I wish to know if there is any mod or hack to improve the whiteness or brightness of the pictures taken by HTC cam ( HTC EXPLORER) in particular..
Images under low or moderate light come out quite dark..and white balance settings in HTC explorer camera app are just a few preset like daylight cloudy incandescent..
I have a Galaxy S3 that I got a couple months ago, love it but there's just this one problem. The headphones that I was using at the time that I got it were a little damaged so the left side was quieter than the other. I used the accessibility option to shift the sound balance to the left so that it would be balanced. A little bit after the most recent update (4.3?) rolled out I happened to purchase new headphones so I went to switch the sound balance back, but to my surprise there was no longer the "sound balance" option in the accessibility menu. It seems like the settings for the sound balance managed to stay how they were but the actual option to change them disappeared. This makes it extremely hard to listen to music in headphones and when I plug my phone into car speakers it's much louder on the left side of the car.
I know that Poweramp and Rocket Player both have sound balance options, but I often use apps like Songza, Google Play Music, and Soundcloud so buying the full version of Poweramp wouldn't cut it. No equalizers gave me the sound balance options I needed either.
If I absolutely have to I guess I could do a factory reset of my phone, but that's the last thing I want to do as it would be a huge hassle to transfer all the music/pictures/apps back onto the phone.

Can I set default notification time & type (email vs pop-up) from within this app across all calendars, individual calendars, or not at all? If I open Google Calendar on a PC, I know how to set default notifications on a per calendar basis, but cannot figure out how to do it within this Calendar app.

On my computer, all my Google calendar appointments from tomorrow on have the correct time and my calendar time zone is set to Arizona. On my device, everything tomorrow onward has been shifted ahead one hour, as if DST should be affecting my appointments.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI live in the central time zone. This morning I woke up and my phone decided to adjust for daylight savings time by 2 hours instead of 1. I checked the time and date settings to find that the date settings were checked to "automatic". Somehow the phone decided I was in the Mountain time zone instead of central. why/how that would happen? If I uncheck the automatic, and manually change my time zone it works fine.

I'm the new owner of an X10 and I'm, so far ;-), really happy about it. I still have an issue that prevent me to throw away my old Palm agenda. I have a Google Calendar that is synchronised to both my Palm and now mu X10. I notice a strange "one hour shift" issue with my X10: every appointment after the Daylight Saving Time is shifted from one hour on the X10. I figure that this is related to the way the X10 handle the daylight saving: the automatic setting for the time zone is GMT+02:00:HMG+2:00 whereas Google calendar says correctly that Paris is on the GMt+01:00 with a one hour shift due to summer time. Is there a way to fix this issue that prevent me from using the agenda?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am Cooking ROM based on 4.0.4... There is Data and Time in Settings... it is set by Default to 12 Hour Fomrat. You have to check the 24 Hr Time Format to enable it.
My Problem is that there is a bug in my ROM with status bar which isnt accepting 12 hr Time. Status bar Force Closes non Stop until I go to Settings>Date & Time and change it to 24 Hr format.
Being ROM Cooker I dont want my users to see the first screen to appear as "SystemUI has Closed" after Flashing Fresh ROM...
The only solution I have to prevent is to set the time to 24 Hr by default. i.e enable Check ON like some other options in Settings which are checked by default..
I saw everyhere in Settings.apk but there is no place I could change it..
in res/xml I saw a file date_time_prefs.xml.. it has code below

I found a Pokemon Game that I wanted to play and learned that I can play it on my Droid X2. So I got Gameboid and created a folder that has BIOs and the Game I downloaded. Whenever I try to open the .gba game Gameboid just closes little bit after I click it. It is the right BIOs file and the Pokemon game is a custom/hacked game.

View 3 Replies View RelatedTill some days ago, I was using mojo gba lite for playing my favorite games from Gameboy Advance (.gba format)...but after I updated my samsung galaxy fit s5670, running 2.2, to the official gingerbread update 2.3.4, the app stopped loading my .gba files...I just get a black screen, though with the onscreen controls still visible (but not usable), and my phones menu button also didn't produce any response from the app...after which the app just closes...
I tried other gba emulators, but none have worked so far on my phone (with 2.3.4)...
I have a Galaxy S2 and i have the problem that every time y hit the home button it keeps asking for my default launcher i searched and it seems that it isn't a Galaxy S2 problem because a lot of models have it.
I clear dalvik and cache partition and fix permissions and it was fix.
I'm having some boot delay in my Galaxy Ace. It runs 2.3.4 gingerbread and takes 1 minute to boot up ! When i bought it, it was very fast indeed, arround 20~40 seconds to boot.
My boot starts with the Samsung words, then an android animation comes, it ends, then something writed Google in the screen and bellow it has the loading circle, the same when you're waiting a video on YouTube.
I can do something to speed it up ?

And it seems like a really good option to me. But I have also found a few other methods searchinging around on the xda forums that seem promising for my phone as well. But I am a noob and would like to get some opinions on what would suit me best. All I want is the option to do some debloating right now.

I am leaning towards the first one as it seems pretty safe and the how to vids in it seem very simple. I have the files and keys set to go on my laptop.
I noticed in the thread in the first link on the list of phones that root method has been successful for it does not list the SGH-i747m but it does list the SGH-i747. I read in a thread somewhere recently where people were saying a root that works for one of those should work for both.
