I have a China copy of Samsung note its a I9220 with a android version of 4.1.9 athough looks like a copy of gingerbread.
Build number is Alps.ics.mp.v1
Google play reports phone as Alps I9220
My wife has done a reset on the phone, now the phone is showing invalid imei number on both sim cards.The phone has network connection but cannot make calls.The IMEI numbers are listed under the battery, how can i change the IMEI on the phone so i can make calls again?
My Quest tablet is accidentally locked yesterday it asking for gmail and password but i forgot the gmail id and password.So after a long search i found lots of things such as unlocking tablet pattern lock,gmail lock,pin lock etc.These topics only be successfull only when the tablet is in recovery mode.So i tried to put my tablet into recovery mode by pressing vol + and power button.But there appears a android bot lying with red traiangle exlamation.So i simply tried to access recovery menu by pressing power and the vol + .But nothing happens neither than a dead android bot lying down with a red traiangle.

I bought just for try a tablet on Ebay - Name: N500 8G, Allwinner. Name of the model: BC1077, verzion of Android 4.0.3.
The problem is that the android 4.0.3 does not sync google calendar.
My China tablet will not turn on. The screen lights up but nothing else happens.There is no reset button, pressing volume and on button together does nothing.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have Tablet PC Q8 model gs701b. Firstly it worked properly but i decided to change rom. After i install new rom Front camera stopped to respond. Tablet didn't recognize it. (It thinks that front camera doesn't exist :X ) And the other problem is that rear camera doesn't work properly either. It shows show image such as in mirror :X I have tried to install on it many other roms Such as 1) TF-20121031-Q8-0329camera.zip (Doesn't work touchscreen) 2012092002_Q8_TF.zip (Doesn't work touchscreen). Q8-New-UPGRADE_FAST.zip- (Works) and Now I have OVO light Update 2 It works great but camera still doesn't work properly. :X what to do ?

I tried to root my android mobile (Qmobile A-900, which is a rebranded version of Gionee Elife E3 Specs and Data sheet) from here and was sucessful.
I installed "MTK mobileuncle" app from google play store which would reboot phone to CWM Recovery when i select "recovery update" option.
Next i tried to install a custom Rom and followed each and every step mentioned here "For CWM Recovery i follwed steps mentioned here"
I made by current stock ROM backup file into SD saved in path SDCARDclockworkmodackup Then in CWM recovery mode i selected Format data/factory reset , then Install from ZIP, Select the Downloaded Zip (selected the custom ROM zip which was 383 Mb, the screen then installed and i recieved "sucessfully installed message while in cwm which then said that i should Reboot my phone which i did.
But now i just get my old Stock Rom welcome logo when i boot my phone for 3 sec and then it restarts and the same thing happens again and again.
"I know its not bricked coz it still displays stock rom logo and starts for a while."
I followed the guide on this website to update my HTC One V to Android 4.2.1: URL.....

I am so paranoid,this is the first time i've tried rooting or flashing a ROM,is there any way to stop this?
So I just flashed CyanogenMod 11 on LG G2 and forgotbto flash GApps on my phone and when I try folowwing CyanogenMod steps to booting into recovery mode it won't and it just boots back into the operating system. I think Clockworkmod got deleted when I flashed the operating system. So I can't install it without gapps and I need my apps.

It then deleted all of my contacts.So I deleted Facebook, re-stored all my contacts and reloaded Facebook. However, now it gets as far as installing and it never stops. It just stays on Installing.However, the FB app works fine on the phone itself.Is this a Market glitch? Is there anyway I can purge it from out of my downloads section?

I'm new to this whole ROM thing. So I installed this Omega Rom and now in settings it says my storage is significantly down. My Galaxy S4 is 16GB, which had about 6GB free storage, now since I installed the ROM, It says I have 8.94GB total space, and only 2GB free space. How can I get it all back?

View 1 Replies View RelatedNew to rooting etc. Have ordered a Jiayu G3S MTK6589T 1.5Ghz phone and wanted to get the phone rooted and CWM installed so I can back up the existing ROM and try some new ones out.
Have seen guides for the G3 with the older 1.2Ghz CPU and also some other phones with the MTK6589T CPU but was unsure if these would work or brick my phone etc.
G3S or has rooted one and got CWM installed successfully. I usually go for CyanogenMod or a simple stock ROM

My old phone - Rooted HTC Hero - I keep as a spare, and use only when I am travelling overseas, to put a local SIM Card into.
My question is, can I install apps on the spare phone on an ad-hoc basis, without using my regular Google account?
Ideally, downloading .apk files for Android market apps?
As it's only a spare, and mainly used for voice not data, i don't really want all the same apps as on my main phone, just some of them -things like Go SMS, JuiceDefender, etc
Also currently, the plan I have with the local SIM card I'm currently using has no data - only voice. So apart from connecting it via my laptop, I could only install apps using free wifi.
I have installed cyanogenmod 9 in my Sony Live Walkman, and the kernel that comes with it.
Can I install a new kernel (like rage kernel) without having to install the rom (CM9) again? It will work just replacing the kernel?
My wife is taking her dinc to Beijing. I called in and activated the international data plan prorated for one week. Will the skype app work to skype my Droid Eris?

These batteries are Atomic! I'm getting 50% more running time out of them than the factory battery no lie. The batteries are marked HTC Touch Pro 2 but fit the Incredible also.

I really like installing apps, testing them, and removing them. Does installing apps and then uninstalling them end up making your phone slower?
