Replaced my iPhone 5 yesterday with the Nexus 5 as i decided to discover Android and see if it is for me.. I synched my iPhone to Windows contacts, so i can see all my contacts on my PC. I don't have my iPhone as it was sold yesterday, so how can i move the contacts from Windows to my Nexus 5?

I have a Samsung Galaxy 5 player running gingerbread. I'm trying to access files on it from my WinXP box via wifi. This seems like it should be a very common thing to do, but I simply can't find it. If I plug it into a usb port, I can access the drives. Can this be done via wifi?
Again, I want to access the android from the PC. Not the other way around.

My WM touch 3G is no longer function properly, I plan to switch to Sony Experia S. It comes a problem that how all my data stored in WM transfer to android, especially appointments and call log in my old WM transfer to the new android. I usually backup my WM calendar data by PIM backup and the backup file is .csa. Originally I plan to import this .csa file to Outlook 2010, then export to Business Calendar Apps or Gmail. I've read countless posts saying to update usb drivers. I have the latest installed now from Google. I had so much trouble getting adb & fastboot to work that I'm leery about messing with my usb drivers.
I love the native music player that comes stock on android (via google music). I also use a mac, and I'm in Canada (so I can't take full advantage of the google music service, I.E. storing music in the cloud and managing it that way. In order to put music on my android phone i simply select the songs in my itunes and and drag them into the music folder in Android File Transfer. This works, however, there is one problem: the songs aren't organized into folders, which makes it extremely difficult to organize / delete music from my phone when I want to, as the songs are organized as 01 01 01 01 01 01 02 02 02 02 02 02 03 03 03 03 etc. I tried to right click the music folder and say new folder but it won't create that folder in the music folder. I tried moving the songs into that folder then dragging it into the music folder but that won't work.
I really don't want to use double twist, because I have in the past, and I don't really like it all that much. I just want my files to be organized into folders so that when I can delete them later when I want to.
I have a Samsung Galaxy Nexus with ICS 4.0.4, and my computer is an Apple MacBook with Mac OS X Snow Leopard. I was about to go to bed, and wanted to transfer some new wallpapers to my phone via the USB cable. I got error messages when I tried to transfer the files, and noticed that an unrecognized corrupt file appeared when I replugged my phone (several times). After a few retries I decided to restart my Nexus and try again. However, after I had restarted, I observed that my Wallpaper folder (with all my wallpapers) was gone.
It's not a big issue, as they're only wallpapers. However, it might happen again with something more critical, and I'd like to figure this out. I'm an avid Linux user for years, using Gentoo Linux as my main operating system. So I don't mind getting down and dirty, if that's necessary.
My first thought is that it still might be on the partition / SD card / whatever the Nexus has, and I might retrieve it by going down on the file system via adb and fs-tools; if that's even possible.
I have nexus 4 rooted and have lot of apps, now yesterday i got galaxy note2 as a gift. And i want to transfer all my apps plus the data to note 2. How to transfer apps with data (Galaxy note 2 is still not rooted).

How do I transfer Windows Media videos to my HTC Evo? Specifically, digital copy that comes when you buy a Blu-Ray movie. The problem seems to be the codec. I used handbrake to when converting but when I tried it, phone said it couldn't play this video. No reason or error code.

These photos were crops from larger photos so, stupidly in hindsight, I did not preserve any of them. I would like to copy all my contacts, complete with photos, to another phone. Copying the simple contact info is easy via the Gmail export/import procedure, but that does not copy the attached photos. Is there a simple way of copying contacts complete with photos?

I'm using a 16Gb card that worked fine in my G1. Windows reports that there is over 14Gb free. I've tried formatting the card via the phone and using other software to transfer the files eg Doubletwist but I still get the same problems.
I am attempting to take the text messages from my old Treo into my new Hero(Sprint). So far I have gotten as far as being able to pull the texts out into a csv and/or xml file via a Jeyo application. Is it possible to somehow get these text messages recognized as real texts via the Hero?

When I connect to the server with the default Android browser it shows the site fine, but when I go to download a file (say a .doc file), the file is larger than normal and can't be opened in quickoffice.Yesterday I was trying to download a 28k word document that kept downloading at 158k in size. In the Android Eclipse plugin, I have downloaded and installed the USB driver (revision 3) package. But when I connect my Nexus One to my PC (running Windows 7) using the USB cable, a message box pops up and shows that "No driver found" for "Nexus One". I have activated USB Debugging on my device. And when I run adb devices on my PC, it just prints List of devices attached and no devices are listed. And if I use Device Manages in Windows, and tries to update the driver for "Nexus One", I can not select a driver in the "driver directory" of Android SDK. How can I install a driver for Nexus One on Windows 7 so I can use it for USB debugging my Android applications on a real device?

I recently got a Nexus 4 after spending the last 5 years or more using an old Sony Ericcson phone.
Today I went to add my phone numbers into my new N4 and it keeps asking me to add them to either my Google or Hotmail (I setup e-mail already) account. Why? I don't want to sync them, I just want to have them there on my phone. I've exported my entire phonebook as a CSV and VCF file on my PC, I but I really cannot find how to import without it also syncing with Google or Hotmail.
In the past couple weeks my nexus has stopped saving contacts that I add. This is regardless of how I add the contact, and I am sure that I have my Google account selected as the one to save to.
what the impact of 'resetting' the phone is. Will I need to reinstall all my apps and widgets?
Quick Story: I had a HTC Legend, and i had a number of problems, so after some arse kicking by me, i got the Nexus one for 25 per month
I am not new to android: i have had the G1 which i did not root, the T-Mobile pulse, which i rooted and the HTC Legend and now the Nexus one.
Some questions?
With the legend i am am awhere of the Sence UI ? i liked how facebook contacts synced to my phone and when i rang i saw there display pictures, does the Nexus one do this?
SMS, is there a similar app to the legend, where you see threaded messages with a picture of there facebook dp?
I can't hear the phone when it rings, its so quiet, the volume is on max, is there anyway to increase this?
