General :: SD Card Unexpectedly Removed Or Damaged
Mar 26, 2013I used Lenovo A789(ICS 4.0.4) android. I have Scandisk 32 GB memory cards. Some the mobiles give up a popup message "SD card unexpectedly removed or SD card damaged" .
Sometimes my mobile taker restart with that message when "SD card unexpectedly removed or SD card damaged" message is shown I am unable to use SD memory's apps.

Nov 9, 2013Keep getting error message "SD card unexpectedly removed" the card is still in the phone at this time. Went to Verizon today they inserted a new SD card for me, by the time I got home which was about 5 mins the error message was back. When i go into settings under storage, it tells me to insert a SD card, problem is the card is already in the phone. When i turn the phone off and then restart it is fine for several mins the the error message pops up and i cannot use the SD cardNot sure where to go from here?????? phone is Droid razr x HD

May 7, 2013I recently bought an S4 and all was well until I decided to start using the phone to listen to music. Whenever I listen to music on the phone after a minute or two I get a message saying "SD Card removed unexpectedly". This message continues to display until I restart the phone or physically remove the SD Card and re insert. The SD Card is 64GB so it shouldn't be a compatibility issue.

Nov 28, 2012I have a Sumvision Cyclone Voyager Tablet with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and I a problem when a micro-sd (Kingstom 16Gb class 10) card on the slot, when the screen turns off (going sleep) by itself and after 5 seconds it comes back on with a msg that the micro-sd was removed.
If I remove the micro-sd it works OK.
I already tested with another micro-sd 2Gb class 4 and I got the same problem (I have this SD card working on my phone for more than one year without a problem).

So in order to install it the OP wrote in the instructions to factory restore the phone which I did. When I cleared the cache and everything and went to install it TWRP said it failed so I just erased it. Then when I went to reboot it was stuck on the screen with the red writing so I rebooted it in Recovery and it said there was no OS installed. I looked for this problem online and found that if I mounted the phone to my computer I could copy and paste a new ROM for my phone which I eventually tried to do but for some reason it does not allow me to check off either of the boxes next to "Mount SD Card" or "Mount Internal." It does let me mark all the other boxes. what I should do so the computer recognizes the phone as a "Removable Disk" like it used to so I can just drag and drop a new OS into my phone and put this thing behind me already?

May 27, 2013I have Huawei u8600 sonic rooted and with Cyanogen 9 ROM for this phone. Everything is working fine, but I noticed that sometimes my phone just doesn't find SD card. After reboot it works fine again for a while, but after an hour or two it happens again. There is no message about SD card being removed or something, it just disappears. I have most of my apps moved to SD card, so this really annoys me, because without SD card I can't use most of my phone's programs.

Sep 10, 2010I have the phone for about 2 weeks now, with 3-4 hours daily use. In the middle of a call this morning, it went silent and when turned on again, it displayed "SIM card removed. Reboot phone". I took the card out and put back in 3 times, but it still happens. Wi-Fi is working, phone is still running apps. I tried to press the SIM card tightly while trying to connect, but it's no good. A quick Google search does not show many people with this problem. Aug 27, 2010Well the problem is I have the pre-installed SD card and for some reason, it is now saying that "the SD card is unmounted or removed" but its not. When I go into settings I have the option to Unmount it, so why is it saying that. If I restart the phone, the SD card works for about 2 minutes then tells me that its Unmounted again, which it is not. when I try to take a picture the phone tells me this AGAIN!
I cannot save any files, access music, pictures, or video. I can access the files when it is plugged into the computer, but when i try to add something to the SD card from the computer, it doesn't go on the phone. Is my Card corrupt? Do I format it? Help?
If this helps, this didn't happened until i upgraded my Droid to Froyo.

Jul 26, 2012I accidentally (sure!) removed all permissions on a folder in / so now the system can't even read it to display it in root explorer. I've searched pretty hard and tried chmod and a couple other ideas in the terminal but nothing so far has worked.

Aug 24, 2013I have a problem with my android phone. During the holidays I added my mothers and girlfriends gmail-account to my android phone (android 4.0) so they could check their email at wifi points. Afterwards (about a week ago now) I removed their accounts again. So, there is no trace from their accounts left on my phone. However, I just noticed that when they go to the play store on a pc, they can still install apps! Even though they are not logged in to my phone! I tried it, and indeed, my phone started downloading the app.
Googling how to stop this did not turn up anything useful, How do I disable their ability to install apps? I even added the accounts again to the phone, made sure all syncing was off, removed them (with all syncing off), and it still worked!
