ive just got an HTC one and somehow managed to accidentally delete the app for Photos, so now I have no app to get to my photos quickly which I would like to have on the home screen of my phone so I have quick access to my camera and photos, instead of having to go through the camera app or gallery app to get to my photos, how do i get this app back?

I rooted the Huawei Ascend Y300, and with my new-found power i for some reason decided it was a good idea to delete the system UI...
So now the screen is just black, I can't access anything and it keeps coming up with "systemUI has stopped responding".
I tried downloading Huawei's official firmware from their website, and flashed the device, but whilst installing it said "update error" and wouldn't install it.
i accidentaly deleted the lib folder in system and i did not make any backup and now my Note 2 is stuck in a boot loop. When i tried to flash stock 4.1.2 it failed in the odin and on the phone it said unsuported version.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI spent some time cleaning off stock HTC apps (Facebook.apk, HTC Facebook and Friend Stream included), but now all my contacts under People are no longer linked to any Facebook accounts. If I go to the Global tab, there is no option to refresh Facebook friends list. I've tried re-installing Facebook for Android, and I've also tried downloading the Facebook.apk and adding it back into /system/app. Really, all I want ot do is sync Facebook with my phone contacts to pull in pics and birthdays, I don't care about Friend Stream or HTC's stock FB app. Anyone know what to do?

Mission accomplished.Except for the fact that I deleted the original messaging software that came with the phone using Titanium Backup. (Which didnt back it up!) Everything was working well (I use Chomp SMS) except i havent gotten any texts all day and no one has been responding to mine. Which, btw, they do recieve, I just haven't been recieving anybodies texts. Can somebody help a brotha out?

View 12 Replies View RelatedI have a great calendar app and the developer warned in the notes to the last update that the next update would usher in ads. I don't want that. I don't have it set to auto update, so I know I can just not accept the update. But I know at some point in the future, my phone will say "found 14 updates" and I'll just hit "update all" and forget to check whether this app I like is one of the 14. Then I'll be stuck with ads. I'd love to be able to somehow disable it from updating period, or from even looking for updates. Is there a way to do this?

I just got a Nexus 4 and activated it with a Straighttalk (at&t) SIMS card. I have been using Straighttalk for a while now and simply moved my cell # to this phone. I love the Nexus 4 so far although while I did something pretty silly.... I was messing around with the voicemail settings I accidentally deleted the Voicemail Number that was on the phone.
Now whenever I try to call my phone a voice message comes up which says "Sorry the person you have called does not have voice box set up ect...." Mind you that I did have a voicemail box set-up before I deleted this voicemail number on the phone. I have tried to replace the "Voicemail #" with my own cell phone number but that does not work. Also I have tried just holding down the number 1 but that same message comes up. When I call *86 it says "message cannot be completed as dialed".....
So when updating my phone, I was all like 'I know how this show goes' and like an IDIOT I put my Samsung S2 i9100 kernel file on the bootloader spot and it boots to a black screen. I can still put it in download mode, and tried to install it the correct way but that doesn't matter.

Anyways. I froze some lockscreen related apks in Titanium including but not limited to the following:
idlescreen_base.apk
idlescreen_shortcut.apk
And cannot pass thru the lock screen right now. I see the status bar alright, but the majority the screen shows nothing / responds to nothing.
Is there anything I could do thru PC / adb to unlock the phone or defrost selected system apks? When connected to PC via USB, it's charging by default, not disk storage.
I was hoping to retrieve some accidentally erased pics from my phone with an SD card adapter. When I opened up my phone I was surprised to see that there was NO sd card. who have that memory chip, but is there any hope for me without the card? Incidentally, Google+ backed up a few of my photos.

An error is given that states: 'The download of "app name" was declined because you haven't purchased it.'Detaching said apps from Market/Play store with Titanium backup has worked for me for ONE paid app, (I think) but not others.
Examples: NFS: Hot Pursuit worked, but Shadowgun, Soundhound: Infinity, Mixologist and others still show up as purchased. I've downgraded to earlier Market and detached, detached and cleared Market data and then rebooted, any number of combinations to no avail.
I contacted Play Store support, they said there's a special division working on this issue, and I received an email saying they'd contact me if they needed any details.
My HTC Desire VC (T328d) was rooted and running Android OS 4.0.3 (ics).
In recovery mode, I accidentally formatted /system folder (from internal phone memory). This is because the recovery mode is all in chinese language and I did a huge mistake.The phone cannot boot showing HTC logo screen and no boot sound.

I have rooted my HCL V1 tab and Installed "No Frill CPU Control" to use build-in governors.After a day I found that If I used to reboot the device, the max frequency is set to 800 MHz rather the 1 GHz.
I don't know why it's is happening. As I had not flashed anything till yet and had only just rooted the device since i bought it.
I had also reset the device to factory setting but won't work.So after reading so many threads I found the below things:
If I check my device:
Then the max speed at /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/cpuinfo_max_freq
is == 1000000
But if I check this:
max speed at /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_max_freq
then the value is 800000
for a while if I change this scaling to 1000000 then the device shows that its 1 GHz. But Now If I again reboot the device then check again and found that it's again 800MHz and the scaling value is again set to 800000.
I was just asking, can I install android x86 on xbox original? I know you can install linux. I just found it on the side of the road and plug it up and it worked fine. So if i can't, what other OS's can I install

I have a hdc mtk 6572 and I recently bought the battery from the original s4 in Phonehouse, the problem I have is that the phone is not charging the battery to 100% bone phone reaches 100% charge but really this half of its capacity because when the phone is 100% you remove the battery and put it into a unique and puts s4 having 50%.
What I have tried is to remove the battery batterystats.bin being 100% real (loaded with original s4) I have also tried an app which detects that the battery is 1000mAh (in the original 2600mAh s4 the detected so is no battery problem) this app it says you can modify the kernel mAh (which I do not think). The application is Battery Monitor Widget Pro
To summarize a bit, the phone does not detect the original 2600mAh battery so no load to 100%.
