I am getting a Removed SD Card notification. It says to "Insert a new one".THe card is installed. When I go to Settings/SD Card, the Unmount SD Card and Format SD Card are grayed out. I can't access any pics or music as it says no Media Card. What is going on and how do I get the phone to recognize the SD Card?

Well the problem is I have the pre-installed SD card and for some reason, it is now saying that "the SD card is unmounted or removed" but its not. When I go into settings I have the option to Unmount it, so why is it saying that. If I restart the phone, the SD card works for about 2 minutes then tells me that its Unmounted again, which it is not. when I try to take a picture the phone tells me this AGAIN!
I cannot save any files, access music, pictures, or video. I can access the files when it is plugged into the computer, but when i try to add something to the SD card from the computer, it doesn't go on the phone. Is my Card corrupt? Do I format it? Help?
If this helps, this didn't happened until i upgraded my Droid to Froyo.
Keep getting error message "SD card unexpectedly removed" the card is still in the phone at this time. Went to Verizon today they inserted a new SD card for me, by the time I got home which was about 5 mins the error message was back. When i go into settings under storage, it tells me to insert a SD card, problem is the card is already in the phone. When i turn the phone off and then restart it is fine for several mins the the error message pops up and i cannot use the SD cardNot sure where to go from here?????? phone is Droid razr x HD

I rebooted to the same ROM and Kernel, and I recieved the same message. I just Rebooted to Clockwork in order to flash to a nandroid backup that I had, but there were no backups there..... and when I went to choose a zip file and there werent any there... what should I do??
View 5 Replies View RelatedI actually like the default ringer type sound that comes standard as the SD card mounting sound.I'd like for it to be my ringer.I actually got it to work once using tone picker app but it wasn't perfect and had some quirks when using it.What I'd like to do is find the actual file and make a copy of it in my ringer folder(I have root access).But I looked high and low and cannot find where that default sound is on my droid.Anyone know?

The "droid" audio that i had is gone and i see no way to enable it.Any one expierence this or have a fix? In 2.1 there was a sd mount option in the sound settings but that seems to be gone now.

Sometimes my mobile taker restart with that message when "SD card unexpectedly removed or SD card damaged" message is shown I am unable to use SD memory's apps.
Has anyone else made a playlist within the music player? Whenever I try to remove a song using "Remove from Playlist", it will remove it from the list until I reboot the phone. Which will then reappear in the list.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI have the phone for about 2 weeks now, with 3-4 hours daily use. In the middle of a call this morning, it went silent and when turned on again, it displayed "SIM card removed. Reboot phone". I took the card out and put back in 3 times, but it still happens. Wi-Fi is working, phone is still running apps. I tried to press the SIM card tightly while trying to connect, but it's no good. A quick Google search does not show many people with this problem. Anyone has a quick solution before I call ATT or Samsung?

At first empty ad card was working hood then when I used up a few gb and re inserted the sd card the problem began After 5-10 seconds of mounting sd it goes out and phone shows that sd is removed unexpectedly, sometimes my phone hangs in this cycle and reboots(starts again from bootanimation part) This sd works fine with other things like my Sony cybershot w-x50

I just installed a 2.2 (fresh, factory reset). However, I cannot seem to get the volume below vibrate. Was silent mode removed?

I recently bought an S4 and all was well until I decided to start using the phone to listen to music. Whenever I listen to music on the phone after a minute or two I get a message saying "SD Card removed unexpectedly". This message continues to display until I restart the phone or physically remove the SD Card and re insert. The SD Card is 64GB so it shouldn't be a compatibility issue.

View 11 Replies View RelatedI have a Sumvision Cyclone Voyager Tablet with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and I a problem when a micro-sd (Kingstom 16Gb class 10) card on the slot, when the screen turns off (going sleep) by itself and after 5 seconds it comes back on with a msg that the micro-sd was removed.
If I remove the micro-sd it works OK.
I already tested with another micro-sd 2Gb class 4 and I got the same problem (I have this SD card working on my phone for more than one year without a problem).

So can I factory reset to go to stock after I installed bootstrapper and removed bloat after rooting? The issue is that the wall charger is not working while the usb charging works. I think it may have something to do with something I removed.

View 4 Replies View RelatedYesterday afternoon, the notification bar stated my SD card was damaged. This was out of the clear blue, no errors?nothing missing from the widgets. I tried using the file manager on the phone and it would open some folders, but not all of them. I popped the card out and inserted into the adapter card to read on my laptop. Windows 7 said that it was not responding after trying to read the card 3 times. On the fourth time I was able to right click and pull up the properties and tools. I performed a scanerror check. It found and fixed the 3 problems. The .data, download and Camera folders were corrupted.
What does that mean?.Well, the download folder included images I had downloaded and uploaded to my phone. So I just had to gather the images again. The Camera folder is a mystery. Images were stored in another folder (DCIM)?this had nothing in it and was added after the OTA. The biggest pain was the third folder; the .data file contained all the animation for Beautiful Widgets. I had to uninstall & reinstall BW home?along with all the animation which was a separate download once you add the BW Home to your screen. BW installed fine, however the animation won?t download?it sits @ 0/100%. I have even tried turning on the Wi-Fi with no successful of a download. With all the other quirks since the OTA, I may just keep BW uninstalled. I don?t use any of the other widgets?.and now with full screen weather animation?I may not go back.
So I recently got a set of screen protectors and put one on.All was well just noticed a few bubbles and so I tried to work them out.They weren't going away, so I figured I would try again so I removed it and to my astonishment the bubbles were still there. It's like they formed under the screen somehow when I put the protector on, they were absolutely not there before.There are 2 in the center of the screen and a few along the edges. At first I just thought it was a water spot but I cannot wipe them off.The ones on the edge of the screen I can"push out" to the edge to almost make them disappear.When you touch them with the pads of your fingers you can feel a slight "bump" in the screen (very minute but still there).They bubbles are easily visible when the screen is off and almost go away when the screen is on but you can still tell they are there.Is this a defect in the phone or did I cause this trying to install the protector? I didn't push down hard on the screen, just applied the protector and they appeared.
View 2 Replies View Relatedtoday I put my sd card into my sd card reader to throw some photos on to my computer. After I was done i put the sd card back into my droid and booted it up. After booting I get a notification saying my SD card is blank, so I turn off the phone and pull the battery out. When I grabbed my SD card it burnt my hand "literally" it was that hot... Wtf?!?! I put the SD card back in the reader and the computer doesnt even see the card. Idk if anyone has heard of a similar problem b4 and knows a fix...Thanks in advance! Side Note; I work at a cell phone repair store, so I put the sd card in two other blackberry's and they say "your sd card needs to be formated or it is corrupt". I put other sd cards into my phone and i have no problems.

I've always been a Nokia fan but S60 is falling just too far behind for me in 2009. I sold my Nokia E71 and bought a Malaysian Hero (they're not available in NZ) and flashed a rooted generic firmware onto it. Very happy with the phone overall.I have a question though, I'm getting a sim card notification on the top bar thing and a blank notification entry in the pull down list. Clicking it doesn't do anything. The manual doesn't say what this means and I've found another person on XDA-Developers with the same thing. They are with the same carrier as me, Vodafone NZ.
