General :: Blu Dash 3.5 Necessary Mods

After messing with the 3.5 Dash D170 for a while, I've figured out a few fixes that you can do to get the most out of it. Below are the links with pertinent stuff..Root the device - URL.....
I ported cwm recovery with video enabled.URL.....
I also ported one custom rom for Dash 3.5 .URL....
Install Calendar Google Sync (in system/app) -URL.....
Install GoogleVoice -URL.....
Replacement Batteries - Authorized dealer is: URL.....
I just got a Blu Dash 3.5, and for some reason Google Play thinks it's incompatible with my phone (same with Calendar, but I can live without that for now.) I tried searching for a Google Voice APK on the forums and was able to side load install it and run it, but it kept running into mysterious connection errors when logging in.
Is there any way I can get Google Voice running on this thing? The phone is running 2.3.5. URL.....

I have a Blu Dash 4.0 rom with damaged and incapable of doing root. Got another mobile Dash 4.0 and would like to back up the phone to use this rom in another that is damaged, how can I do this?
I found that by holding the vol - more power the phone goes into recovery mode where there is the option "apply update from the external extorage". How can I make an update compatible with this phone?

I plan on buying a car in a few months, and I have this grand dream of replacing the radio/nav stuff with a connected Android tablet, probably the Tab 7.0+ on TMo. I'd have Google Maps and all my music with Google's Car Home interface resting right in the dash.

I have an old beat up Motorola Droid 1 that I've been using as a dedicated dash cam in my car and it's been working great except the battery life isn't great. I keep it in Airplane Mode and it is always connected to the charger but it only charges when the car is running, so when I'm not driving the phone stays on and after a day it dies. Need increasing the battery life? It's rooted and running a custom ROM (Bugless Beast) v0.5 which is Android 2.2) so I'm able to disable any unnecessary apps or services that aren't being used. I'll never use it as anything except a dash cam so even things like GPS are unnecessary. I don't have any apps installed besides the ones used for the dash cam functions.
I keep the phone in a windshield mount and it stays plugged in and I have an app called AutomateIt that detects power whenever I turn on the ignition and it opens up another app called DailyRoads which is set to automatically start recording once opened. I then have AutomateIt set to detect when the power source is shut off and it closes DailyRoads at that point. It works great and all videos are saved to the phone's microSD card. To save space I disabled audio recording so only video is recorded. Finally, I have a tiny wide-angle lens glued over the phone's regular camera lens so that there's a much wider field of view than normal. The more I capture the better.

purchased a Blu Dash 4.0 D270i mobile phone. I decided to rooting the device and delete some apps that I thought but just deleting useless files that should not. Now the device home button no longer works, the screen does not lock anymore, I can make calls but can not receive, always falls on the mailbox, anyway .. I ended up making a big silly and would like to know how to recover my phone was perfect before that everything I did. I reset the device but as deleted files from the System / App, even resetting the device remains the same problems. I searched for some rom that works on the device but not found.

I have a Blu Life Play running 4.2.1 and Lockscreen Widgets are enabled and work.
When I installed Dash Clock, I don't see the option for selecting it in the widget list for the lock screen. I only see the stock widgets and a few for other apps installed.
On the home screen, I can get the settings widget, allowing me to change settings and manage extensions. But in the lock screen, the widget is no where to be found.I tried changing the security settings, used every option available for security, none work.

I have the pro version of dynamic notification and I'm trouble getting dash clock weather widget on the dynamic notification screen. I downloaded dashclock, added the weather widget extension, and enabled dashclock in dynamic notification options. But nothing shows up on my dynamic notification screen.

Is there an app or other way to see how many times you have flashed different roms, mods, themes etc?
I tried triangle away by chainfire but it didnt show exactly how many times device have been flashed.. (exellent app otherwise)

Does anyone who has the Motorola car mount know how strong the 3M tape on the dash adapter is? I'm concerned that if I put it on my dash I won't be able to remove it without taking part of the dash off with it. Does anyone have any experience with removing the plastic disk and tape?

I'm seeing people complain the phone is too big. And I saw one guy complaining the screen can't be used with a fingernail. These are all things that you should of known when buying the phone. No one forced you to buy it so please stop complaining about irrelevant issues. If you have a real problem post in the troubleshooting thread or return the phone. No one cares if your returning your phone. Not trying to rant but its getting ridiculous.

After using many other forums trying to find help and support for family members phones, both dumb and smart. do I mean the phones or the family members?), it is easily apparent how much your hard work and time have really helped to make this such a great place. Unlike most of the other forums I have visited (which shall remain nameless), this forum is heads and shoulders above the rest in terms of organization, content and courtesy. Are there any developers online working on getting this thing rooted? Im currently an eris user and it took forever to get that thing rooted. And Im loving it for now, but im aware of its current limitations. But since I been rooted, I pretty much have an irish twin of the incredible. live wallpapers with sense, and all of the 2.1 features. Id be totally psyched about purchasing an incredible (would have to be bought at full price though), rooting it and using cyanogen mods on it. What a glorious day that would be, when that its possible. Right now I'm not too concerned with the incredible just yet. I'm not frustrated enough with my rooted eris to want to forsake it for its replacement. Have fun with your new devices though people.

I'm pretty new to Android and the Droid X will be my first smartphone. I'm really excited and at the same time a little sad b/c i've been doing a lot of research and reading about rooting and the droid world and the with encryped BL on the DX... anyways... my question is this: the droid x can record 720p video at about 24 fps. is there any kind of mod/tweak/code that can up that fps to 30, assuming u can at least root but not break the encryption?

I wasn't even aware of a separate section for the Sprint Hero until it was pointed out in the HTC Hero section. The reason being that when I see HTC Hero, I would not in a million years even think of scrolling down to Sprint HTC Hero.
By renaming this section, you will actually make sure they're side by side with each other and eliminate the confusion.

I am very interested in the new clip/holster case combo for the droid but i also use the car mount unit daily. I was wondering if the case will still work with the dash mount or will i have to remove the case every time...
This is a deal breaker for me and im sure lots of people will use the navigation with the dash mount but this will stop lots of sales of the clip/case combo. hopefully seideo or someone will think of this and make a case that will work for both belt clip and dash mount. Looks like the protection film guys will get lots of business from this.

Even when I tried to update number in the contact
why I don't want it , because when I make a backup , the numbers will be with dash ( E.g. 1111-1111-1111 ) and this format I can't restore it in another website or software how can remove auto dash?
