i accidentaly deleted the lib folder in system and i did not make any backup and now my Note 2 is stuck in a boot loop. When i tried to flash stock 4.1.2 it failed in the odin and on the phone it said unsuported version.

I have a Galaxy Note 3 (Sprint). I am new to Rooting.
I tried to undo a theme I installed. Seemed to have deleted my whole OS. Could i get a guidline on how to get an OS back on my note3?
OK the system folder was deleted on the Impression 10. It boots but gets hung on the "Impression" logo. I hook it up to the computer, the computer recognzes it but I cannot access the files on both the SD Card nor the internal memory. Android Commander and ADB cannot access it. I have the stock system image file from leader, I also backed-up my system folder. how I can push the files from the computer to the tablet or is it too far gone?

View 1 Replies View Related2 days ago I tried to update my aunts sensation xl and told her that it is better to update its ROM from 2.3.5 to 4.0.3. So i created a google account in phone and added it in order to sync contacts....and after 2 hours, I thought that it has been synced...After upgrading device to ICS, and adding the previous account that i made before upgrading, I was waiting for contacts to restore, but nothing happend.. I opened the gmail account on PC and saw that there was no contacts. So the only way for me to restore the contacts is to find a way to restore them from Phone device. So,is there any software, either on phone or PC, to restore contacts from phone? or is there a way to have access to root folders and files of phone on PC to use a recovery program to restore "Contacts.db" file that was erased while flashing ICS?

It used to work, so I think it's something to do with 4.4?

In recovery mode, I accidentally formatted /system folder (from internal phone memory). This is because the recovery mode is all in chinese language and I did a huge mistake.The phone cannot boot showing HTC logo screen and no boot sound.
I've downloaded the kernel for this device at htcdev.com.I can enter recovery mode. My friend has the same device and his is not rooted yet.
I upgraded my Galaxy 551 to Gingerbread 2.3.6. All went well. Unfortunately it seems to be a common side effect that the Z and Y keys (and some others) get swapped. The fix is apparently to modify the file /system/usr/keychars/sec_keypad.kcm.bin. The ideal thing is to put the old file from before the FW update back in, but of course I don't have that anymore! But the existing one can apparently be altered. If I can copy it to the SD card I can alter it in a hex editor and put it back.
So, I rooted my phone with that one click application, and that went OK too. I installed root explorer and found the file. There were also some others in the same folder I may be able to use. But, I cant make the folder R/W (pressing the button does nothing) so cant do anything with the file. I also tried Super Manager with no luck.
I have a Galaxy Mini and yesterday i deleted a system file wich was on dev/block/ (ram5) now my mobile doesnt start and the LCD blinks when i try to Power ON. I can access without a problem to Dump and Downloading mode and i have a copy of the file ram5.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI spent some time cleaning off stock HTC apps (Facebook.apk, HTC Facebook and Friend Stream included), but now all my contacts under People are no longer linked to any Facebook accounts. If I go to the Global tab, there is no option to refresh Facebook friends list. I've tried re-installing Facebook for Android, and I've also tried downloading the Facebook.apk and adding it back into /system/app. Really, all I want ot do is sync Facebook with my phone contacts to pull in pics and birthdays, I don't care about Friend Stream or HTC's stock FB app. Anyone know what to do?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have this problem with my friends galaxy ace GT-S5839i: here because I don't know what to do I pulled the file framework-res.apk from system and then changed the extension to zip, and changed an image inside one of the folders.
After that I zipped the pack again (tried several zip options) and changed the extension back to apk My first question: Is this ok?
I copied the changed file to sdcard and using es explorer moved the file to system/framework. Imediately After answering if I wanted to overwrite the phone freezes and never booted again.
I restored the rom and tried several times with same result I tought the problem would be trying to overwrite a file that's in use but then I found a tool the decompiled the original apk, changed the image, compiled and signed it and made a flashable zip of it.
It gsve always error in trying to flash this on recovery so I extrated the compiled and signed new framwork apk and moved it to system with es explorer... The difference now is that it didn't froze the phone but started to show fc's everywhere. Rebooted, wipede cash and dalvik, messed up woth permissions... Everything I could think of and the result os always tbe same...
I've noticed with a lot of cleaning app's they leave behind unused folders and files of app's that have since been removered and started up a small graveyard so to speak of these app's and their directories...
Is there an app that will inspect your installed app's and then clean and free up space according to what's installed and what's uninstalled but left behind?
I accidentally deleted a whole photo album on my note 2. I have a program that will un-delete the photos however the Note 2 does not show up in windows 7 as a specific drive, only a media player or camera. Is there any possible way to un-delete these photos with any known software. I was able to do this before without an issue with CardRecovery 6.0 but now it will not detect the Note 2 since it is not showing as a drive.

Unfortunately, in doing so I accidentally pressed "Update Now." I had planned to post-pone the update until I got home so I could Unrevoked Forever and S-Off. It's currently in the middle of installing (little ! icon w/ the Android guy next to it). I guess I'm going to lose my root. Any idea how long I'll have to wait to gain it back?
View 30 Replies View RelatedI have a generic android tablet from china (irulu 10.1 inch ax105 4.2.2) thats rooted via shuame and lets me delete apps only with titanium backup but they keep reappearing half an hour later or when the device is rebooted. when i try to delete with any other root app including es explorer it says the system is read only
im assuming the kernel doesnt allow the system to be modified from what ive found on similar threads so i need to flash a security disabled one, the problem is this tablet is obscure so theres literally no custom roms or custom kernels.
normally id just leave it and disable the apps but the problem is the tablet is running a phone os with both system telephone apps constantly draining the battery quickly on cell standby when its a wifi tablet (able to use a 3g dongle though), using airplane mode with those apps frozen still drains the battery really fast but the 30mins or so the apps are deleted with titanium backup the tablet only loses 1-2% instead of 10-20% in 30mins which is dreadful as its has a 6000mah battery

at that time when i deleted fonts phone was rooted with Framroot 4.1 and now I unroot it with framroot.I deleted 4 or 5 System fonts.
the problem is when i turn on phone Stuck on Olleh Logo and then I remove the bettery and turn on it in recovery mod and then when i wip and reset the phone and then phone turns on every time I do this.
1) I am using Eclipse IDE and Android SDK 2.1 for my application. My application reads some data files from the File System, so using DDMS i push all the files in "/data/data/com.mypackage/" folder and run my application on emulator. I am able to see my desired output properly on the emulator.
2) Now i have Android device and i don't know how to push the files in the Internal memory of the phone. I have installed driver CD. But it only shows me the SD card directory.
3) Actually what i want is that the moment my application is installed and run it should read the data files from the file system. So there should be no added efforts to push the files in the file system.
4)Means can i pack my data files with my .apk file and when the apk is getting installed can the data files be placed directly in the internal memory(file system) i.e. "/data/data/com.mypackage/" folder. Is this possible ?
