I am trying to find out how to get the perfect sized wallpaper for my nexus 7. No matter what size I download, I always get the cross cropping tool android supplies.I know to manipulate images, but how do I find out what the exact resolution I need for my nexus 7.

My phone is running stock 4.2.1 and I am using the latest version of Dashclock from Google Play.
When I log into my phone using my PIN, the next time the Dashclock lock screen shows the widgets as small tiles beside the time, whereas I want them as big tiles.
The first screen is what it keeps defaulting to, even if I set it to the middle screen in the image below
To make them big, I drag down to expand the area, however, once I put in the PIN, the next time they are all small again.
I'm redoing my home screen, and I want to have a few text icons that take me directly to specific home screens. Apex launcher has action shortcuts for this, but they are only 1x1. I cannot use widgets to get these actions... I have to use shortcuts. I have done what I want with 1x1 shortcuts, but they are just too small for my taste. I really want 2x1 shortcuts. I have not been able to figure out how to make them with either Simple Text or Desktop Visualizer.

View 1 Replies View RelatedOn my Nexus One, certain live wallpapers that I've downloaded will work right up until the first time I use my task killer, at which point all tasks plus the live wallpaper are killed and I'm back to the default wallpaper. Oddly, other downloaded wallpapers do not have this problem.Has anyone else had this problem and is there a fix for it?

Even if I put a photo on my phone at the right resolution for the screen, it makes me crop it to fit the phone for home screen scrolling. Sometimes I like that, but sometimes I just want the apps/widgets to pull over without the picture moving.

My first N1 (T-Mobile purchased day one) developed a tiny dead pixel after about a week of use. I returned it to HTC and the replacement I got didnt have any but about a week after I got it, a dead pixel appeared on it. The phone was stolen so I never called HTC. I just bought an ATT N1 and again it's perfect to start. I know nothing about how electronics work but I wonder if:
-Could a specific live wallpaper cause this? I used the Grass one on both previous models.
-Could the dock cause this? When you place it in dock the screen dims and you get that floating clock. I wonder if extended stay on the dock could be the cause?
Or like I said maybe just not the best quality parts.
Received the new update on my Nexus 7 (first generation) and seem to have an issue with wallpaper changing after powering down.....when repower up wallpaper changes.....is there a setting that needs to be reset to keep the wallpaper that I have selected and not change everytime power on and off ?

But when I go to the lockscreen wallpaper in settings, it only allows me to choose a few OEM wallpapers. View 4 Replies View RelatedI actually was loving Launcher Pro on my Droid, but after I got my DX yesterday and installed it, I got really frustrated with it all last night. It took away the ability to resize the widgets....something I was really excited about. I also couldn't tell that I could any longer set up pictures of my contacts for direct dial or just as a contact and see the options once I touch the picture. So I bought the full blown version and I'm still not convinced. I want to resize my widgets. Since the Moto Blur (or whatever you want to call it) actually is customizable somewhat, and has the phone and contact pictures at the bottom of all screens, plus gives you the option to choose which screen to go to, I decided to go with that for a while. Since I own LP now, I may go back. I just got really frustrated. Anybody know when and if LP will allow the widgets to be re-sized?

- Form Fitting so as not to add bulk, but thick enough to provide some protection in case it's dropped. Also thin enough so that it will fit in any desktop charger/cradle that comes out.
- No high ridges (Especially on front like on the Body Glove) so that it doesnt block access to Optical Joystick, Volume Rocker, Power Button and USB Port.
- One piece - So if/when it's dropped the phone doesnt explode into a yard sale and it stays protected.
- Protection for Camera (Flush)
- Carry over styling on stock back cover (doesnt matter to me but may to some)
- Material - enough grip so that it wont slip out of your hand or off your shoulder but not too much so that you can't get it out/into your jeans.
- Color selection (but black is fine)
Please post your camera setting for the evo and why you use it so we can get the Perfect Camera settings.My pictures seem to be a bit bland and dark so I increased brightness and saturation. Pictures tend to be a bit too sharp so I lowered it and iso just seems to make my pictures clearer. I dont know much about iso

Whenever I try to text a picture there is a message that comes up saying the file is too large and it automatically resizes the picture to postage stamp size. Is there an easy way to modify that functionality to allow me to send a more usefully sized picture.
