I got an update to Twitter version 5.2.2. I'm using a Sony Z1 Compact with Android version 4.3. Since the update, Twitter is now using the same sound as my SMS notifications - the phone default notification. I keep trying to set Twitter to use a different sound (within the application - Settings > Account > choose notification sound).

After the last phone update (Incredible) my email notification sound does not work anymore. Does anyone else have this issue? I have checked all settings and they are correct.

View 6 Replies View RelatedSince accepting the Gingerbread update, I have noticed that the Recent Calls feature of the Dialer now only shows timestamps in reference to the current time rather than the time the call occurred. Calls now show timestamps in the format of 1 hour ago or yesterday rather than displaying the actual time of the call.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've got a Galaxy S4. I've got Twitter set to notify me when certain people tweet in addition to the standard mention and direct message notifications. It seems like recently it's only showing the latest notification in the notifications drawer (pull-down). If I get a mention, for example, and don't dismiss it and then get a direct message a few moments later the mention in my notifications pull-down is replaced with the direct message.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm wondering if anybody else has experienced this issue. It doesn't happen all of the time, and I can't seem to reproduce it. It only started recently - within the last few days.
On some calls, after talking for a minute or so, the person on the other end will just not be able to hear me anymore. The call is still connected, and I can hear them just fine, but I end up having to disconnect and call them back due to the strange muting problem.
Anyone else experience this lately? I haven't installed any new apps recently - minus updates - so I'm not sure it's an app conflict. Just trying to pinpoint the issue and see if I'm the only one.
After the froyo update, I now have twitter on my phone...I really want this removed off of my phone, but can't delete it?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have an Epic 4g galaxy S, the text notification just stopped. I didn't make any changes to the phone it just stopped on it's own. It still vibrates but no sound. The phone still rings, so I know it's not a problem with the sound. Also I cannot retrieve my hotmail, I get an "unable to connect to server" message. To fix the problem I have tried to reboot, removed the sd card and reinstalled it and have checked my settings yet none of these fixes have worked
View 2 Replies View RelatedThere is some app( presumebly ) that is sounding my default notification sound at ( seemingly ) random intervals, however no app shows up in the notification center. How to track down what app, or what notification is doing this.
What could sound off without actually showing you the notification ... I mostly only have notifications on for Gmail, Voicemail, GoSms. I have several other apps installed ( Foursquare, Facebook, and maybe a couple others ) that are capable of notifications, but their all turned off ... and even if they were sounding, wouldn't you think I would see something in the notification center dropdown?
I was wondering if there is an app that can do that, turning off notification sound when the screen is on, for example when I have the screen on and I received a whatsapp message and I'm already in whatsapp app and I don't want it to sound because I see the notification.

Figuring it to be a good idea I went ahead and downloaded it. It wasn't until some hours later when I started using the phone sideways with the keyboard not out that I noticed the screen kept timing out. It continued to do it each time I used it this way. Has anyone else been experiencing this issue or is my phone just special? When will these bugs be fixed? I am starting to lose patients with the phone.

I have a rooted Sanyo Zio running Android 2.2, kernel 2.6.32.9-perf, on Ting's service (a recently opened Sprint affiliate). Every so often, particularly when in poor reception, I receive notifications along the lines of:
[triangular caution sign]
Error Code 2048:
Network Busy.
Please try again.
Error Code 3000: Server Busy is also common.
These don't bother me much, as Ting just came out of beta and is working on ironing problems out. However, these error codes are accompanied by an annoying chirp tone, which I want to disable. I've dug through the /system/media/audio folders looking for it, and can't find it. Where this particular notification sound is, so I can kill it?
My notification and alarm sound has stopped working however when I go to play music off my phone it still works.
I have gone into the Volume section under Sound and tried to mess with the volume levels. When I turn the alarm level up to the highest it can go, instead of playing my alarm sound it plays a very faint beeping noise. When I turn up my notification level it makes a similar beeping noise.
are there any apps that can notify me but dont need me to set a polling interval to check for new fb posts/twitter messages? bloo seems a bit too random as it doesnt always notify me on every notification and it seems a bit too slow compared to the official app which i like.

So who knows to get this app to play whatever ringtone you want?
I have an AT&T Samsung Galaxy SII. I updated to the stock ICS last week, and ever since the update, my text notifications and email notifications will periodically mute themselves. Screen still lights up, notification is still in the notification bar, but no sound.
I've changed the settings to ensure I have them correct several times. I did a master reset as well. Doing a hard reset will fix the issue temporarily, but it always goes back to not working.
I just recently got my xperia x10 and had to almost immediately upgrade to the 2.1 system. I am noticing a few things that I'm not fussy about from the 1.6 system but the thing that is bugging me the most is that I cannot (figure out how to) link contacts in my phonebook to their facebook and twitter accounts. In 1.6, when you edited a contact it gave you the option to click LINK. I cannot find any of this on the new system. As well, for contacts that I had linked before, their facebook profile pic (current from the time when i linked them before upgrading to 2.1) shows up on their contact information (i usually only link facebook, as i dont use twitter as much) and their profile is linked. However when i go into EDIT, it says FACEBOOK, Timescape and a big exclamation mark that has a message beside it saying : Timescape Plug-In Manager contact information is not editable on this device. i SHOULD be able to edit and link all my contacts. that was the whole purpose of the xperia having this timescape program.
