When I try to USSD (checking my balance etc.) it shows MMI code canceled.
I did Upgrade my firmware 2.2.2 into 2.3.4 but it wasn't solve.

Actually I am checking the code flow of NFC in Android-ICS.But i got stuck because of some files are not present in ICS.
Like :
GB code -> WriteTagActivity (to write into a TAG)
ICS code -> no files.
Some more files are also missing in NFC and TAG.
I wish to know if there is any mod or hack to improve the whiteness or brightness of the pictures taken by HTC cam ( HTC EXPLORER) in particular..
Images under low or moderate light come out quite dark..and white balance settings in HTC explorer camera app are just a few preset like daylight cloudy incandescent..
I has a galaxy 4 like 2 month with my micro sd of san disk 16gb class 4 it work perfect for me and I decide to purchase a 64gb from ebay I bought a samsung card 64gb class 10..and now start the problem.
I insert the card to phone and it ask me to format it..I did it and after format I see in available free storage is 0.0 I take it out and format in comuter to fat32 ensure that is writeable and put it my phone I can see the card and I can see what have in it but when I try to move/copy some thing to the card from phone its give me a pop up message "the move/copy canceled"
So I take it out and put on my tablet and its work perfectly.
I have a Galaxy S3 that I got a couple months ago, love it but there's just this one problem. The headphones that I was using at the time that I got it were a little damaged so the left side was quieter than the other. I used the accessibility option to shift the sound balance to the left so that it would be balanced. A little bit after the most recent update (4.3?) rolled out I happened to purchase new headphones so I went to switch the sound balance back, but to my surprise there was no longer the "sound balance" option in the accessibility menu. It seems like the settings for the sound balance managed to stay how they were but the actual option to change them disappeared. This makes it extremely hard to listen to music in headphones and when I plug my phone into car speakers it's much louder on the left side of the car.
I know that Poweramp and Rocket Player both have sound balance options, but I often use apps like Songza, Google Play Music, and Soundcloud so buying the full version of Poweramp wouldn't cut it. No equalizers gave me the sound balance options I needed either.
If I absolutely have to I guess I could do a factory reset of my phone, but that's the last thing I want to do as it would be a huge hassle to transfer all the music/pictures/apps back onto the phone.
Are there any music players that have a simple balance control (Fade between right and left)?
I have a little hearing loss I'm one ear and have found all sorts of fancy controls on players, but none with this simple one. Or am I just looking in the wrong places?
every time I set the whitebalance to daylight its gone and goes to auto mode when I relaunch camera everytime how to set the default white balance to daylight every time in my galaxy s advance.

I finally managed to get my phone rooted and onto 2.2 a while ago, but today I went to use the camera (don't use it that often)and noticed the colour balance was really messed up, it made everything really red. I assume this is a 2.2 issue.

I set a repeating alarm that starts a service but I have noticed that if I use some task manager (e.g. TasKiller) to kill my app then the polling will not be performed from that moment on. I know this because I store the time of the last poll, I have also checked the server logs and there are no requests received from the client after I force close my app. Is this the way alarms work or should I look somewhere else for a crash or smth? because if alarms really get canceled then how should we implement the polling?
I'm also interested in what happens with a running service if it gets killed from another app (I assume all task managers are using ActivityManager.restartPackage() to kill other apps), does it get restarted?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've experienced the following problems in 2.1 and had hoped that it would be rectified in 2.2. FYI I'm using a UK unbranded SIM free SGS and the stock alarm with the smart alarm feature turned on. When I set the alarm for the morning and then cancel it later on (e.g. I wake up naturally an hour before the alarm) I find that despite canceling it the alarm still goes off at the initially set time.
First of all, I was simply unchecking the green alarm symbol in the "clock" application. Then as this was failing to cancel it, I would long press the set alarm time until the option delete would appear and completely deleting the time altogether, yet the alarm still goes off. I have also noticed in 2.2 that the alarm date does not seem to be as intuitive as it was before. Previously I recall setting the alarm the night before by scrolling the time forward past midnight to the morning and the day would follow suit.
However, a couple of time that I have used the alarm the alarm has tried to enable itself for the same day as being set. However, as the clock is being scrolled forward this would often show as time to alarm 6+ days and hours. Don't recall seeing that on 2.1? Finally, is there a dedicated place where more smart alarms can be downloaded and incorporated into the smart alarm feature? I know of Zedge, White Noise and others but most are not true smart alarm sounds. Often just screen shots or clips of noises, which do not segway nicely into the start of the alarm loop when the track has completed.

I just had some questions on setting it up correctly. On the main page, you have the two scroll bars (I have both set to 710 and haven't had any problems) , under that is the Scaling option, What exactly does that do, and how should it be set for the balance between performance and battery life?
Follow up question, under profiles, is there any recommended profiles I should set up? Currently I have Screen off: 528/528 on demand with priority 50 (not sure what all of this means though). Are there any others that should be established?

We Know our options but were wondering if there was a way for you to get rid of your primary Gmail without having to data factory reset. He wants to not lose all of his Apps and all that. View 7 Replies View RelatedI have two BroadcastReceiver registered. When the app is closed they both fire at the appropriate times and do the appropriate things. If the app is closed then killed (say with an AppKiller), the receivers never receive their broadcasts, and nothing happens. Presumably the same thing happens if the parent app is killed due to low memory, so how do I ensure those broadcasts are fired/received. The API states that even if the app is killed it should fire, does anyone else have experience with this situation? If it helps my manifest is:

Over the past week, the display on my DInc has been slowly tinting toward a redish/pink hue. It appears the greys are turning pink. Anybody having this problem with their device? Is there a setting to work out the color balance anywhere?

I installed the Missed Reminder app on my phone this weekend but I've read around here that this is a big battery drain program. By navigating to the Battery usage section within the Android settings, the Missed Reminder app doesn't even show up. Does this mean the app is NOT draining, or am I looking in the wrong area?

I have this part working great via a Broadcast Receiver but I need some way to turn the LED off when the user has read the message(s) using their default SMS app. I'm not sure if it is best to do this in the receiver or in a background service.
