Here's my situation. I have 5 tablets and all being Acer A200's. One of them works fine, but the other four are stuck on the acer logo.
There is NO support for these tablets anymore, no honeycomb roms available to download, etc.
Is there any way that I can basically copy the whole rom/bootloader that's on the working A200, and put it on all the other tablets?

i have a chinese tablet (Teclast P98HD A2Q6) with some very good specs it has 4.1.1 but it's laggy there's another tablet called (PIPO M6) with the same processor and display & it has 4.2.2 with the latest SDK for the chip.can i upgrade my tablet with PIPO's firmware ?

I just got the v711s tablet directly from china and I tried to flash it with a new firmware but I didn't took the good one. Now the touch screen doesn't work and I'm unable to reflash it to an other firmware.Also the boot manager is not responsive so no chance on this side (also I don't have volume button on the tablet).
What should be my next step? Is a hard reset via SD card available ? Is there a way to get boot manager working ?

I have a Nexus 7 tablet and every few days I notice a few new apps on the device. I'm not sure if they're full apps or just simply icons to download apps or get more information. I have tried to avoid using them. I know previously I had a couple apps that were sending notifications to the notification system that I considered to be spam. After some research I found out how you can find out which apps are doing it and disable notifications from those apps so that took care of that.

Is there any keyboard with a button that can turn auto-complete on/off when pressed? Or perhaps a home screen shortcut that can do this?
I can't even make a custom shortcut to the language & keyboard, and doing it manually takes too long.
My brother root his HTC Sensation, install CWM Recovery, and load CM10 nightly build.
When we tried letting the initial boot run its course, the device got caught in a boot loop. And today I only made matters worse, I had my brother wipe the whole thing to where the phone won't even mount as a USB device, it just tries to install drivers and fails when you connect it. However, while in recovery, fast boot commands work. Anyways, I'm trying to figure out how to restore the phone to stock and I just can't get it to work.

I have a Samsung Galaxy Note II, running Cyanogenmod in an early version of Kit Kat (4.4).
My internal SD card is a little odd as in that it has an emulated SD partition inside of it (though I'm not totally sure if it's inner workings). This happened after I first installed Cyanogenmod. What do I need to have ready before the reset? (I want to install the carbon Rom on my phone).

Is there a way that I can create a complete image of a motorola xoom and a complete image of a motorola xoom 2 and then copy that image to another device of the same type? We have about 40 of each kind and when I have to reinstall I have to go to each of the 4 fastboot processes in order to rebuild each device when someone messes up on of them. The Xooms are not rooted and are not assigned to any service providers. MZ604 and MZ607. I was thinking along the lines of when I would create an image of a computer and image another computer. If this is not possible how could I just copy all the apps from one device to another device of the same kind. I know a little about fastboot and RSD lite.

Complete backup mean somthing like the ftf files for Flashtool. a backup from kernel, rom and personal data's in one way with one file or folder that i can restore later. View 4 Replies View RelatedI currently have a i9001 using Android 2.3.3 with baseband version I9001XXKF8 and am planning to flash with the newer I9001XXKQ1 version since there is no official 2.3.6 update for my region.
My current firmware I use has the South African CSC files(I9001OJCKF3) but the newer firmware uses the German CSC(I9001DBTKP1). My phone is not sim-locked.
If I flash to the newer firmware would that 'brick' the device? If I backup my current CSC files from /root/system/csc would I be able to restore these onto the newer firmware? If so would replacing these require factory reset or any such thing?

I have a problem for a few days. The story is that I installed Custom ROM and it stop asking for unlock code when I insert a new carrier sim card. Somebody told me to restore to Stock Firmware. I used "KDS Firmware Update" to push Stock Firmware from my PC but when the phone restart to install Stock Firmware, Custom Recovery Mode appear instead of Stock Recovery Mode. As the result, it failed to install.
I'm looking for a way to restore Stock Recovery Mode but I found nothing. Now, how to do it or give me the Stock Recovery Image zip for my LG Optimus G E973.

I found out that I needed something called Kies, so I downloaded it and followed the instructions - hooked up the phone after checking debugging, etc, but I got an error that said I don't have authorization or something. I'm definitely a newbie with Android. Today, I looked online for overclocking my LG Optimus F3, and I found this thread "[MS659][F3] Freedom Kernel Overclocked" (I'm a newbie xda won't let me post links yet). It said you could achieve a 1.4 GHz overclock (my device has a 1.2 GHz processor). So, dummy me, I got all excited and flashed the MS65910c firmware to my phone like the thread said I needed to have (I didn't know that that would switch my service providers as I had Virgin Mobile). So, I'm a little confused still... Can I still have Virgin Mobile service with MetroPCS firmware? If not, I want to restore my device back to Virgin Mobile firmware (LS720ZV6). The problem is, I am also a little confused with the flashing firmware thing. Can I flash .zip files instead of .kdz files (I couldn't find LS720ZV6 .kdz firmware files on the web)?

View 4 Replies View RelatedMy phone(Samsung Galaxy GT-B5510 (Galaxy Y Pro/Galaxy TXT)) was totally bricked, I couldn't turn wifi on, nothing worked.After I searched some forums I found how to un-brick it by loading the original firmware.
I live in Belgium, and I couldn't find a firmware with the Belgian CSC("PRO"), so I used a Netherlandish-one.Everything went fine and I can use my phone again, everything works, except that the AZERTY-keyboard functions as a QWERTY-one(the default for Netherlands).
Anyways, my phone works fine without a SIM-card. Whenever I try to boot my phone with a SIM inserted, it gets stuck in a bootloop, showing the Samsung-image for about 15 seconds and then rebooting and so on.
So after I thought a bit, I figured out the problem must be that I'm not using a Belgian CSC (my SIM is from Belgium too).
I tried restoring my phone with Samsung Kies, but whenever I click Start upgrade, I get a Chinese error.
However, I have found the location where Kies downloaded the firmware, and the firmware is with a PRO-csc(the one I need), it's located in
C:Users{me}AppDataTempBinaryGT-B5510.
So I tried flashing this Kies-firmware with ODIN, but the problem is that the Kies-firmware has no extension(no .tar.md5 or whatever), so I can't import it with ODIN.What do I do?
