accidently well formatted the entire flash after my fone got bricked now the phone doesnt get run.i have gionee d1 dream , the phones gets detected in sp flash tool through usb but i have removed everything and i cant find a way to install a firmware again.

My HTC Desire VC (T328d) was rooted and running Android OS 4.0.3 (ics).
In recovery mode, I accidentally formatted /system folder (from internal phone memory). This is because the recovery mode is all in chinese language and I did a huge mistake.The phone cannot boot showing HTC logo screen and no boot sound.
I've downloaded the kernel for this device at htcdev.com.I can enter recovery mode. My friend has the same device and his is not rooted yet.
I've tried to flash a rom with sp flash tool, and my allview viper (AKA blu life play100, gionee elife e3, or else model) died. nothing appears on the display, even when i put to charging.

how to backup one of my phones entire rom package and put it on my other phone that I messed up via the Smart Phone Flash Tool (the exact same model: Star Touch Diamond 2 B2000 MT6573).
The new phone works perfect, I have never touched it, my old phone which is the same model I deleted and formatted the system so I need to put the stock rom on.
I was able to do a "backup" of my new phone, but when i try to flash the preloader and uboot, etc, the sp flash tool says error loading file, or region too large with overlap.
By the way, my phone is not bricked, but I cannot access recovery! I was able to find and install another fully assembled rom to my phone and the phone does power on with lights, but it doesnt have the display driver I need so I cannot see anything.
The reason I flashed another rom was because the phone was essentially bricked and wouldnt do anything, and that was the only rom I could find on the internet that was a full package (preloader, uboot, system, etc) but isnt compatible with phone.
Anyhow, if I understand correctly I need to use hexadecimal calculator to find length of partitions of original phones rom, readback the files, somehow edit the preloader file? then flash them back to the old phone?
Basically I ran Livesuit to flash my Chinese Tab, its called a desiretab has an a10 processor. Anyways the first flash was successful, besides the fact that it didn't pick up touch calibration correctly. So, I decided to flash it again with a different firmware image, low and behold it gets about 50% in and just freezes up. Now the Tablet shows no form of screen output, I attempt to flash it repeatedly, nothing works.
When I say I attempt to re flash it and nothing works, I'm saying that it just sticks at zero and the flash command does nothing.
A friend has bricked his Alcatel OT-918 when trying to root, he has format the phone. How can I flash the software? The Alcatel software uptade dont recognize the phone when conectes.

I was flashing the RUU on my HTC Thunderbolt and the phone powered down in the middle of the update process. Now the phone will not boot, I cannot get into recovery/bootloader, and my PC doesn't recognize the device now.

View 5 Replies View RelatedMy last phone was a Nokia N86 8MP. Like the x10, it to had a 8.1 MP camera. Unlike the x10, the images on the Nokia seemed a little clearer, but what really sets the Nokia's camera apart from the x10's is the flash. I recently tried taking a photo with the x10 in a dark room, although the photo light seemed bright, you couldn't see anything past 5 ft, the same applies in video mode. With the Nokia that was never a problem, the flash was bright enough to light up the entire room and so was the video light. I suggest, if it's legally possible, SE have it's testers look at the Nokia N86 8MP and borrow, if not improve upon their camera, flash and video setup.

Now nothing make my magic to turn on again, not the power button, not the back + power button, not the home + power button and not even the volume down + power button.
i tried removing the battery, connecting the usb and tried all the possible combinations with no success. Is there any way to get into fastboot, as if i get there then i can reflash my previous spl and i am done. i flashed the original firmware from the supplier but since then the phone didn't boot

So recently I got lack of internal memory(it is only 512MB though) and I tried to swap internal memory with microSD(marked as sdcard2). However, Im noob in this and after changing the lines I understood, that I changed sdcard with sdcard2(swapped sdcard and sdcard2), however, my android system seems to be not working now. I can boot and access settings, but thats all. No menu, no apps, no anything. Empty screen, only settings accessible. I cannot access any files or anything...
What I tried:
- Connecting phone to PC as I have Android Commander program which can browse system files from pc, unfortunately, failed to connect.
- Factory reset. Didnt work.
- Recovery mode - tried all options that are available, didnt work.
The phone is Prestigio Multiphone PAP4300 DUO. When I boot to the phone, I unlock it and I get many messages saying com.android.phone, system and such things stopped working. When pressing HOME button, it goes to home, but its empty(empty screen) and tells Launcher stopped working too. All I can do is access the settings. Cant call anyone though.
What to say to warranty service when I will bring the phone to them. Can they recognize that its rooted/that the vold.fstab file is modified?

