Instead of physically connecting the DI to my computer through USB.I figure I should be able to perform any functions via Wi-Fi.Is there a free app for this.In short,I just wanna be able to transfer any/all files to/from the DI over Wi-Fi.Any app?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI searched the Incredible forums and sub forums and could not find an answer to this question, though I am sure it has been asked: If I want to go from my stock 2 GB card to a new card, and I want to preserve data AND have all apps still be able to read whatever data they were reading off the card, do I just transfer the files from one card to the other? I bet the only thing I need to make sure of is that new card is formatted with the same file system as the original card, right? I know copying data from one card to the other will preserve data, but I want to make sure I have no problems with apps, either, after inserting the newer card.

I paired it with my Macbook with no issues and then was able to send over a file to my Incredible via BT. Came across perfectly fine. Goes in the sdcarddownloadsbluetooth folder.This phone just keeps getting better.

This person could snap pictures with the mobile, and send them directly to me over MSN, and also send other files, like mp3s and such.As far as I know, Meebo and Ebuddy can't do this. They can't even recieve the files. Surely my $500 Desire must be able to do this somehow? Which IM apps are able to do this, while also storing logs?Would it really be that hard for Microsoft to do an android version of MSN, just like it works on a computer? I mean why storing logs on Meebo's server, when they could be stored on your SD ?

We are hiking in and I won't be bringing my clunky large laptop.I have a GPS that will store 5 days of data to synch with a camera, but need to dump the data somewhere every 5 days or it becomes useless from that point on. Is there an app for the Droid that will allow me to connect directly to this device via the USB interface (SIMA GPS, has a USB out/in) that I can transfer and store the data file from the GPS, then dump onto my PC when I return home?

View 16 Replies View RelatedGot a GW620 yesterday, 20 PCM on T-Mobile with all you can eat data. It was a choice between this and the HTC and as the 620 has a keyboard it wins (for me). so got a free 8gb SD HC card, which the phone sees and saves photos etc to. but if I connect the phone via USB to my laptop (Dell Mini 10, XP SP3) it sees the memory card but wont let me access it (says please insert disk). Thats if I have it in mass storage mode. If I turn mass storage off the PC doesnt see the card at all.

Quite honestly I had never used bluetooth before, but since this phone has it I am playing around with it.I tried Astro and ES File explorer, but those work only if I need to transfer files between phones.I then found out Bluetooth File Transfer which lets me share files between my phone and my laptop. That app is very nice, and also by the same developer Dual File Manager.both free from the market.But I supposed file transfer via bluetooth between a laptop or other devices and the phone was a given.Is an extra app absolutely necessary or did I miss something? What other File Managers with bluetooth support do you know of?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm new to this forum and have just purchased a BNIB Hero locked to Orange,Rom Ver: 2.73.61.66.I am not much phone or PC savy but am learning.This is my first Android Phone.I discovered this site last night and spent a few hours reading, what a great site.Managed to set up a Google link, up loaded a bar scanner and scanned a couple of apps off this site, excellent.Unfortunately also spent a few hours trying to transfer a blue-tooth file from my existing phone to the Hero, to eventually find out the Orange Hero is not set up for this, I was truly amazed at this news.I am able to pair both devises, just the transfer won't take place.I searched this site and the web for an application that will allow me to do this, can anyone suggest one.

I've transferred a few file by ftp from my machine (running linux debian) to the mobile. Everything seemed ok, except that after a while the file disappeared.
I've ftped to the mobile with nautilus. Do I need to "cleanly" close the ftp connection on nautilus to avoid this issue?

Everything is connected and I have had no problem sending files from the computer the phone, but everytime I try to send from the phone to the computer it says "unable to connect to remote device"anyone have any suggestions? this happens with pictures, videos and music files.
