Jan 23, 2010Since I've had the phone now for a little over a month, about half the time that I start up Maps, it shows "My Position" as being at a house I lived at about a year ago, which is about an hour drive from where I live now. Back then, I was not with Verizon, but with ATT.
After a minute or so on Maps, it brings up my correct position. That changed about 4 days ago when I received a signal extender that was ordered from Verizon. Now, Maps starts up showing that I'm near a golf course in Canyon Lake, California. About 3 minutes later, it corrects itself.

General :: Google Maps App Doesn't Sync Names With Google Bookmarks
Apr 17, 2013I'm using the latest version of Google Maps on JB 4.2.2 [Nexus 4]..I noticed that I cannot edit the names of my locations in "My Places" in the phone app. So I used Google Bookmarks (google.com/bookmarks) from my PC to edit/rename My Places. However, the names do not sync or carry through to the Google Maps app on the phone. The names in the app are still the generic names, coordinates or street names.
Is there any way to change the names of My Places and get them to sync with the phone app? Really baffling!
General :: Google Calendar App And Notification Light?
May 30, 2013Previously, I was just using the stock calendar app on my GNex (whatever would come with the gapps package from 3/1), but I noticed the Play Store version got updated, and my stock one couldn't "update" to that version for whatever reason. So, I installed the one from the Play Store and disabled the stock app.
I always let any calendar events leave a notification in my notification pull down menu, because it's a good easy reminder that I have something to do in the near future (so I don't forget, duh). But with this new Play Store version, if I leave the item in my notification bar, when my screen is off, the notification LED constantly blinks white. It never did this on the stock version. I want it to stop doing that, but I can't find anything in the settings of the app specifically related to the LED. I just see the option to turn notifications on or off, but I want to keep the actual notification in my pull down bar. Is that possible, or no?

I just got a Blu Dash 3.5, and for some reason Google Play thinks it's incompatible with my phone (same with Calendar, but I can live without that for now.) I tried searching for a Google Voice APK on the forums and was able to side load install it and run it, but it kept running into mysterious connection errors when logging in.
Is there any way I can get Google Voice running on this thing? The phone is running 2.3.5. URL.....

It works in several maps, but the second I activate navigation for Google Maps I get an annoying popup telling me to activate GPS. I just want that popup to go away but cant.
