how can i quit that purple thing of my screen, appears after factory reset and wipe data... i do that cuz my baseband was lost and doing that i found it again.. but that purple thing came out..

So I know this has been a recurring problem, the quick keys at the bottom of the screen being purple.But no one has ever figured out what to do about it?Is there a way to cover them up or something so they aren't visable at all?It may be my OCD acting up, but i feel disgusted at the prospect of having to look at a phone whose 4 buttons are different colors for the next two years.
View 16 Replies View Relatedi am facing is that when i power on my mobile [Its HTM H10 MTK6572 running stock rom 4.2.2], Boot animation appears and just after that, lockscreen comes for a sec. and then again it reboots and same thing happens! I don't know what is the cause.
By the way, It is not rooted now as it was before. Before this happened, I only updated SuperSU and nothing. The worst thing is that i can't access settings from app drawer and usb debugging got disabled itself (yes, i had it enabled.). Good thing? I can access recovery mode (stock).
EDIT:- My friend told me that your device is soft-bricked.
recently bought a Note 3 based in a MTK6572 processor, but the signal doesn't work, I've tried many methods to solve it but no one has worked, I don't know what to do. Obviously this happens cause the IMEI is invalid.

My phone is dead after I flash a wrong preloader my phone model is alps GT-I9500 mtk6572 . I try with ALL ROM on needrom.com with keyworld "alps" "GT-I9500" "mtk6572" ... about 20 ROM but I get Enable DRAM FAILED for each try
Use case :
1- Disconnet the battery and wait 10 seconds
2- Open flash tools with the scatter file
3- Connect the phone usb cable to pc
4- Plug the batterie on the phone
==> MTK USB PORT (COM XX) ok : drivers on the pc seems to be ok
5- On flash tools press download

on the web they say the cause is the wrong ROM but I don't know (I try over than 20 ROM)

I tried setting the white balance and nothing seems to work. When I switch back to a 2.1 rom everything is fine. This is the only thing keeping me from staying with 2.2.

I just used some great app and now I'm done, and... I want to *exit* the app. So I look for the 'exit' button.'quit' button.. nope can't find it.. !? Is there really no 'quit' button for android apps? (like in all other operating systems: the X button at the top right corner of the window) Shurely this can't be true. Only way to quit is to go to the home menu and start up a 2nd application dedicated to killing other apps and then kill app nr 1 from that?? Like buying a car that only has an 'on' switch and when i arrive at my destination, I have to open the hood and disconnect a gas lead or sometning to stop the engine.. (Or press the back button 10 times go through all documents you viewed until you reach the home screen). Isn't this like one of the basic features an OS should provide in its user interface?

The main reason for me using it is because I kept missing messages and handcent allows to make at least longer vibes.

It will be back and running in about 5 minutes and say it has been running since the phone has been awake, like it was never turned off to begin with or the time running would be real low. When notifyDestroyed() is called in my ME program and calling finish() but the application doesn't close correctly.
The App goes to background and when launched again it shows an error message and presents an option to "force close" the App, if i force close it and launch again, the app launches fine but again the same has to be repeated upon every launch..
Can you please explain why the App is not being erased from memory when finish() is called.
when i check the log i found no exceptions when closing but when launched again it throws a null pointer exception.
for now to work around I placed "System.exit(0)" after calling finish () so that the app is exited abruptly, but am waiting for a valid answer on whats going on behind...?
I'm working on adding a tab to an application, but the last two tabs (regardless of order) are launching the same activity. If I go down to two tabs they both work correctly, but when I add the third the last two result in the same activity launching.

I'm pretty confused about the Network Mode settings in my Tattoo so perhaps one of you fine folks could help me?My phone is currently set for Network mode: GSM / WCDMA auto which seems to be the only options I can find. In the status bar my connection speed switches from G to 3G automatically, which is fine.My question is whether this is still ok for the 3.5G areas. I think it should change from '3G' to 'H' but I've never been in a covered area to see if this happens. I cannot see an HSDPA option which is what I was expecting but I have a feeling that the WCDMA covers this. Is this right?I suppose it basically boils down to why the network mode is "GSM / WCDMA" and not "GSM / WCDMA / HSDPA"?I know the Tattoo supports HSDPA but I cant find it anywhere among the options.I'm probably making this far more confusing than it should be.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am planning to release a trial version of my app and am looking into best ways to implement the logic. My lite version of the app would have all the features but will be time restricted. I see a couple of issues:
- Currently there is no mechanism built into android that allows an app to be closed. I see that you can close the main acitivity, but the user can always press the back button and go back into the app.
- After trial period, the user can always un-install the app and re- install it. What do I do to prevent this from happening?
My GPS quit working yesterday in Ruidoso, NM. Was working great all weekend, even in the mountains. Yesterday morning, it refused to find my location. Rebooted several times (didn't remove battery-should have) but it never kicked in. Turned GPS off, but kept turning it on periodically just to check it on the drive back to Austin. When we got home, I checked it one more time and it was working? I'm very glad it's working, but just wonder why it stopped? I really missed it!
