I put in folders apps in the home screen pages but after i turn of my player the apps deleted from homescreens is there a way to keep the apps in the home screen pages even if i turn of my device?or an app that make the apps return like they were before i turn off my device?

I find that too often when I'm trying to scroll within a widget the system thinks I am trying to move it. So my question is how can I lock the home screen in the since that widgets can be moved/removed?

View 2 Replies View RelatedA few days ago my Sony Xperia T (running Jelly Bean 4.2.1) started having a problem - when I select any app to open on my homescreen they are completely unresponsive, the touch registers on the screen but all of them refuse to open. I've tried pretty much everything I can think of to fix the problem, first I turned the device on and off for a punt, which didnt work. Then I went through all my apps to make sure there was nothing out of the ordinary on my device and as far I can tell there isnt. I next installed a task manager app to kill all processes, again this did nothing. I then installed a virus scanner to scan all the files on my phone but nothing was found. I then decided to clear all of the devices files by restoring it, this fixed the problem for about 10 minutes before the problem returned. I then re-installed Jelly Bean 4.2.1 on my device, which again fixed the problem only temporarily. when using the device to do anything else the touch screen is completely responsive, so I have no clue why all my apps just refuse to open.

When I install new app - shortcut doesn't appear on my homescreen. I remember long time ago (I think that was in ICS stock launcher) - shortcuts would appear. But not anymore.
Automatically add widgets checkbox is checked in the Play Store Settings.
I even reinstalled fully Nova. No success.
Are there any apps available which can preserve home screen layouts for a Galaxy S4 which uses the Atom launcher.
The reason why I ask is that I may need to do a clean wipe and I don't want to have to waste nearly half an hour or so recreating the folders which store the apps that I want to be on each home screen every time I do a clean wipe to install a new Version of echoeROM.
I have a problem with my android phone. During the holidays I added my mothers and girlfriends gmail-account to my android phone (android 4.0) so they could check their email at wifi points. Afterwards (about a week ago now) I removed their accounts again. So, there is no trace from their accounts left on my phone. However, I just noticed that when they go to the play store on a pc, they can still install apps! Even though they are not logged in to my phone! I tried it, and indeed, my phone started downloading the app.
Googling how to stop this did not turn up anything useful, How do I disable their ability to install apps? I even added the accounts again to the phone, made sure all syncing was off, removed them (with all syncing off), and it still worked!
With all the custom roms that are floating around, I thought I might check a few out. Now I have nandroid and backed up before I rooted my Hero, but what does it actually backup? I mean will I have to go back and install all apps and home screen set ups etc?
View 7 Replies View RelatedSo I recently got a set of screen protectors and put one on.All was well just noticed a few bubbles and so I tried to work them out.They weren't going away, so I figured I would try again so I removed it and to my astonishment the bubbles were still there. It's like they formed under the screen somehow when I put the protector on, they were absolutely not there before.There are 2 in the center of the screen and a few along the edges. At first I just thought it was a water spot but I cannot wipe them off.The ones on the edge of the screen I can"push out" to the edge to almost make them disappear.When you touch them with the pads of your fingers you can feel a slight "bump" in the screen (very minute but still there).They bubbles are easily visible when the screen is off and almost go away when the screen is on but you can still tell they are there.Is this a defect in the phone or did I cause this trying to install the protector? I didn't push down hard on the screen, just applied the protector and they appeared.
View 2 Replies View RelatedSo last night I went to change my battery and when the phone booted back up, a lot of programs were not installed anymore and I was getting about 3 other programs that were force closing right away when it came on.I tried to reinstall the apps, but I was still getting some force closes and general funny stuff going on.So I factory reset it and started from scratch again today. I got most of my apps reinstalled and thought it was fine. Then just a little while ago, I noticed that I couldn't browse the Internet or use the market. I rebooted and it was fine.A little while later I went to use my phone to make a call and when I unlocked it, all my home screens were blank! Reboot again and that fixed it.

