I downloaded this Android File Transfer on my Macbook and I connected my S3 to my Macbook. If I click on the Finder Button and look at the left side, my S3 isn't recognized or it isn't there so I cannot Eject it. And I found out that It's connected just on the Android File Transfer .. so How do I eject it then? Android File Transfer doesn't have an eject button anywhere.

Why does the phone say PAIRED BUT NOT CONNECTED? How do i connect it to the other phone. To be more specific the other phone is the ERIS. So is it even possible to send songs, pics, etc to other phones from the DROID? And can the ERIS even accept bluetooth file transfers?

How to simply send all my data across directly from my phone to the laptop. I also dont have a spare samsung lying about for the motherboard switch.

Notice how phone recognised usb stick as a usb device, whereas mine was called an sd card , he had the option to eject usb stick safely on his gingerbread rom, whereas i didnt on my jellybean rom

I have a Samsung Galaxy 5 player running gingerbread. I'm trying to access files on it from my WinXP box via wifi. This seems like it should be a very common thing to do, but I simply can't find it. If I plug it into a usb port, I can access the drives. Can this be done via wifi?
Again, I want to access the android from the PC. Not the other way around.
Android file transfer won't recognise my HTC one running 4.3 when connected,I tried using it on Windows on the same Mac via boot camp and it works, it's just the Android file transfer which is not detecting the device it says "connect the device via the cable" well something like that.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've only had my droid for about three weeks now and would like to take everything off of my old SD card and utilize the 16gb card but I can't figure out how to do so. I have a MacBook, and when I had my Blackberry Curve and connected that to the Mac, it messed up pretty much anything media related and prevented me from accessing the sd card (if I remember correctly, it was a while ago and I certainly didn't try to do it again). From the looks of some of the forums, there have also been problems connecting the Droid to Mac's so I'm afraid to do that. Does anyone know if this is still the case? I'm at a loss at how to get the stuff onto my phone or the new sd card.

I also use a mac, and I'm in Canada (so I can't take full advantage of the google music service, I.E. storing music in the cloud and managing it that way. In order to put music on my android phone i simply select the songs in my itunes and and drag them into the music folder in Android File Transfer. This works, however, there is one problem: the songs aren't organized into folders, which makes it extremely difficult to organize / delete music from my phone when I want to, as the songs are organized as 01 01 01 01 01 01 02 02 02 02 02 02 03 03 03 03 etc. I tried to right click the music folder and say new folder but it won't create that folder in the music folder. I tried moving the songs into that folder then dragging it into the music folder but that won't work.
I really don't want to use double twist, because I have in the past, and I don't really like it all that much. I just want my files to be organized into folders so that when I can delete them later when I want to.
If both people had the same app and of course had android... Like where I could upload something and they could download it like a mms, or would I have to use cloud sharing? Also which is the best cloud sharing and easiest for both pc and phone? Skybox/Cloud whatever microsoft calls it, dropbox or? I'd like one where I could upload everything from a pc with no transfer/UPLOADING required, just drag ad drop.

I've transferred a few file by ftp from my machine (running linux debian) to the mobile. Everything seemed ok, except that after a while the file disappeared.
I've ftped to the mobile with nautilus. Do I need to "cleanly" close the ftp connection on nautilus to avoid this issue?

I have to transfer the file to my MacBook, and then decide if I want to keep it or not because that's the only way it'll reveal what it is. (Simply pulling out the USB cable is not advisable as next time I insert it the PC won't recognise the phone properly, and it needs a battery pull.) The "Eject" option is there with other USB devices - is this something particular to the Droid/Milestone?

Lately, I've noticed it has been having connection issues. I start the hotspot, my laptop "sees" it. And I can connect (shows "connected" in the wifi window next to "FoxFi" on laptop). But, at the top of the same wifi window, it also shows (under "Currently connected to:"), "No internet access" (or something - connected right now on different wifi network, so I can't get the exact wording). But I hope this is clear.
Why this weird contradiction? One part of the window says I'm connected, the other says I'm not.
I posted this earlier but it disappeared? When the phone is unplugged, it says USB connected, and all of the icons are missing from the top of the homepage (time, signal strength, 3g, etc). The pull down menu is also hard to pull down then is real jerky when it does pull down. When the phone is plugged in, it has the signal for the USB and all the icons return, It also shows a full battery, then tho it is not.

This person could snap pictures with the mobile, and send them directly to me over MSN, and also send other files, like mp3s and such.As far as I know, Meebo and Ebuddy can't do this. They can't even recieve the files. Surely my $500 Desire must be able to do this somehow? Which IM apps are able to do this, while also storing logs?Would it really be that hard for Microsoft to do an android version of MSN, just like it works on a computer? I mean why storing logs on Meebo's server, when they could be stored on your SD ?

We are hiking in and I won't be bringing my clunky large laptop.I have a GPS that will store 5 days of data to synch with a camera, but need to dump the data somewhere every 5 days or it becomes useless from that point on. Is there an app for the Droid that will allow me to connect directly to this device via the USB interface (SIMA GPS, has a USB out/in) that I can transfer and store the data file from the GPS, then dump onto my PC when I return home?
