General :: Android Device Not Recognized On Windows 7 X86

I have windows update turned on. I tried checking this on another USB port, but same doesnt get recognised. I even tried it on different PC, it gets perfectly recognised there.
I checked Samsung Galaxy s2, galaxy ACE, desire C, but none of them could get connected. In the device manager it shows an error "THE DEVICE CANNOT START (code 10)"
I even tried using ANdroid SDK drivers & also the SAmsung drivers on their site. But it coudnt start. Windows update also coudn't find a suitable driver for it.

So I have a Samsung Vibrant (just got it recently) and I'm having problems when i connect it to the computer. It gives me an USB device not recognized on my windows 8 computer. I have spent all morning searching and reinstalling drivers and trying my old pc and new cables and i found out that my old windows 7 computer with 4GB of ram and an overloaded hard drive will detect my device the problem there is it not my main computer and i don't want to have to connect all the vga cables boot it up connect mouse and ets to use this computer just to be able to copy files, and do other things from my computer to my phone I don't know why my main computer dell inspiron windows 8 will not work when it was a couple of days ago when i had a problem with connectivity and had to flash back to stock but now it wont connect.
Here's a list of things i've tried
installing kies
installing adb again
aoi tool and then drivers
a bunch of different drivers found on the forums
different usb cable

The mounting and unmounting of the sd card, I read up and Ordered a class 6 verbatum card. But the big Issue is my windows will not recognize the behold 2. When I hook it up it tells me usb device not recognized then inside it says Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43) Port_#0006.Hub_#0005. I have tried to install the usb drives I found on this site but it will not allow them to install. I have gone in and deleted My upper and lower system file in the registry.
I have bought a new cable < universal> I did not have the OEM cable and Samsung refused to send me one said it was tmobiles responsibility. I have hooked it up to a Vista 32 bit system and nothing. Also when I hook it too the usb it only shows charging no usb notification on the screen. I seem to remember reading it should have a usb symbol on the upper right corner? I have also already set the system setting to usb mass storage.

Nexus 7 2012 when connected to Win 7 pc is not recognized in explorer so can't transfer files between the two except when N7 is in camera mode.
I've read countless posts saying to update usb drivers. I have the latest installed now from Google. I had so much trouble getting adb & fastboot to work that I'm leery about messing with my usb drivers.

So all of a sudden my phone will not connect to any computer regardless of what usb cord I use. I get a message that pops up in windows that says "USB Device Not Recognized" yet my phone is charging. I've wiped multiple times and reflashed my rom and still no luck. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the USB drivers but it didnt do anything. I really need to be able transfer a ton of files to my sd card from my computer.

I am using Micromax mobile (Canvas 2 ) for the last 7 months. But for the last 15 days am unable to connect my mobile on my laptop. When i try to connect it it says "The last USB device you connected to this computer malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize it"... Am really stuck with this issue for the for 20 days .

Yesterday, i installed the Cyanocream rom in my GY, i did not like and i uninstalled, i back for the stock rom with the CWM Backup, my phone says it is charging when it is desconect from the charger and i have problems with the USB conection, the phone does not recognize the USB, on the pc shows: "USB Device Not Recognized" i have the samsung drivers installed in my pc, i want conect the phone USB to restore it with the CWM

I've tried different cables including its own cable. Yes, I've installed drivers. Yes, I tried enabling and disabling USB debugging. Yes, I tried cleaning the USB port, both on the computer and the device. Yes, I've connected the device to multiple computers. Yes, I've power cycled both the device and the computer.
No, it didn't work.

Has anyone else had issues getting windows to recognize the drivers for their phone? I'm in the process of rooting my phone and I can't get fastboot to work with my phone. When I look under device manager on my laptop it says the drivers aren't recognized. I've tried windows vista 64 bit and windows xp 32 bit.

When I first got my Samsung Galaxy S 8GB I downloaded the Kies software and everything seemed to work O.K, I was even able to sync some of my music from my pc. I stored them on the phones internal memory and they worked fine, I haven't yet got around to buying a micro sd-card,besides why do I need to buy a card to increase the memory when the phones memory is practically empty. Now, a few days later when I connected to my pc, the Kies software launched but doesn't recognise the phone like it did before. It is not recognised in the Windows device manager list, I have uninstalled and re-installed Kies 3 times, all to no result. I noticed at the bottom of the download site it said it only supported Windows 7 32 bit, could that be the reason why it does not work properly?, if it is, why did it work O.K in the beginning?. Also when I try to use the music player it just tells me I do not have a sd-card installed, when it worked perfectly well last week.

Is there an app that will let me run window shortcuts/commands from an android device? For example, here is what I'm trying to accomplish:
1. I have 3 monitors but due to limitation in my video card, only 2 monitors can be shown at a given time.
2. I want to easily switch between them using the phone instead of from the PC.
3. If you have windows 7 you know that to switch displays you can press the windows+P keys and then toggle between 4 different display options. I created shortcuts for this since I only need one of the display options, not all 4. So I just have to double click and it'll quickly switch, cool.
4. So now I just need a way to be able to run that shortcut away from my PC.

I am trying to add my motorola milestone device into PC and debug in the device. When i put the usb cable, the device opens in data storage mode and opens the folder. But when i do a "adb devices" i dont see any device. i did the usb_driver fresh installation guide, but it returned "windows could not find a better driver than currently installed" I havd pointed to sdpath/usb_driver what's wrong and how to resolve this?

