my gs4's lockscreen is "blinking"..
When i press the lock button on the phone which is roughly 2 months old, the lockscreen goes of for a second nd then automatically turns on stating tht swipe to unlock, life companion and etc.

A Tasker task that when I'm on the lockscreen, I can tap or double tap to turn the screen off. I've looked in the Tasker tasks and I'm unable to find anything for this. I already use the Nova gesture+ScreenOff app to turn the screen off when I'm unlocked and at the homescreen, which works perfectly. The only thing Nova can't do it turn the screen off from the lockscreen.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am plan B and AVG security installed, both don't always work, I have pattern lock on the phone but even in pattern lock mode when i press and hold power button the phone gives me option to shutdown.
If someone steals my phone they will be able to shut it off without unlocking it since holding down power button still works. So is there a way to lock the power button from shutting off phone when the phone is in pattern unlock mode?
Is it possible to lock widgets so that changes cannot be made to the 4.2.2 lock screen?
View 1 Replies View RelatedIve had a rooted Alcatel One Touch Fierce for about a month. Just recently a Tmobile update downloaded and i installed it. My phone rebooted and ever since then my screen turns off or goes black everytime i turn the screen on. For example when i press the lock button to wake my phone it will display for at least a second then go black but the touch is still functional so id have to navigate by guessing where everything is then pop the screen on for a second to see where i am. The only exception is when i bring up my keyboard or edit settings like when a slider pops up for brightness. I can see the android startup screen until its fully rebooted and i can see the recovery mode. Ive reformatted my data and cache. It is also not the timeout setting. I cant find anything about this issue anywhere.

View 1 Replies View Relatedso i have factory reseted my phone twice and used wakelock and i cant find a solution. looked through forums and found possible answers but all failed. i press the lock button on the right side then after about two seconds it turns right back on. when it sleeps again it turns right back on .. i have not found a solution to it. i have the 4.3 jellybean on it. the only solution that sometimes works is a lock screen app that i downloaded from the play store. but it really sucks when i get a message the screen turns on right then after it goes off then turns right back on .. so if i miss any notification it drains my battery because my phone wont stay off.

This morning, the screen completely got filled with blue/white/messed up color, and then went completely black. Touchscreen still worked though because I was able to maneuver around the phone right after it was dropped. Screen was not cracked. does the screen has to be replaced as well or i can replace it with smaller parts?

It doesn't do that if i plug,it,in a computer usb, it doesn't,do that and charges normally. Is that a wide spread issue.

I'm going to deploy 30 android tablets to a classroom in the College where I work, and since I love android, i'd rather not see this little experiment fail. Through a combination of "App Lock" and a widely distributed MDM, I have been able to accomplish most of my requirements, however i'd still like to be able to lock down the home screen, in particular, remove the ability for users to change the wallpaper (I have a nightmare that this feature would be abused from day one!).
I have looked at using different launchers (tried Apex and Smart Launcher) which nicely lock down the home screen, but they still allow users to change the launcher preferences which makes that approach a bit pointless.
my lock screen has a line of gibberish on it. At the top is the date/time an volume control, then a line across the screen as normal. Below the line to the left is like a status area, it normaly says nothing, or says Charging %% (if plugged in) or connect charger (if low battery). but for some reason this week if it is not low battery or charging, it has a line of jibberish that goes almost the whole way across the scree. is ~~~~~~+~~~~~aaqa~~a~~+~ What does this mean & how do I get it off my screen. It doesn't seem to effect the phone functioning. & as soon as I unlock the screen it goes away. So more of an annoyance then anything, but I want my phone to be working perfectly.

I have a Motorola Razr Maxx that is running the latest OS, and is rooted. I recently broke my screen and cannot get past the lock screen so I can start my VNC server (to continue using my phone without the screen). I have searched through what seems to be all posts on bypassing pattern lock and I have not been able to succeed yet due to permission denial for super user in ADB, not having sqlite3 on my phone, and not being able to flash anything onto it in recovery mode.

I've got the screenlock password on my Galaxy Note. It's in English layout (it was originally entered in Swipe keyboard). Then I've changed the Settings to Samsung keyboard and French layout (same latin letters) and switched off the screen. Now my pass is not working as I cannot change layout to English (the settings button on keyboard is grey). So would you recommend any solution as I don't want to wipe all the data. Is it possible to change layout to original English or reset password somehow?

I have been trying to create a profile where if im connected to my home wifi, the lock pattern on my lockscreen will be off. if im not connected to my home wifi network, I want the lock pattern to be back on. But I noticed, unlike Handcent or ChompSMS, it does NOT have a popup window with incoming text on the Lock screen! I like to check out my text and maybe send a quick reply without unlocking my phone.
I can't find the option anywhere in Go SMS Pro, so I think it doesn't have it. I'd like to continue using it, but I think I'll have to go back to Handcent for the Lock screen text.

is it possible to have an app/modified lock screen with two passwords that unlocks it:
one that unlocks the phone normally and another that hides some applications, sms, calls, and maybe starts a blacklist?
