Recently my Eclipse IDE seems it has stopped letting me use the common shortcuts like Ctrl + Shift + O and it is not prompting me with suggestions when I hover my mouse over an error.

So I'm trying to make Google play music save on my sdcard and I'm having a problem with the script. First the phone I have is the DROID RAZR MAXX and I just did a FDR because of a root problem and now that I have it rooted the scripts aren't working. My script text is this
"Mount -o bind sdcard-ext/MusicCache sdcard/Android/data/com.google.Android.music"
The error it shows is like this:

I have a samsung galaxy grand and I so like it but I am quite disappointed as some of its features aren't working. For instance, the automatic feature for making calls. The instruction says that if you put the device on your ear, it will automatically prompt you to contacts where you can make calls.

View 9 Replies View RelatedIn an HTML page, I have at one place, <a name="updates"></a>, but in a WebView, when I click on <a href="#updates">updates</a>, it doesn't jump to the correct place. It works fine if I load that page in a browser. It does nothing but mark that link as visited in the WebView. Is there some setting that I'm not correctly configuring?
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy friendstream and facebook app aren't working. Whenever I open friendstream it loads for a minute or two and then just tells me I have to force close it. And as for facebook the actual app works, but when I try to use the widget it tells me problem loading gadget. But if I delete it, reinstall it, and don't download the update it works fine. Is this just me or is it a problem with the app?

Say the change was in manifest or resources. Now I have to focus with mouse on main java source file, press Ctrl+F11, choose (with mouse or two keys) to Run as Android app.
Is there a keyboard shortcut to just save all, build&run the project as an Android app?
We've been developing an Android app at work for a few months now and recently acquired Droid Incredibles (API ver. 8) to replace our HTC Dev Phones (API ver. 4).
DANG are these some sweet new toys, but unsurprisingly, they've got a few quirks...
1) It's normal for my user to let the program run for long periods without any input, but he'd still need the display to work the entire time. Can anybody suggest a function call or setting or something that will prevent the Incredible's screen from dimming while my application is running??
2) On the Dev phone, I was able to copy my application's database file (thousands of uses, that) onto the SD card's root directory and fly. I could view the directory on my PC via USB; when I released the SD card from the PC, my application was perfectly happy with it and obediently read from and wrote to the database; and I didn't have to remove the SD card, ever. That doesn't seem to be the case with the newer, better phone, though. My application seems to be reading my start up parameters properly, but all attempts to save data in my database aren't working so well unless I'm just doing something wrong. Can anybody point me to documentation specifically geared toward the Incredible?
I've been trying for over a day to send pics. It tells me they sent but no one is receiving them. I've tried shutting off my phone and updating and still not working. I have straight talk and a Samsung galaxy precedent
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I was trying to edit the buttons on my Tmo Galaxy S3 (with AOKP Milestone 2) and accidentally broke all of them. They don't respond at all now.
I went into system/usr/keylayout. I copied the files to my sd card. Then I edited them (I also kept a backup of the old files). When I was finished I went back to the system/user/keylayout section and pasted the new files. As soon as I exited the file browser my phone reset itself. When the phone came back on none of the keys worked.
So I deleted the files I put in, and replaced them with the old files that were there before (using pie controls to navigate). I reset my phone using the app Quick Boot because I heard you have to reboot your phone in order for the new software coding to take effect. But still none of the hardware keys work.
I don't understand. All of the original files are there now. I'm afraid to let my phone die or to even turn it off because I don't know if the power button will work anymore. To wake up my phone I have to plug it into the charger and then use pie controls to navigate. get the hardware keys back to the way they were?
I just got a Galaxy S3 and I moved my songs onto a micro sd card. This was a chore. The sync feature didn't work. Th message on my machine said my disk was full,. So, I finally ended up taking out the microsd and puting it into an adaptor and moving my songs onto it.
I put back the card back into the phone. I can play songs off of the card. However, I can't seem to save any made up playlists. I've used winamp and google music player to try to make playlists. The playlists seem to disappear after a while.

