I bought a Samsung galaxy Ace Advance Gt-S6800
I have tried everything possible to root this device but running into a brick wall..
I tried most root.zip versions and the universal v25 but nothing is working..
I always get operation aborted.
I cant find this device on XDA either. its a fairly new phone and was released about 2months ago..
I want to root it and maybe upgrade from gingerbread 2.3.6 which is the default android version.. to ICS if possible..

I've got a Samsung Galaxy S Advance which was from China. Its stock widgets and apps all support Chinese stuff like Weibo and are useless to me since I live in UK. I can't get Google Store / Android Market either - these aren't on the phone.
It's I9070, running 2.3.6. I downloaded 2.3.6 online and used Odin 1.38 a few times but it always went "FAIL!" on me.
how to get it to run like an european galaxy S?

When i connected USB data cable mobile with pc...my mobile network working fine....
suppose i try to unplug my mobile USB data cable...my mobile network is gone....

Is it possible to install SG A rom on Ace 2 ? They are really similar like defy and defy plus (some people install defy+ roms on defy with red lens) It will be good idea (of course if it will work ) because Advance processor clock is set 1000mhz (ace "overclock" don't work well, only changes clock value display).

I've tried all the methods I could find including Motochopper,SRS root, Oneclick root, Framaroot,etc. to no avail
I even tried flashing SuperSU through Stock Recovery ( Yes! I was that desperate)
There are no custom kernels or CWM for my device.

I originally rooted my S4 using the ODIN3 v3.07 and CF-Auto-Root-jflte-jfltexx-gti9505.tar.md5 method.
I then unrooted, using the settings to fully unroot in SuperSU app, to try and get an official update (which obviously didn't work).
I can't seem to re-root using the same method, probably because ODIN flash is still on my phone.

First question is if i need to root my device before installing a 4.2.2 rom. Currently i have 4.1.2 JB, but it's from factory and i haven't got the update from official soft. I don't care why i haven't, but i want it to be done. I've read thousands of forums about rooting, installing roms and etc, but i still have some questions.
Second one is: If i finally manage to do that update to 4.2.2, what rom should i go to from there on? Stay at 4.2.2 or go further? I need a stable one, i'm not really a andoid geek, but sounds fun to get into it.
Which rom should i trust to install? First of all, i know that if i want to install a newer one, i still need to go from a 4.2.2 so i'm stuck at it for now. I haven't ever done a root or installed a rom.