View 3 Replies View RelatedThis is hard to explain, but all the videos i show for the droid x shows that when you finger scroll through screen left to right and you get that little thing that pops up on the bottom where you can tap the dots to take you to certain home screens.in that same video i see that the phone arrow for apps and contacts icons move out of site while the dots pop up. until you let go then the navigation dots dissapear and the phone arrow for all apps and contacts icons slide back up.The same thing for deleting an app, when i see someone in the droid x video tap and hold and drag down to bottom to delete the phone, contacts and all apps moves out of the way.

This happens fairly frequently actually, but I'll be in an app (any app - it's not really particular) and sometimes it'll just randomly shut me out of it and return to the home screen. As it does this, the home button blinks and vibrates incessantly until I hold down on it - at which point it brings up a sort of mini-list of six apps (the last six apps I've opened, I suppose). Once I clear out of that list, then the phone resumes working normally.
I initially thought it had something to do with the memory and running too many apps at once, so I downloaded Advance Task Killer and run that occasionally...only to find the same problem occurring, sometimes RIGHT after I kill all the apps.
Has anyone else had this happen? Can anyone help me out?

View 3 Replies View RelatedChecking out media players, I downloaded Zimly and Mixzing (thanks suze!) to compare. Both installed instantly but only Zimly appeared as an icon on the home screen. When I go to Settings>Applications>Manage applications they are both listed as installed, however I need to have Mixzing drop its icon for me to be able to use it from reviews etc I actually think that's the one I'll be keeping anyway, a clear case of sod's Law that of the two that one would be the one with a problem! I have uninstalled and reinstalled twice, same result.

My application was removed from the android market together with Blocks, Cubik, Net Tetris, Netblocks and Tetroid (6 apps in total) under claim that it violates the DMCA and more specifically trademarks and copyrighted material owned by the Tetris Company. However, none of the trademarks or copyrighted material (music, graphics and sound effects) are present in my game. Sound effects and music were created by me specifically for the game. There is no reference to the word tetris in the game. Additionally, all the game code, graphics and sound effects were created by me and published on the code site http://code.google.com/p/monolithandroid
Additionally, I am not aware of a software patent covering the game mechanics of Tetris, so I cannot see how I could violate something that is not protected by a software patent. Also, even if the game was protected by a patent, the patent would have expired, since the original game, Tetris, was created 23 years ago. However game mechanics cannot be covered by patents.
I would also like to point out that my game is available completely free of charge to every user of the android market.
I wrote those concerns to Google and I sent an email to the EFF. The bottom line is that for my application to be restored on the android market, I have to send a DMCA counter-notification. And then the Tetris Company can sue and take the case to Court.
When games were pulled from the iPhone App store, they blamed apple, but it is not hard to see that behind application removals we can find companies like the Tetris Company, that demand application removals claiming copyright infringement and trademarks. However, it is not easy to battle these companies as individual developers. I, for example, am a Greek citizen living in Greece, so it is difficult for me to file a counter-notification, because then the Tetris company will probably sue me and I will have to defend my case in court. Why should I bother? Am I making money out of the game? No! But even if I did you can see how easy it is for corporations to neutralize developers like that. I think that something should be done. Due to a audio issue VZ had me reset my X, a pain for sure. The phone worked but I couldn't figure out how to turn-off the irritated screen lock as it was before the reset. I think I've found the answer on the Moto website it says "

I bought Beautiful Widgets, installed them and removed them from my screen. I am deciding how I want my little Zio to look. And no, I am not upset at my little problem. I love and would recommend the program. However, this AM I noticed clouds floating across my email screen after the phone sat idle for an hour or so. I took a look at all running apps (Task Killer, sorry) and nothing seems to be running that would account for the animation. I asked Mr. Google about this and he is as clueless as I am.

How do I clear unwanted icons from home? Is it same procedure for deleting unwanted apps from the device?
I use rooted 4.3 Samsung S4. Some apps like MX player can play video when the screen is off. I want to play games of other video apps when the screen is off. For example:
1. I use Android to watch some CNN and bloomberg TV (not radio) that I want to play in the background with the screen off
2. I am playing some games which require the apps to be opened and the screen on to get some special stuff.
Swiping to close each app all the time is inefficient for me. I realize other people might not want this but I want whatever app I was using to completely close when I tap the home button. There is one app that puts an X on your homescreen that closes everything when clicked. That is a little better but I want to go one step further and have the home button do the same thing. Is there anything out there for that?
