General :: Tablet Not Turning On?
Sep 29, 2012I'm having an issue with my tablet, an Onda VI40 Ultimate. It was left off for a day or two, and when I plugged it in yesterday I got the battery screen, but it was in orange and showing that it needed to be charged. I figured I'd leave it alone for a few hours, then come back to it.
I left it plugged in for four hours, but when I came back to it the tablet is just giving the same message. I took out the charger, plugged it in again and got the same screen. I plugged it into my desktop pc via usb cable, and it just gives the same screen over and over. I got another charger, one exactly like it, and plugged it in. Same screen again. I pressed the reset button, same screen. I tried holding down the power button and volume up button, but no deal. I have the latest CM9 build installed on it, with ICS 4.0.4.
I have included below a terribly blurry photograph of what I'm seeing when I try to turn it on, or do anything with it. The tablet just never seems to charge no matter what I do, nor will it boot in any way.

Oct 4, 2013A Tasker task that when I'm on the lockscreen, I can tap or double tap to turn the screen off. I've looked in the Tasker tasks and I'm unable to find anything for this. I already use the Nova gesture+ScreenOff app to turn the screen off when I'm unlocked and at the homescreen, which works perfectly. The only thing Nova can't do it turn the screen off from the lockscreen.

Jan 26, 2014Ive had a rooted Alcatel One Touch Fierce for about a month. Just recently a Tmobile update downloaded and i installed it. My phone rebooted and ever since then my screen turns off or goes black everytime i turn the screen on. For example when i press the lock button to wake my phone it will display for at least a second then go black but the touch is still functional so id have to navigate by guessing where everything is then pop the screen on for a second to see where i am. The only exception is when i bring up my keyboard or edit settings like when a slider pops up for brightness. I can see the android startup screen until its fully rebooted and i can see the recovery mode. Ive reformatted my data and cache. It is also not the timeout setting. I cant find anything about this issue anywhere.

Jan 6, 2014I keep getting a message when battery is low and runs of power. When i try to turn on the tabletI get a blue screen that asks to reboot and a series of requests to update in Various ways. When I reboot it comes on and is glitchy. It turns on in safe mode. When I check out the requests I get a Scary green screen with a lot of writing and symbols I don't understand. Also I can't get the information for the nook that on the tablet, it won't open. Very much. not a skilled user of this new technology stuff. Jan 21, 2014Recently I have rooted my android tablet and I was exploring what I could do. One guy was telling me about an app that can work with performance in game(ChainFire 3D). He said it lowers the pixels in the game to run better. I tapped the install button and it said rebooting now. It then started to reboot but then proceeded to get stuck at the boot screen. I tried doing a hard reset but it is still stuck. I have also tried flashing the stock rom, but I get installation aborted when I try and install it.

Jul 7, 2012I have a Motorola XOOM WIFI US version (don't remember exactly the Android version, but it's 3 point something). It was rooted and unlocked, but I decided to relock it, so I followed a tutorial to do it.
Everything worked fine and, despite the long process and the several steps, I didn't have any problems at all, but when I finished flashing the images from the usb, the tablet automatically rebooted and now it's stuck at the boot screen, with the Motorola logo.
I have read some topics with the same issue and I always see the same solution: go into the recovery mode, but the problem is that I can't even access the recovery mode. When I push the vol + button to select the "recovery" option, I just got a message "Reading ODM fuse: 1", and there's nothing else I can do. I can't even shut the tablet down.

Apr 20, 2014I received a generic Chinese table. it worked well for about two-and-a-half months. Then, just recently, I discovered rooting and the wonderful things it allowed you to do. I decided to download a system-tweak app, which included a CPU control. I was a little wary of overclocking my CPU, having heard it may decrease its life expectancy, but finally I thought "What the heck?" and in a brilliant stroke of genius cranked my 1Ghz processor up to 1.5Ghz, and it promptly froze, forcing me to power it down. When I turned it back on, I discovered that it had been factory reset. I re-installed my apps, including the system-tweak app, and decided not to touch the CPU controls for a while. Soon after, while at my sister's talent show, I discovered I had about 30% battery life, and I was still supposed to record her. So I figured I'd underclock it to save the battery.
Unfortunately, as my finger touched the slider, my brother bumped my arm and caused me to lower the CPU frequency to its lowest setting. It became extremely sluggish, almost to the point of being unresponsive, and finally I had to shut it down. When I restarted it, it started to boot but then got stuck on the shimmering Android logo, and now that's all it does. I can't even boot into recovery mode, and unfortunately I had just turned off USB debugging that same day.

Nov 24, 2013I dropped my Note 2 yesterday and the screen started slowly turning blue. This morning, the screen completely got filled with blue/white/messed up color, and then went completely black. Touchscreen still worked though because I was able to maneuver around the phone right after it was dropped. Screen was not cracked. does the screen has to be replaced as well or i can replace it with smaller parts?

Currently my Tablet behave strangely where when I switched it ON, it did run as per normal. But when I slide the unlock slider, the Tablet switch off.
I did a backup user data. Try entering recovery, wipe data/reset factory. Reboot the Tablet, it also did run as per normal. But when I slide the unlock slider, the Tablet switch off.
Then I try another approach. Try entering recovery, wipe data/reset factory. Connect the USB cable to computer. Reboot the Tablet, it also did run as per normal with no unlock slider where it did show a USB enable menu. Press back and it did run as normal. Then I disable the "slide the unlock slider" in setting. Everything work as per normal. Try restart and no problem.
Then I restore previous user data, unfortunately I cannot disable the unlock slider. Try Connect the USB cable to computer, the slider still there.
I'm looking for a way of disabling the unlock slider via ADB command.
Another way I can think of is sideload "Screen lock suppressor" apk into system.[URL]...
Now I forget how to push the apk into system. Or, any other apk to disable the unlock slider.
