General :: Galaxy Y - USB Device Not Recognized

Yesterday, i installed the Cyanocream rom in my GY, i did not like and i uninstalled, i back for the stock rom with the CWM Backup, my phone says it is charging when it is desconect from the charger and i have problems with the USB conection, the phone does not recognize the USB, on the pc shows: "USB Device Not Recognized" i have the samsung drivers installed in my pc, i want conect the phone USB to restore it with the CWM

So all of a sudden my phone will not connect to any computer regardless of what usb cord I use. I get a message that pops up in windows that says "USB Device Not Recognized" yet my phone is charging. I've wiped multiple times and reflashed my rom and still no luck. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the USB drivers but it didnt do anything. I really need to be able transfer a ton of files to my sd card from my computer.

I am using Micromax mobile (Canvas 2 ) for the last 7 months. But for the last 15 days am unable to connect my mobile on my laptop. When i try to connect it it says "The last USB device you connected to this computer malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize it"... Am really stuck with this issue for the for 20 days .

I have windows update turned on. I tried checking this on another USB port, but same doesnt get recognised. I even tried it on different PC, it gets perfectly recognised there.
I checked Samsung Galaxy s2, galaxy ACE, desire C, but none of them could get connected. In the device manager it shows an error "THE DEVICE CANNOT START (code 10)"
I even tried using ANdroid SDK drivers & also the SAmsung drivers on their site. But it coudnt start. Windows update also coudn't find a suitable driver for it.

I've tried different cables including its own cable. Yes, I've installed drivers. Yes, I tried enabling and disabling USB debugging. Yes, I tried cleaning the USB port, both on the computer and the device. Yes, I've connected the device to multiple computers. Yes, I've power cycled both the device and the computer.
No, it didn't work.

So I have a Samsung Vibrant (just got it recently) and I'm having problems when i connect it to the computer. It gives me an USB device not recognized on my windows 8 computer. I have spent all morning searching and reinstalling drivers and trying my old pc and new cables and i found out that my old windows 7 computer with 4GB of ram and an overloaded hard drive will detect my device the problem there is it not my main computer and i don't want to have to connect all the vga cables boot it up connect mouse and ets to use this computer just to be able to copy files, and do other things from my computer to my phone I don't know why my main computer dell inspiron windows 8 will not work when it was a couple of days ago when i had a problem with connectivity and had to flash back to stock but now it wont connect.

installing kies
installing adb again
aoi tool and then drivers
a bunch of different drivers found on the forums
different usb cable

When i plug my phone into my mac at work, the computer doesn't recognize the phone and the phone doesn't recognize that it's been plugged into a computer. it starts charging but no alert about being plugged in by usb, and i can't gain access to options like choosing ptp or mtp. on the mac, android file transfer just says "no device found" as if nothing were plugged in.

I upgraded to Windows 7 on an older laptop. I plug my phone in and it doesn't recognize anything. I thought win 7 would pickup the driver automatically but I guess not. I tried rebooting the laptop and phone
do I need a driver? Android adb or sdk is it?

I've had no really problem and i had the phone since it was brought out..on TMobile in the uk. A couple of months a go i connected the phone to my pc to up load some pics and the windows message came up saying"USB Device Not Recognized".I couldn't get it to connect for weeks, then out of the blue it did.A week ago i got an system update (2.1, if not how do i do this??)through the phone and not it won't connect again?

Have just downloaded the new windows 7 sync for my hero and installed. Pluged phone into usb and nothing, all i get is a windows message saying device drivers could not be installed properley, then usb device not recognized. Have uninstalled and reinstalled software and that hasnt helped. Also when i do plug phone into the usb, absolutely nothing happens on my hero. Please help as i have been waiting ages for the windows 7 sync software to come out as i couldnt get my head round the old work around, and want to start getting the full benifits from my hero.

That's the error win 7 gives me when I plug in my Hero (cdma, not sprint, running zen-EXP-0.9.6.2 update 2) it won't let me do anything with the phone via the computer. I've tried changing sd cards to no avail, tried changing roms, but the phone wouldn't finish booting with any other rom that I have, (or even a reinstall of the currently used rom) I don't have any previous nandroid backups. (I swear I made them! but they weren't found!) I'm at a loss as to what even happened here unless it was a malicious program.

When I connect my Desire with a USB cable, the PC says "Device not recognised", and the phone keeps searching for a while untill it says it cannot find HTC Sync. No contact is possible, also not as diskdrive. What I have tried to solve this; Downloaded latest version of HTC Sync, gave it a fresh install (firewall and internet connection turned off), rebooted PC, rebooted phone, but to no avail. Also I checked the USB ports in Device manager, and at one port (the one with the Desire connected), it says "unknown device". It looks like no drivers are installed.
I also tried copying the drivers manually to the win32 directory, but this did not help. All this I repeated several times, browsed the web for hours and hours, made a handfull of calls to the friendly people at HTC, but neither of these solved the issue. To complicate matters; the first couple of days Syncing just worked fine, the two weeks after that not anymore. On some occasions, after a complete new installation-session, the device connected once, but not anymore after that. Since the calendar has become the center pillar of my existence, I am on the verge of becoming hugely frustrated. Hoping the truth is out there, and somebody of you guys knows about it..

