General :: Play Store / Invalid Package File For Paid Apps Only
Jan 10, 2014It is a month or two now that I can't update any paid app, as the APK sent is invalid!
I have the latest Play Store and Play Store Services apps on SGS2 v4.1.2 stock rom.
I tried deleting both data and cache of both, I uninstalled the old app and also tried downgrading both Play Store App, but nothing worked.
I found that the APK files I receive for paid apps are not standard zip files, they seem corrupted or encrypted: can this be?

Oct 22, 2013I use my google account on 2 devices: galaxy s3 and nexus 10 tab.i recently flashed on my s3 a paranoid rom. there, i was asked to sign in to my google account (like always when u set up a phone) but then it downloaded automatically all apps i had on my phone before (under play store ALL) and id also knew, which apps i just use on my tablet and did not install those! know, i finally found which rom i prefer to use from now on (cyanomod).
How to force playstore to restore the device like id happend on the other rom? and NO, have no other backups of my app, and the app data is not importent, i just dont want to download all apps manually.

May 31, 2012Sometimes my dad grounds me from using some of my chat apps that i use to talk to all of my friends. He always checks the Google Play Store on my phone and looks under My Apps and then All so he can see if i've downloaded one of them. If i download it from the play store it will show up here, even if i've already deleted it. I used to be able to get around this by downloading the .apk file for the app from another website, and not from the play store. That way it wouldn't show up in the My Apps section. But the other day i did this and the app still showed up in the My Apps part of the play store, even though i didn't download it from there.
Is another way to download an app so it doesn't show up after i delete it?

The two by martetrut and the casino one. I tried searching my phone for any trace of these apps and found nothing other than their appearance on this list.
Today, I looked at my list and now more mystery apps have appeared, with another app by that martetrut dev.
I downloaded lookout and Norton and ran several scans and they didn't pick up anything.... I'm a little concerned.

I've successfully compiled and flashed the Android source for my Nexus device, but naturally all Google Apps are missing. Mostly, I am interested in the Play Store. Can I extract it from the stock Nexus ROM? Which files do I need? Again, I don't want to download some gapps.zip, but want to know the procedure myself. (I've tried installing some apps from the apps/ directory in the stock rom, only Maps.apk did work.)

Mar 4, 2010I stepped on my first Eris (don't ask) and had to get a replacement through Asurion. Well, I thought when I got my new phone I would be able to redownload all the apps I had purchased but I cant. The Market wants me to pay for them all again. I guess the market tracks you specifially with your phone, not your account. So I called Verizon, of course they were no help. The chick didn't even try to help, I asked her if I could get those apps back and she stalled for a second like she really didnt know but also didnt want to take the time to find out, then she said NOPE. I was like man, that sucks, she said YEP! That was the end of the conversation. Surely there is a way for me to get these apps back without paying for them again? I know they are inexpensive but when you have 10 or so they start to add up! Not to mention I had my first phone for less than a month and hardly got to enjoy the apps I purchased. I've thought about emailing the dev's but dont know if thats a good approach or not.

Jan 4, 2010I purchased a Galaxy a few months ago and installed the Galaxico ROM. Using the market enabler I was able to purchase paid apps (I'm from Ireland where we don't have a paid apps store). I've recently switched to a Milestone. To the best of my knowledge the market enabler will not work with the Milestone because it is not rooted yet.
Is there a way I can get the apps I've paid for already from my Galaxy to my Milestone? I bought CoPilot sat nav app, and this is what I'm thinking abut most. It was pretty expensive, and I'm not going to buy it again.
I contacted CoPilot and they told me I had to wait until the paid app store comes to Ireland. Is there any (legal) way I can get my CoPilot on my Milestone?

Jan 3, 2013I am having an issue on my Asus Transformer Prime tablet. I had my account on there and downloaded a bunch of apps and games. My wife signed up for an account and we added that one and removed my account as she has taken over my tablet. LOL. The app/game says there is an update but when we go to the Play Store it will not allow us to update it, it only shows OPEN and UNINSTALL. If I add my account back onto the tablet the option for update is there.
Is there anyway to update the apps/games without my account being on there? I thought about just deleting the game and re-installing it under her account but that would erase all of her progress in the game.

General :: CM 10.1 / Nexus 4 - Blank Play Store / No Apps Shown
Feb 11, 2013I have CM10.1 20130210 on my phone. (Had 20130208 when I noticed the problem, But I dont think thats the cause). I normally check for CM updates & Play Store every night. Yesterday I wanted to check the Play Store but when I opened it it took me straight to the Categories page (It normally takes me to some "General Featured" page).
When I go into any of the categories it takes me to another categories menu (Example: Games>Racing/Puzzle/Action/Etc.) then if I enter any of those it just takes me to a grey screen, As if there were no apps.
I tried going into My Apps & Its blank. If I go into the All tab though they all show, Clicking on one of those apps does take me to its page & If I try to download a previously uninstalled app it does download and work properly.
Something very weird: The same thing happens in the Webstore, No app shows when going into Editor's Choice & When manually going into the categories its just blank. Going into app pages via my own apps do work.
I've tried clearing the data of the Play Store (Settings>Apps>All>Google Play Store>Clear Data)
I've tried reflashing my phone (Thats why I went from 20130208 to 20130210)
I've tried Force Stopping, Clearing data & Rebooting
I've tried unsyncing & Resyncing my Google Account
I've tried uninstalling & Reinstalling Gapps (goo.im/gapps)
I've tried unsyncing account, Force stopping & Wiping Google Play Services, Store & Services Framework. Then uninstalling them & Reinstalling. Resyncing Google account & Going back in. Still nothing. (At this point Im pissed)
I've tried changing the DPI from 320 (Default) to 220, 200, 300, Etc. Nothing...

Jun 11, 2012I have a Verizon Galaxy Nexus, rooted and running AOKP build 38. There are several key apps that show as "not compatible with my device" in the Google Play Store. What causes this? I've been running these apps forever and all different roms. Apps like HD Widgets and Adobe Flash Player are a couple that are doing this. Is there a way to fix this or is it a per-ROM problem?