When I put my S3 in silent mode, the ringer is muted but the notification alerts are not. I have to manually mute the notifications alerts (and then manually turn them back on). This happened after I downloaded a ringer mode widget that I almost immediately uninstalled. how to reset the ringer mode so that Silent includes notification alerts?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to install the components for developing Android apps on my Mac with Leopard osx 10.5.8. Since i use an outdated version of Eclipse "Ganymede" i have decided to upgrade to 32bit Indigo, i have downloaded the SDK and installed the recomended components with Android manager as explained, this in the Applications directory (where Eclipse is also installed), then i have downloaded the ADT plugin for eclipse successfully, Eclipse asked me to restart and so i did, but when after the restart, i click on Eclipse > Preferences..... i dont see the Android directory, when i create a new project, even under 'Other' there is no Android option, though if i display the installed plugin i see the Android ADT plugin listed I dont think it is a SDK issue, i think the ADT plug in its the cause of the malfunction, but i would not know where to check this since it is correclty installed.

I can activate it, but the E- H- or 3G-symbol isn't shown and the internet doesn't work. I read in another forum, that my APN-Settings may be wrong, so I tried going to "Settings > More... > Mobile Networks > Accespoints", but this menu is empty. I only see the headline "APNs", that's it...
I deleted some apps, perhaps that's the problem, but I did a backup of the system/app folder. If that's the problem, perhaps you can tell me the app I need to reinstall...

On my brand new Windows 7 machine, I downloaded Eclipse (Galileo) and several Eclipse plugins (Android's ADT plugin, Subclipse, etc.) After rebooting, neither of these plugins are showing up in the IDE (nothing in the preferences, menus, etc.) but if I click "Installation Details" in the 'About Eclipse' popup, I see all of the plugins listed as Installed Software. (ex. Android DDMS 0.9.5, Subclipse 1.6.5, etc.) How do I get my plugins to work?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm working on a 1.5 Android application. Developing in Eclipse 3.4.2 on Windows XP. I have a MapView, have requested updates, etc.
The problem is that after the first manually injected GPS coordinate, the app stops recognizing that a GPS coord has been sent.

Then MyLocationListener simply changes the value in a TextView to match the new GPS coordinate.

I added some logging in the onLocationChanged method and it only ever sees a Location the first time that I attempt to send an update. All subsequent ones don't fire the onLocationChanged method.

According to http://developer.android.com/reference/android/location/LocationProvider.html#AVAILABLE , that 2 maps to "Available".
As soon as that "Available" gets set, no other locations get passed through. Seems a bit counterintuitive.
Can you please advise if development tools Eclipse, Android sdk, usb driver etc. are working properly under Windows 7 32 and 64 bit?

They are smaller than all the other icons, and when I select them they take me to the appstore to download that specific app. These shortcuts are for apps I have not downloaded. I can't find them in my programs to remove, either.
I'm certain this is a result of another game I have downloaded, but I can't see where to shut it off. I've witnessed my phone flash something like 'Shortcut for Play Castle Crash created' while on a phone call or in another app. I'll remove it from my screen, but it'll reappear after a few hours. And if I don't remove them, they will fill all empty shortcut spots.
I have been looking for an app that will place a small, transparent icon on my screen that can launch an application. I would love to have an icon that looks something like the icons for SmartTask Bar and ButtonSavior. But I just want it to be a shortcut so that I can launch any other app the same way.

This was working fine when I first started the project. I am referring to editing/adding to the strings.xml file. It used to display a design and XML tab that allowed me to update it. now its just showing up as a table. Any ideas? I don't understand how I could have messed this up. I did check in another project of mine and I am getting the same results so I don't think it has anything to do with the XML.

View 2 Replies View Relatedwhen I connect my SGS2 or my sons Exhibit 2 to my windows 7 laptop. The pc recognizes the phones, I see all the files, from adobe-digital-editions to Zedge. The problem is that they show up under Removable Disk (F as "Shortcut" and size is 2kb each. I cant open or move anything to them. I'm thinking its something on the pc side because 2 phones are doing this.

I have recently got an ICS update on my Motorola Atrix 2 in India. I have been using gingerbread for quiet a long and now suddenly everything has changed.
I have anyway explored almost all the changes in ICS. But I am still not able to find one feature which I really loved in gingerbread.
When I press and hold on empty part of home screen, a pop up comes up listing widgets, shortcuts, folders and wallpaper which is now replaced by wallpaper only. However, widgets can be still added after pressing menu key and selecting widgets tab. Folders can created by just dragging and dropping apps on one another.
But the most shocking part for me is that there is no way I can create a shortcut or at least I didn't find. I had pinned "catch" notes on my home screen in gingerbread which is not working anymore although the option is still there in the catch application.
Using Astro File Manager, I used to create my important folders from sd card as shortcuts on my home screen which is also not working any more. Is there anything I am missing out or ICS for motorola atrix 2 doesn't have that feature?