I am trying to add my motorola milestone device into PC and debug in the device. When i put the usb cable, the device opens in data storage mode and opens the folder. But when i do a "adb devices" i dont see any device. i did the usb_driver fresh installation guide, but it returned "windows could not find a better driver than currently installed" I havd pointed to sdpath/usb_driver what's wrong and how to resolve this?

How much I love my new refurbished Incredible. The wonderful dust under the screen due to crappy reassembly, and the oh so amazing USB Errors. Seriously, any suggestions why it won't connect to my computer? I wanna bust out my 32 gig SD.

I want to root my Samsung Moment so that I can put Live Wallpapers on it and such, but every time I go to DL mode my computer says "USB Device Not Recognized" I have tried with and without USB Debugging on, install uninstall Drivers, going to REGEDIT to erase SAMSUNG drivers, formatting my phone, two different USB cables, three machines, and yet IT-STILL-WONT-WORK. The mounting and unmounting of the sd card, I read up and Ordered a class 6 verbatum card. But the big Issue is my windows will not recognize the behold 2. When I hook it up it tells me usb device not recognized then inside it says Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43) Port_#0006.Hub_#0005. I have tried to install the usb drives I found on this site but it will not allow them to install. I have gone in and deleted My upper and lower system file in the registry.
I have bought a new cable < universal> I did not have the OEM cable and Samsung refused to send me one said it was tmobiles responsibility. I have hooked it up to a Vista 32 bit system and nothing. Also when I hook it too the usb it only shows charging no usb notification on the screen. I seem to remember reading it should have a usb symbol on the upper right corner? I have also already set the system setting to usb mass storage.

So I tried to update my phone from home a few days ago. It didn't work. I got to the Volume Down+Camera+End step and plugged in the USB and it said "USB device not recognized." Something like that. I tried for about an hour, restarting PC, toggling USB debugging, and turning off the phone. After that, I got fed up and deleted the update software from my desktop and told my mom to take me to Sprint next weekend.

My Samsung s3 phone says usb device connected not recognized when i connect to any PC even though other phones similar to mine does connect. i have tried many tricks from different sources but it still doesn't work. when i connect it in the custom mode by starting the phone with pressing Home/power and volume buttons it is recognized and says device ready to use but the moment i swict the phone in normal mode it goes back to not recognized.

My Galaxy S doesn't recognise my MP3 files, although they are listed and in order in the player. When I click play, a message comes up and say's "This file does not exist". I connected my phone to the PC and clicked on a file and it works okay.

I just bought my new galaxy s yesterday and I installed all the software correctly but everytime I connect my phone and computer up via usb the screen on my galaxy keeps changing between home, idle and the usb screen. The program also never regonises that the phone is plugged in. Not sure if this is a program problem or its something wrong with the phone?

When I first got my Samsung Galaxy S 8GB I downloaded the Kies software and everything seemed to work O.K, I was even able to sync some of my music from my pc. I stored them on the phones internal memory and they worked fine, I haven't yet got around to buying a micro sd-card,besides why do I need to buy a card to increase the memory when the phones memory is practically empty. Now, a few days later when I connected to my pc, the Kies software launched but doesn't recognise the phone like it did before. It is not recognised in the Windows device manager list, I have uninstalled and re-installed Kies 3 times, all to no result. I noticed at the bottom of the download site it said it only supported Windows 7 32 bit, could that be the reason why it does not work properly?, if it is, why did it work O.K in the beginning?. Also when I try to use the music player it just tells me I do not have a sd-card installed, when it worked perfectly well last week.

I am new to the galaxy s and although I only just got it I luv it to bits. Just a quick Q when I plug the usb cable into my macbook it doesn't pop up on my desktop so I can open the phone and load all my movies and images and music on to it. It has 8GB of internal memory but no sd card, do I need an sd card before my macbook will recognize it?

I have samsung galaxy nexus with android 4.2.1 .. I install Kies driver in windows 7 (on my laptop) , but my computer cannot recognize my phone. the phone is charged and when the phone plug in to my computer, sometimes the phone shows the message of USB Debugging connected and connected as a media device in top of screen and shows the pic of these but after a second again this message remove. My computer cannot shows my phone like a usb and i can't go to my sd card of my phone via my computer.
in some days later, my computer can recognize my phone but when i install Intellij , my computer can not recognize phone. I unistall kies and again i install this but when the install complete my computer shows a picture like this
My phone recognize in a mili second and afer unrecognized! my problem is for my cable phone?

I tried to load Cyanogenmod on my galaxy nexus. unfortunately I had copied one of the nightly update files instead of a stable version. so the install did'nt work and I did a factory reset from recovery mode. Now the computer doesn't even recognize my phone any more, when I connect it via USB. and my phone is stuck on the google screen when I try to turn it on.

getting Device Manager working on my new Galaxy S5. If I recall, Device Manager looks at GPS position first. If that is turned off, it rolls to WiFi. If that is off, it rolls to Cell communications. It worked well on my old Galaxy S2, even when GPS was off, it still found the phone within a certain range.
With my Galaxy S5, it doesn't seem to work when GPS is turned of. WiFi or Cell signal will not allow device manager to find the phone.
