I've tried different cables including its own cable. Yes, I've installed drivers. Yes, I tried enabling and disabling USB debugging. Yes, I tried cleaning the USB port, both on the computer and the device. Yes, I've connected the device to multiple computers. Yes, I've power cycled both the device and the computer.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have probably bricked my Huawei Vision by rewriting boot image.
However, I can connect* it to PC and it sees my phone as "Huawei Handset" (same with Windows and Linux). But Windows misses its drivers (non-bricked phone worked); Linux seems to work. No OS can connect to it using default (downloaded) ADB, nor Fastboot, nor SoftwareUpdateTool.
Its PCI ID is 12d1:c002.
How could I reflash it? I would prefer the ways without disassembling the phone.
How to boot the phone, so you can connect it to PC:
1. turn off my phone completely (vol up + power for 10 seconds - release power for a seconds and repeat it once again)
2. prepare USB cable, so you can connect it in few seconds
3. hold vol down + power and after ~1s, connect USB cable (still hold vol down)
4. when Huawei logo appears, release both buttons - your phone is connected now
I've already tried (re)installing the drivers and removing driver signatures in windows 8 x64. Moreover, changing the USB ports and cable didn't work either. The command "ADB Devices" works when the phone is on and in debugging mode. But once I run it in fastboot, I can't get past this screen.

I get a message that pops up in windows that says "USB Device Not Recognized" yet my phone is charging. I've wiped multiple times and reflashed my rom and still no luck. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the USB drivers but it didnt do anything. I really need to be able transfer a ton of files to my sd card from my computer.

I checked Samsung Galaxy s2, galaxy ACE, desire C, but none of them could get connected. In the device manager it shows an error "THE DEVICE CANNOT START (code 10)"
I even tried using ANdroid SDK drivers & also the SAmsung drivers on their site. But it coudnt start. Windows update also coudn't find a suitable driver for it.
So I have a Samsung Vibrant (just got it recently) and I'm having problems when i connect it to the computer. It gives me an USB device not recognized on my windows 8 computer. I have spent all morning searching and reinstalling drivers and trying my old pc and new cables and i found out that my old windows 7 computer with 4GB of ram and an overloaded hard drive will detect my device the problem there is it not my main computer and i don't want to have to connect all the vga cables boot it up connect mouse and ets to use this computer just to be able to copy files, and do other things from my computer to my phone I don't know why my main computer dell inspiron windows 8 will not work when it was a couple of days ago when i had a problem with connectivity and had to flash back to stock but now it wont connect.

I have a huawei honor device and by mistake while I was formating my laptop to windows xp through the cd booting. My device was USB connected and I deleted the SD card and phone memory by mistake.
Know, I can see only the SD card memory, but can't see the internal memory for device.
The device normally has a 4GB internal memory, 2GB are for the software and the remaining 2GB for usage.
I'd tried downloading new rom, but still the same problem! Need retrieving the lost 2GB memory ?
I've had no really problem and i had the phone since it was brought out..on TMobile in the uk. Pluged phone into usb and nothing, all i get is a windows message saying device drivers could not be installed properley, then usb device not recognized. Have uninstalled and reinstalled software and that hasnt helped. Also when i do plug phone into the usb, absolutely nothing happens on my hero. Please help as i have been waiting ages for the windows 7 sync software to come out as i couldnt get my head round the old work around, and want to start getting the full benifits from my hero.
View 14 Replies View RelatedThat's the error win 7 gives me when I plug in my Hero (cdma, not sprint, running zen-EXP-0.9.6.2 update 2) it won't let me do anything with the phone via the computer. I've tried changing sd cards to no avail, tried changing roms, but the phone wouldn't finish booting with any other rom that I have, (or even a reinstall of the currently used rom) I don't have any previous nandroid backups. (I swear I made them! but they weren't found!) I'm at a loss as to what even happened here unless it was a malicious program.
View 7 Replies View RelatedWhen I connect my Desire with a USB cable, the PC says "Device not recognised", and the phone keeps searching for a while untill it says it cannot find HTC Sync. No contact is possible, also not as diskdrive. What I have tried to solve this; Downloaded latest version of HTC Sync, gave it a fresh install (firewall and internet connection turned off), rebooted PC, rebooted phone, but to no avail. Also I checked the USB ports in Device manager, and at one port (the one with the Desire connected), it says "unknown device". It looks like no drivers are installed.
I also tried copying the drivers manually to the win32 directory, but this did not help. All this I repeated several times, browsed the web for hours and hours, made a handfull of calls to the friendly people at HTC, but neither of these solved the issue. To complicate matters; the first couple of days Syncing just worked fine, the two weeks after that not anymore. On some occasions, after a complete new installation-session, the device connected once, but not anymore after that. Since the calendar has become the center pillar of my existence, I am on the verge of becoming hugely frustrated. Hoping the truth is out there, and somebody of you guys knows about it..
I am trying to add my motorola milestone device into PC and debug in the device. When i put the usb cable, the device opens in data storage mode and opens the folder. But when i do a "adb devices" i dont see any device. i did the usb_driver fresh installation guide, but it returned "windows could not find a better driver than currently installed" I havd pointed to sdpath/usb_driver what's wrong and how to resolve this?

I have bought a new cable < universal> I did not have the OEM cable and Samsung refused to send me one said it was tmobiles responsibility. I have hooked it up to a Vista 32 bit system and nothing. Also when I hook it too the usb it only shows charging no usb notification on the screen. I seem to remember reading it should have a usb symbol on the upper right corner? I have also already set the system setting to usb mass storage.
So I tried to update my phone from home a few days ago. It didn't work. I got to the Volume Down+Camera+End step and plugged in the USB and it said "USB device not recognized." Something like that. I tried for about an hour, restarting PC, toggling USB debugging, and turning off the phone. After that, I got fed up and deleted the update software from my desktop and told my mom to take me to Sprint next weekend.

I do a lot of science-type stuff (astronomy), and also photograph at night. I used a red-tinted flashlight, so as to not ruin my night vision. I would love to be able to use my phone while shooting, or doing astronomy stuff out in the dark, and not have bright white glow from the phone.
I have installed Google Music, which I would like to use to sync/listen to music. My problem is that externally controlling playback (play/pause/skip) does not automatically control Google Music, but the stock Gingerbread Music player.
Of course, from within the Google Music app itself it works, but external control like from the CyanogenMod lock screen widget or from Bluetooth AVRCP commands it always starts playing on the stock player.
It actually works after I launch Google Music once manually. It seems to control the last used/active app automatically, which is good. But when there's nothing running, it defaults to the stock player.
Is there a way to change that? It's annoying especially with Bluetooth AVRCP and A2DP in the car..
After updating from stock 2.3.3 To Gen.Y Vision X ROM, callers faced some terrible echo when speaking with me. I updated Radio to one suggested and it was fixed. Soon after this update speaker in my phone failed. So I have 2 questions. Could that failure be caused by radio firmware? How should I choose radio software to flash?
After getting my phone fixed (not without troubles, because device is rooted, and I didn't clean it up properly) I didn't flashed new radio yet. I did flashed latest Gen'Y Vision X ROM. May I flash radio after ROM without any problems, or should I flash Radio and than ROM?
I have the following issue:
My old phone is a rooted htc vision (android 2.3). I want to transfer app data (savegames, settings, whatsapp verification, etc...) to my new phone which is an unrooted nexus 5.
I have titanium backups of my 2.3 apps but i can't use them on my nexus 5 as it is not rooted.
Is there a way to use the titanium backup files with helium (which works without root)?!
Or do i have any other opportunity to get the existing app data from the old phone to the new one without rooting the nexus?
