On my Nexus One, certain live wallpapers that I've downloaded will work right up until the first time I use my task killer, at which point all tasks plus the live wallpaper are killed and I'm back to the default wallpaper. Oddly, other downloaded wallpapers do not have this problem.Has anyone else had this problem and is there a fix for it?

So i have bugles beast v8 on my droid and when im running livewallpaper and end tasks it kills my livewallpaper... I know I could just unchecked it everytime but I have a widget for it and that's just a hassle and defeats the purpose...anyone know how to stop this? Also does anyone know where to download that random generated smoke livewallpaper I've seen before? Or is that only for a certain ROM?? What is 'smoked glass'?
View 2 Replies View RelatedAnyway, I just wanted for everyone to post their favorite Task Manager/Killer, and why, and if there are any flaws. I personally use Advanced Task Killer Free. It has a simple UI, and the when you select or unselect apps it remebers it so next time you launch the app you can only remove the apps that you usually do, and keep ones that always run. It doesn't slow down or break the system.

Every time I have it kill my tasks it takes me to the HTC screen (the one that appears during start-up) and then "please wait" appears with my wallpaper in the background. It does still kill the tasks however it has never done this before and it seems abnormal. Ive heard that task managers can be bad for your phone?
View 10 Replies View RelatedI noticed on a lot of the other threads: "If you hold down 'home' you can see your running apps, so you don't need a task killer, just to exit the apps properly" However, on my Nexus I hold down 'home' and it just shows me the last 6 apps I've used. Is there a different way of doing this for the Nexus. or am I stuck with having to get a Task Killer/Manager?

My first N1 (T-Mobile purchased day one) developed a tiny dead pixel after about a week of use. I returned it to HTC and the replacement I got didnt have any but about a week after I got it, a dead pixel appeared on it. The phone was stolen so I never called HTC. I just bought an ATT N1 and again it's perfect to start. I know nothing about how electronics work but I wonder if:
-Could a specific live wallpaper cause this? I used the Grass one on both previous models.
-Could the dock cause this? When you place it in dock the screen dims and you get that floating clock. I wonder if extended stay on the dock could be the cause?
Or like I said maybe just not the best quality parts.
As stated in the title, would it be possible for someone to turn the nexus one bootup animation or even the Droid boot up animation into a live wallpaper?

Some apps like HTC sense and the built in messanger app I would love having them killed instantly, is there one that i can get? Before you say, yes the Eris DOES need a task killer. Asked any eris user, once it gets below 30 MB of ram, it slows down to a near halt. They majority of thos for me is processes that load without me telling them too, and ons that I never use, such as htc sense or the default messager apps. I'm rooted btw.

Looking for a guide on how to use task killer. I had task killer on and deleted it. I think I was killing tasks that were needed to keep certain functions running that I use frequently. If someone would take the time to help me understand how to use one, I think I would be much more successful with it.
example - text messaging just stopped ( werrent receiving them ) . Once I took task killer off, everything started working again.

I get up this morning and what do I find for battery usage?

i downloaded taskiller and when I kill all running programs it resets my scenes and my phone resets.anyone know a better task killer app? Also programs show up that I never opened. Can anyone help?

I have the CPU oc'd to roughly 1.76ghz with smooth results. my question is... are task killers, any to speak of, safe for ICS? I realise that a solid killer is built in but...always curious. all comments welcome and NICE to have ALL features working on my Inspire 4G with an ICS 4.0.3 ROM.
