Sprint HTC Hero :: Want To Send Picture To Multiple Contacts At Once?
Dec 22, 2009Have any of you have success sending a picture to multiple contacts at once? I use Handcent Sms for my texts. I tried once and it didn't send anything. All I saw was the little green icon to the right of the text loading and loading like it was trying to send it. I tried to send a pic to 3 people at once. I canceled the picture and tried to individually send the picture and it wouldn't do it. I had kill the app and turn my Hero off and turn it back on in order for it to work.

Jan 27, 2010I'm having problems uploading a ringer from my computer to my phone. I sent the ringer using funformobile.com just like all my other phones(storm, instinct, etc.). It downloads the ringer but I can't access it. When I try to open it after I send it it says "no app can be found to open the file". What am I doing wrong???

Feb 2, 2010my phone is rooted and i have fresh 1.1 everything was working just fine yesterday i was tethered to my netbook and just now was tryng to tether again when an error messege appeared and computer said unrecognized device connected. great i can even mount sd card says its mounted but not showing up as a removable drive this sux oh i still have htc sync installed on comp too

Aug 2, 2010I recently lost the charger and cable that came with the phone, and bought another one, but the actual connector is slightly different. When I plug my phone into my computer, I don't get anything, either on the phone or on the computer, except that the phone does start charging. I get no "start USB service" or whatever option in the phone and the phone does not show up as a drive. Nothing, nada, zilch, zero. I'm guessing it's the cable, but I'd like to confirm before going out and buying another cable.

May 30, 2010When I computer either a) the drive doesn't show in my computer or b) the drive shows up for a minute but then crashes with no warning. I know its "slower charge" because the computer also allows data transfer and mounting of the sd card, but maybe theres a possible way to shut that off? Also, would a double USB port cord that are used for external hard drives improve charge time at all? Two normal sized USB coming from computer to the miniUSB port on hero.

Dec 20, 2009Is anyone having issues with HTC Sync and the phone not being able to find it on the computer? I've used it before, but today it doesn't want to find it on my computer. I uninstalled sync from the computer, and reinstalled it, even tried a hard reset on my phone, still no go.
Any ideas? Or am I just an idiot and doing something wrong?

Nov 14, 2010Prior to switching ROMs back and forth, I was able to nandroid off of my phone with no issue. Now, I cannot and at first I found it slightly alarming, but then I brushed it off. However, I feel like something might be wrong with my phone? Help?
Also, recently (as in today). My phone has been sending messages to other people, randomly. I got a phone call from my mother but it popped up as a totally different number.

Jul 29, 2010This is hard to explain, and I've searched (probably badly) and can't find the answer.If I hit the "phone" button on my cdma hero, it pulls up a list of people that have called or been called recently. Let's say one of those is in my contact list (my wife, for example), and she has multiple numbers (work, cell, etc.).I know i can click the little card on the left side, but it would be great to be able to swipe side to side on her to switch numbers, but that doesn't seem to work.You would think it would b/c there are little arrows beside the number for people that I have multiple numbers on.Is there any way to do this?

May 19, 2010I am trying to backup my contacts so I can update to 2.1. Currently, the contacts on my phone are split between Phone (people who I call) and Google (people who I email). My google contacts are really messy and disorganized because it is every single person I email. Currently, I have my phone only showing the phone contacts I had synced from my computer. But in order to export the contacts now, it seems I have to export them all together. When I sync it back after I update, they will probably not be split between phone and google. Is there any way to show only contacts that have a number assoicated with them so my phonebook isn't that messy?

So I was wondering if there was some way I can backup my contacts FROM the phone, directly onto gmail, or a contacts file. I start saving them to phone instead of Google when giving the option, thinking i could just sync whenever i upgraded ROMS. I was wrong i lost some contacts, restoring older ROMS.
