I recently bought a Samsung Galaxy S Advance (I9070), upgraded it to Jelly Bean, and rooted it.
Now, I notice there is no indicator light?
Is this a software glitch I have introduced, or is it true...

View 8 Replies View RelatedI've got a Samsung Galaxy S Advance which was from China. Its stock widgets and apps all support Chinese stuff like Weibo and are useless to me since I live in UK. I can't get Google Store / Android Market either - these aren't on the phone.
It's I9070, running 2.3.6. I downloaded 2.3.6 online and used Odin 1.38 a few times but it always went "FAIL!" on me.

I bought a Samsung galaxy Ace Advance Gt-S6800
I have tried everything possible to root this device but running into a brick wall..
I tried most root.zip versions and the universal v25 but nothing is working..
I always get operation aborted.
I cant find this device on XDA either. its a fairly new phone and was released about 2months ago..
I want to root it and maybe upgrade from gingerbread 2.3.6 which is the default android version.. to ICS if possible..

When i connected USB data cable mobile with pc...my mobile network working fine....
suppose i try to unplug my mobile USB data cable...my mobile network is gone....

Is it just me, or does the phone have LED indicator lights directly to the left of the ear speaker? You have to look pretty hard, but I believe those are LED lights. If they aren't lights, what the hell are they?

View 13 Replies View RelatedLED indicator not showing up on your Note 2? Even after doing the *#0*# test only to find out your LED is in fact working, just not showing notifications? Then perhaps you may have Blocking Mode enabled. Now, I never marked this box and only assume that it came on either after a re-boot or updates, but I re-booted and saw it still in my notification bar, clicked on it and saw LED Indicator was set to off. I marked the box (or just disable blocking if that's your choice), and that solved my problem. I knew LED was fine because my phone is new and the light was showing up when I was re-booting, just not staying on. Now if it is not listed in your Notifications because it's not turned fully off and maybe only 1 setting is marked, it can be found in: Settings, Devices; underneath Home Screen Mode.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just got a samsung galaxy proclaim. All i want is an app that can make the 4 soft touch buttons on the bottom of the phone be light up whenever the screen is lit up. The phone is for my dad, who cant see the best, and he can never see the buttons when they are not lit. I am very tech inclined and have rooted my thunderbolt and modded the hell out of it and flashed roms all the time last year. I really can not find anything out there app wise, and there is not other option other than holding your finger over the light sensor on the front of the phone.
The phone is not rooted, but i could root it if that is necessary. would rather not as i see it presenting new possibilities for problems for a VERY beginner user just learning what texting means.
Got a UK purchased unlocked Galaxy S, which I'm using in mainland China on China Mobile with a China Mobile SIM. On the screen the roaming R indicator is on, by the signal strength. And going into the about the phone options does indeed indicate that it is roaming internationally, when in fact it's not, because of the China Mobile SIM working on that network. When I was using the phone in Hong Kong, I was using a 3 Hong Kong SIM and the Galaxy didn't indicate it was roaming at all. It did however show the R roaming indicator when I entered mainland China, Where the 3 HK SIM was working on the mainland Chinese networks, both China Mobile and China Unicom. It should not be showing roaming R though when it's using a China Mobile SIM on it's own network though, but it is. I've also tried the SIM in another phone, and this does not show it's roaming at all. Only when the SIM is in the Galaxy? The phone does dire warnings about incurring large data bills for data roaming, when it's not in fact data roaming.

I know it lights up and makes a sound when a new message comes, but afterwards there is no way to find out without pressing the middle button or the side unlock button.
I am so used to having a blinking LED message indicator in my previous nokia, I think it�s a really nice feature, because you can know just by looking at the phone without even touching it, very handy at night or when your phone is out of reach. I�m really going to miss that feature.
Is there a way to have the phone still display notifications using the LED when he phone is charging? As it stands, charging the phone keeps the light solid.

I know flashes on camera phones aren't all that great, but they do help in many situations. I read in a couple places that this phone has a night mode negating the need for the flash. So far I have not been able to find any sample photos taken in low light conditions, say a portrait of friends in a dark restaurant, or at a party. Can those of you who have the phone post some sample shots in these conditions?

Many of the Samsung Galaxy S phones come with a beautiful array of soft keys with LEDs that are dieing to be used as notification lights as well. For example, the T-Mobile Samsung Vibrant has 4 soft keys (menu, home, back, search). I would like to be able to set the menu key to light up at an interval of 3 seconds within the first hour of receiving a text message and light up at an interval of 5 seconds or more after the first hour of receiving a text message. Has Samsung released the necessary API? Or does Google have control over this?
