty much have an irish twin of the incredible. live wallpapers with sense, and all of the 2.1 features. Id be totally psyched about purchasing an incredible (would have to be bought at full price though), rooting it and using cyanogen mods on it. What a glorious day that would be, when that its possible. Right now I'm not too concerned with the incredible just yet. I'm not frustrated enough with my rooted eris to want to forsake it for its replacement. Have fun with your new devices though people.