So I tried googling and poking through a ton of different forums (this one, nexusone forums, etc.) regarding formatting video to be used on the DInc. The general consensus was to use Handbrake with the iPhone settings to convert video. But that was taking forever. What is weird is that I bought the Sandisk 32GB card, and I put a number of copies of the new season of Dr Who on it (all avi's, unsure what codecs were used for it though). They're all smaller than the native resolution of the phone (something like 366xsomething). But neither Meridian nor DoubleTwist can play them. I wasn't sure if it was card related, so I moved the files off the card onto the phone (which took forever, btw) and it still would freeze up opening the video. So I'm guessing I'm still going to have to convert the files, which is fine - but does anyone know of software better than Meridian to do so?
It's funny, I watched the entirety of Clerks on my LG Voyager (after converting it to 3gp or whatever that weird format was), and doing that seemed simpler than watching videos on my DInc. As an aside, we were watching the iPhone4 vs EVO video on my fiance's MotoDroid, standing outside a VzW store talking it up with an old co-worker of mine from when I used to work there, and the video froze. She shut it off, then turned it back on, and it started power cycling (M loop, whatever you want to call it). I spent 3 hours digging through forums looking for a way to recover her phone without factory reset, couldn't get anything to work, so we factory reset and it continued to power cycle. Totally bricked. Anyone know if this is normal?
We already ordered a replacement phone for her, as it was stock to begin with. Just find it rather weird, especially since it had happened shortly after we installed the latest version of LauncherPro on her phone. I guess the inner-troubleshooter in me is determined to figure out the cause-- especially if LauncherPro and/or YouTube interacted funny, I thought it'd be a really useful thing to give to the developers.
Is there a way or an application that I can use to make it so that the phone won't log into the internet and use data accidentally. Essentially I just want to use Wifi and maybe mobile browser, but no 3g or whatever uses data.

I have unfortunately formatted my usb storage which contains cwm.zip and custom rom...now whenever i boot the device there's no sd card avilable...

I got a HTC sensation xl which has been rooted.When trying to install JB rom via recovery, it did not succeed and I accidentally format/ system in recovery.Now I am stuck in HTC logo white screen whenever I turn on my device. My Recovery CWM is still accessible.But I got a problem with my sd card which cannot mount and it show error sd card in the recovery. It doesn't pop up in "My Computer" as well.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI own a Galaxy Note (GT-N7000). Suddenly the IMEI went null/null and baseband unknown. Tried many things to recover from this but nothing seemed to work. I left the phone with the latest stock rom (Jellybean 4.1.2)
I then installed EFS Professional (rooting the phone first and installing BusyBox) and could connect to the phone with EFS Pro. I tried doing baseband and IEMI repair, and though the log showed it had successfully restores from .bak files in /efs partition, IMEI and baseband were still null.
So then I totally screwed it, hitting the "format EFS partition" by mistake (it was 3am by then) and didn't make a backup first. The phone wouldn't boot, so I flashed the latest stock rom again and now it continually loops when showing the Samsung logo when I turn it on. I can turn it on in download mode and recovery mode. When on recovery mode, it says /efs partition not found so I guess that makes sense.
The question here would be: is there any way I can fix it without sending it to service? Some options that sound possible:
- Flash the phone with some other custom ROM that would repartition the whole phone, thus creating an /efs partition again
- Use some nice software to recover the /efs partition
I'm sure that if a service can fix it, there should be a way I could do it as well.
I know my IMEI number (it's in the sticker on the back of the phone) so there should be a way to restore it into de efs partition, right?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI had my phone rooted just running stock 2.2, last night an OTA came to my phone while I was at work, and my brother (doesn't know anything about root) accepted the update. Now whenever I try to do something in Rom Manager I get an error message :"an error occurred while attempting to run privalaged commands." Set CPU does not work, and Super User is still in my app drawer.
Does anyone know whats going on, it appears my phone is no longer rooted, but I still have SU in my app drawer, how can I fix this? Is there a way to completely unroot my phone? or revert back to where I was before the OTA? Everytime I try to load Rom Manager and restore my phone it gets stuck with a picture of a phone and a "!" mark.
Ok so I wiped and formatted my SD Card to FAT32. I am in the reboot/recovery screen of my android with ClockworkMod and I noticed when I turned on USB Mass Storage, the SD Card is readable but there is nothing on it now. Is there any important files I am going to need to put on the SD Card for my android to function correctly on start up/running? Or will my android automatically put the correct files on the SD Card on boot? Haven't tried booting it .

I don't have it set to auto update, so I know I can just not accept the update. But I know at some point in the future, my phone will say "found 14 updates" and I'll just hit "update all" and forget to check whether this app I like is one of the 14. Then I'll be stuck with ads. I'd love to be able to somehow disable it from updating period, or from even looking for updates. Is there a way to do this?
