Is there an app or other way to see how many times you have flashed different roms, mods, themes etc?
I tried triangle away by chainfire but it didnt show exactly how many times device have been flashed.. (exellent app otherwise)
If it matters device is GT-I9300, GT-I9250, GT-I9000 (Galaxy S3, Galaxy Nexus, Galaxy S)

View 2 Replies View RelatedI flashed the 2.2 SBF this morning, mainly because I had some free time and wanted to see if maybe it would alleviate the random reboots I am experiencing.
I have all of my mods back in place. However, the R2D2 boot animation isn't working.
I installed it like I did before, from bootstrap recovery. I did the mod to my build.prop for the sound, just like I had before.
However, I still have the default red eye boot animation - now with the R2D2 sound.
I'm doing a bit of research before going on to root my HTC Salsa. I wanna know that after rooting will I be able to flash ANY new ROM that comes into the market?
Or is there any hardware restriction as such?
My HTC Salsa currently has the following specs - Android 2.3.3, HTC Sence 2.1
So if a new ROM comes out and has got Sense 3.5, ICS Update, Beats Audio etc etc.. will I be able to install it on my device or will there be any hardware problems?
I'm pretty new to Android and the Droid X will be my first smartphone. I'm really excited and at the same time a little sad b/c i've been doing a lot of research and reading about rooting and the droid world and the with encryped BL on the DX... anyways... my question is this: the droid x can record 720p video at about 24 fps. is there any kind of mod/tweak/code that can up that fps to 30, assuming u can at least root but not break the encryption?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI rooted my phone with Unrevoked 3 and just installed the FPS fix kernal. For those of you who have not done so yet, I strongly urge you to give it a try. The smoothness of the phone after installing the fix is 10 times better. My FPS went from 30 to 50-55 as measured by Fps2D. I will be observing the battery life over the next couple of days to see if there is any impact on the battery life. Now that I have gone this far, I am considering installing a custom ROM. Which ROM's can I install given what I have done so far. As I understand it, by rooting with Unrevoked 3 there will be some that I will not be able to use.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to implement The Android LicenseChecker in my app, and I've followed the instructions almost verbatim from the developer site. Everything seems hooked up correctly, but every single time I get the "Check timed out." message. I increased the timeout value to 30 seconds, I'm logged into my device (which has the market app installed) with my publisher account login gmail address.
I set the test response to Licensed. I saved (but didn't publish) a sample app to test with. When that didn't work, I tried using an app that is already published and just rebuilding the apk locally to include the LVL implementation. I definitely have 3g connectivity. I can browse the web on the device and other connected apps are working correctly.
So it's almost bed time here on the east coast... It's interesting enough to hear the "Droid..." notification (changeable, I know) every time a FB friend posts, I get a TXT or an e-mail. Problem is, I don't want to receive these at 3 in the morninig, nor do I want to turn off my sounds in case of a call or TXT that *is* important.
Any way to tell the Droid exactly when I want it to check facebook and e-mail? Old LG 10000 allowed you to set the times it checked for e-mail.

I just got a Blu Dash 3.5, and for some reason Google Play thinks it's incompatible with my phone (same with Calendar, but I can live without that for now.) I tried searching for a Google Voice APK on the forums and was able to side load install it and run it, but it kept running into mysterious connection errors when logging in.
Is there any way I can get Google Voice running on this thing? The phone is running 2.3.5. URL.....
