Since the update, Twitter is now using the same sound as my SMS notifications - the phone default notification. I keep trying to set Twitter to use a different sound (within the application - Settings > Account > choose notification sound).

General :: SD Card File Removal?
Jan 26, 2014I had to get a new android and sprint gave me a Galaxy S2 in place of my Samsung Conquer,Well when sprint set up my new phone they just installed my SD card from the Conquer,Now when I go to my files, it shows SD card and EXT SD card, I want to remove the fines and the EXT SD card,all my files, folders, photos etc. are in the SD card folder, and work correctly,
I have already tried to delete it through the phone, and it won't let me delete the folder, and If I put it in my laptop only the SD card shows up with only part of my folders and files,How can I remove the EXT SD card Folder ?
HTC Incredible : Droid 2.2 Froyo OTA Update
Jul 12, 2010Droid incredible OTA update will be pushed on ???? to phones and to a lucky few before that date. My source says it will have the 720p as well as wifi hotspot, as well as the back end, speed, and battery life enhancements. They also mentioned that there would be some new htc widgets and better skype support.take it for what it is worth but i will try to get some visual evidence.if anyone is getting the ota on there phone please post a picture here!

Source says that It looks like this might only be a minor update and not full 2.2 from reports of people getting it already. We will have to wait and see to know for sure.

I am sorry to say that i have far less faith in my source after this blunder... now things may have come up such as a problem with the update or the fact that they are pushing out updates for the Droid x, droid Eris and the BB curve right now and the data load would be too much. What ever the case i thought that my source (who has been a very reliable one) would be right on but apparently something has come up. I'm sorry for getting everyone's hopes up but at least some good came of this.(leaked OTA) next time I will be a little more general with any dates that I put out.Verizon all but confirms Droid Incredible's getting Froyo soon | Android Central. So the latest rumor is that it will come out on the 18th of august.lets hope that this time it is true!
2.1 Update :: Linking Contacts With Their Facebook And Twitter On 2.1
Nov 26, 2010I just recently got my xperia x10 and had to almost immediately upgrade to the 2.1 system. I am noticing a few things that I'm not fussy about from the 1.6 system but the thing that is bugging me the most is that I cannot (figure out how to) link contacts in my phonebook to their facebook and twitter accounts. In 1.6, when you edited a contact it gave you the option to click LINK. I cannot find any of this on the new system. As well, for contacts that I had linked before, their facebook profile pic (current from the time when i linked them before upgrading to 2.1) shows up on their contact information (i usually only link facebook, as i dont use twitter as much) and their profile is linked. However when i go into EDIT, it says FACEBOOK, Timescape and a big exclamation mark that has a message beside it saying : Timescape Plug-In Manager contact information is not editable on this device. i SHOULD be able to edit and link all my contacts. that was the whole purpose of the xperia having this timescape program.

Jan 8, 2010even though I dont use this myself as we have the app on the Hero I decided to follow HTC (although I dont check all the time as its mostly U.S stuff) anyway I just took a look and it says that there is a software update on 3 and that was posted 36 mins ago.Gonna check the 3 site now and see what its about.

It supposedly finishes and after it reboots I get stuck @ the Motorola "M" screen indefinitely. After that it wouldn't start up @ all and wouldn't respond to anything. So now I'm attempting an SBF root. Is this the right thing to do?

Sep 14, 2010So I rooted my droid about 2 months ago. I have Bugless Beast V0.4 and I used SPRecovery. No joke, but as soon as I rooted, I got the official Froyo update from VZW. I clicked on install and it took me to recovery mode ( i think that's what it's called) and I just clicked on "reboot now" and my phone stayed rooted. Now I'm getting the Froyo update message about once a week (since then) and each time I just "reboot" the phone. Well today I got a text from VZW saying that my droid was sent the Android 2.2 update and to click for more info. What do I do and/or how do I stop the updates from coming? I love the way my droid is right now and do not want to change it.!

A few times now I've noticed that it fails to update from twitter - it simply doesn't get any new stuff. If I go in to peep that also doesn't update. if I start the twitter app they are all there.
Anyone else noticed this / found a solution ?
Last time it was out of a couple of days and then just started working again.

Aug 18, 2010A few days ago I woke up really excited to get my Froyo update. The first day I had it I had an error that kept occurring because of the htc keyboard I had previously been using. After restoring the keyboard to stock that problem went away, but the biggest problem of all took the forefront. I can't go more than 5 hours without needing to charge my phone. Before the update I usually charged my phone daily because I am a relatively heavy user. After the update, I am not using my phone any more than before. Today I charged my phone 3 times. Some people have said it is the facebook app, but I uninstalled the latest updates. I have noticed many of my programs are opening up in the background on their own.

Basically, they don't know if/when they will support Froyo. Qik vid doesn't do what I need it to do. Also, I hear there are many other apps that won't work with froyo. As good a an improvement Froyo is, it prevents me from doing what I do. Any way to prevent update and update reminders?

Sep 27, 2010I had read that the froyo update helped battery life. Granted I have only had the phone 3 days, I am not noticing great battery life. I have everything shut off that I should, and I have done a factory reset right after the froyo update.
