If both people had the same app and of course had android... Like where I could upload something and they could download it like a mms, or would I have to use cloud sharing? Also which is the best cloud sharing and easiest for both pc and phone? Skybox/Cloud whatever microsoft calls it, dropbox or? I'd like one where I could upload everything from a pc with no transfer/UPLOADING required, just drag ad drop.

I've transferred a few file by ftp from my machine (running linux debian) to the mobile. Everything seemed ok, except that after a while the file disappeared.
I've ftped to the mobile with nautilus. Do I need to "cleanly" close the ftp connection on nautilus to avoid this issue?
I have a samsung galaxy s4 and i need to get some files off it, saved photos, possibly contacts etc. however, i smashed the screen and digitiser pretty good so there is no touch recognition. the phone itself is recognised on my macbook however i stupidly made it to be recognised in photo capture not MTP. How to simply send all my data across directly from my phone to the laptop. I also dont have a spare samsung lying about for the motherboard switch.

Android file transfer won't recognise my HTC one running 4.3 when connected,I tried using it on Windows on the same Mac via boot camp and it works, it's just the Android file transfer which is not detecting the device it says "connect the device via the cable" well something like that.

These photos were crops from larger photos so, stupidly in hindsight, I did not preserve any of them. I would like to copy all my contacts, complete with photos, to another phone. Copying the simple contact info is easy via the Gmail export/import procedure, but that does not copy the attached photos. Is there a simple way of copying contacts complete with photos?

If I click on the Finder Button and look at the left side, my S3 isn't recognized or it isn't there so I cannot Eject it. I also use a mac, and I'm in Canada (so I can't take full advantage of the google music service, I.E. storing music in the cloud and managing it that way. In order to put music on my android phone i simply select the songs in my itunes and and drag them into the music folder in Android File Transfer. This works, however, there is one problem: the songs aren't organized into folders, which makes it extremely difficult to organize / delete music from my phone when I want to, as the songs are organized as 01 01 01 01 01 01 02 02 02 02 02 02 03 03 03 03 etc. I tried to right click the music folder and say new folder but it won't create that folder in the music folder. I tried moving the songs into that folder then dragging it into the music folder but that won't work.
I really don't want to use double twist, because I have in the past, and I don't really like it all that much. I just want my files to be organized into folders so that when I can delete them later when I want to.
I am considering changing my email address. Is it possible to easily transfer my contacts and paid apps from the play store?

This person could snap pictures with the mobile, and send them directly to me over MSN, and also send other files, like mp3s and such.As far as I know, Meebo and Ebuddy can't do this. They can't even recieve the files. Surely my $500 Desire must be able to do this somehow? Which IM apps are able to do this, while also storing logs?Would it really be that hard for Microsoft to do an android version of MSN, just like it works on a computer? I mean why storing logs on Meebo's server, when they could be stored on your SD ?

It was a choice between this and the HTC and as the 620 has a keyboard it wins (for me). so got a free 8gb SD HC card, which the phone sees and saves photos etc to. but if I connect the phone via USB to my laptop (Dell Mini 10, XP SP3) it sees the memory card but wont let me access it (says please insert disk). Thats if I have it in mass storage mode. If I turn mass storage off the PC doesnt see the card at all.

Google automatically created a group in my contacts file (url....) called "Circles." It contains everyone in my Google+ circles. Problem is that when I sync my contacts file on Android, it pulls all of these contacts (2,000+) onto my phone. The contacts application allows me to filter them (so they don't display), but these contacts (with their thumbnail images) consume over 30MB of precious storage space on my phone! Note I do NOT have Google+ installed on my phone (memory issue). If I delete that group from my contacts, my understanding is those people will be removed from my Google+ circles.
How can I stop this group from downloading? I will never email or call any of these people and this is making my phone almost unusable (memory issues), if I can't resolve then I'll probably be forced to delete my circles in Google+. Don't want to do that but it's more important that my phone works...
Is there a way to transfer my Facebook Contacts into my people contacts? When I upgraded to 2.1, I forgot to sync a few contacts. The names show up, but as Facebook contacts and I want them as people contacts. Also, is there a way to delete Facebook contacts?