Is it possible to have a TCP/IP access to Windows 7 PC from Android device (create a LAN between them) using just direct connection via USB cable, without wifi or bluetooth? I already have it working using wifi, but I am also interested in just USB cable way.
I do _not_ need to use PC's internet connection, I only want to access the PC itself. I want to access HTTP/FTP/SSH servers on the PC and its samba (Windows Network) shares via Android CifsManager app.
Is this possible using "reverse tethering" solution which is used to access PC's internet connectivity on Android device and uses some 3rd party app? Is there a simpler solution without using 3rd party apps? Is this possible somehow via adb?
My Android device uses Android 4.0.3 and is rooted. My Windows version is Windows 7 64-bit.

my screen from my old phone broke, and i want to get the appdata from that phone to my new phone.
with Wondershare MobileTrans i could copy all the apps and stuff, but not the data from the apps.

I have a bunch of MP3s on a windows PC shared over wifi LAN.
I want to use a old android device to plug into speakers in another room and access the shared files, search/filter and queue, play songs on the phone.
I know I could run a shoutcast server and just queue up songs on the pc but I would love to be able to use some sort of app that can scan all the shares and create a database that can be easily filtered/searched on the phone.

I am attempting to pull an image from an unknown android device. I am running into a few issues:
When I attempt to pull the image by using the command in ADB : dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk1 of =/sdcard/boot.img I get the error write Error: File too large.
This happens when getting to the 4.0 GB mark, (assuming this is an issue with FAT32)
Is there an adb command to do a rom dump directly to my PC? Is there an application?

I've had no really problem and i had the phone since it was brought out..on TMobile in the uk. A couple of months a go i connected the phone to my pc to up load some pics and the windows message came up saying"USB Device Not Recognized".I couldn't get it to connect for weeks, then out of the blue it did.A week ago i got an system update (2.1, if not how do i do this??)through the phone and not it won't connect again?

Have just downloaded the new windows 7 sync for my hero and installed. Pluged phone into usb and nothing, all i get is a windows message saying device drivers could not be installed properley, then usb device not recognized. Have uninstalled and reinstalled software and that hasnt helped. Also when i do plug phone into the usb, absolutely nothing happens on my hero. Please help as i have been waiting ages for the windows 7 sync software to come out as i couldnt get my head round the old work around, and want to start getting the full benifits from my hero.

That's the error win 7 gives me when I plug in my Hero (cdma, not sprint, running zen-EXP-0.9.6.2 update 2) it won't let me do anything with the phone via the computer. I've tried changing sd cards to no avail, tried changing roms, but the phone wouldn't finish booting with any other rom that I have, (or even a reinstall of the currently used rom) I don't have any previous nandroid backups. (I swear I made them! but they weren't found!) I'm at a loss as to what even happened here unless it was a malicious program.

When I connect my Desire with a USB cable, the PC says "Device not recognised", and the phone keeps searching for a while untill it says it cannot find HTC Sync. No contact is possible, also not as diskdrive. What I have tried to solve this; Downloaded latest version of HTC Sync, gave it a fresh install (firewall and internet connection turned off), rebooted PC, rebooted phone, but to no avail. Also I checked the USB ports in Device manager, and at one port (the one with the Desire connected), it says "unknown device". It looks like no drivers are installed.
I also tried copying the drivers manually to the win32 directory, but this did not help. All this I repeated several times, browsed the web for hours and hours, made a handfull of calls to the friendly people at HTC, but neither of these solved the issue. To complicate matters; the first couple of days Syncing just worked fine, the two weeks after that not anymore. On some occasions, after a complete new installation-session, the device connected once, but not anymore after that. Since the calendar has become the center pillar of my existence, I am on the verge of becoming hugely frustrated. Hoping the truth is out there, and somebody of you guys knows about it..

Where I can get the device driver for the Ampe A10 10.1" tablet.
Windows 7 x64 detects a device called "Android" when you connect the tablet and says no driver found.
The tablet does not appear on the device chooser in the eclipse development environment.

when I connect my Sony Xperia T to my home computer, the ADB driver will be installed properly. When I connect the same phone to my work computer, Windows just doesn't want to accept the drivers. The following things are equal:
- USB debugging is always on on the phone
- Both computer are running Windows 7 64bit
- On both computers I am pointing the Windows driver installation at the same folder with drivers downloaded from Sony.
The thing that is different is the device ID that Windows reports in the Details dialogue from Device manager:
On the home PC it is:
USBVID_0FCE&PID_5182&REV_0228&MI_01
USBVID_0FCE&PID_5182&MI_01
On the other PC where things go wrong it is:
USBVID_0FCE&PID_5182&REV_0228
USBVID_0FCE&PID_5182
So it seems Windows is not recognizing the phone as a composite device (MI is it multiplexing identifier?). I double checked that USB debugging is always on and also rebooted Windows.

Ive hooked my phone up to my pc so many times without error when I had Windows on my PC...and used ODIN to flash back to stock after a mishap.... I cant even count.. within last two weeks Ive moved to ubuntu instead of windows..I set up everything on my phone on ubuntu..sdk and everything...so Ive been building a rom for the fassy and i was testing something I made and something went wrong..so I now have no recovery..no way to get my phone back..Im up and running on the rom but it will not due ( no gaaps ) . So when i plug my phone into a windows pc it will not recognize it for ODIN...in device manager it labelled as " Linux file-cd gadget USB device" and cant install the driver to use ODIN.
