Recently really enjoyed playing Replica island on Desire, no real problems or bugs. Had to use tilt to move the Android as the original control poor.
Question: Anything similar out there also for free? Retro 2D platform game.

Ok so what am I doing wrong? I can't move properly with the trackpad.....I have seen some positive reviews from Incredible owners so I guess I am doing something wrong.

View 16 Replies View RelatedI looked at their maps, and it's mostly dark green. However, my home address in Cranston is "fair"... That shouldn't be a problem right? I've got AT&T now and the coverage is great. Last time I had Sprint (or was it still Nextel?) was when the i860 was new. I remember some dropped calls or having no bars. But that was YEARS ago. People say it's changed for the better. I guess I have 30 days to make that choice, but to be honest I know that once I have the phone I probably wont care if I have 2 or 3 bars out of 5.

I just bought a new HTC Desire here in Korea. wonderful game rating system, Google decided to eliminate all of their games in Korea. I haven't even had the chance to play a single one. Since Market is tied with phone provider (or current location?), has anyone heard of a way around this? Is there a way to download games directly to a PC?
View 10 Replies View RelatedDon't get me wrong, I didn't get a desire for gaming (i think we have got a long way to go before Android is a viable gaming platform), but I am sometimes surprised by the Desire's inability to run some games properly. Snapdragon processors seem very good at number crunching, but struggle with graphics. Look at the Quake 2 comparison of the Galaxy S and the Desire. of course, the Galaxy S is going to win, but I was surprised just how bad the Desire game out. can't have been more than 3-5 frames per second. I have seen this in other areas to, like the recent Sims 3 conversion for Snapdragon processors. Again, once things get a bit busy on the screen, the snapdragon simply starts to drop a ton of frames. So, are we seeing devs not optimising games for snapdragon processors? Or are snapdragons simply no good for games? That said, raging thunder 2 runs quite well. Like I said, this is more out of interest than anything else. Really like the Desire and never intended to do much 3d gaming on it, but some early results have been a little disappointing.

View 3 Replies View RelatedFor reasosns I can't figure out, some of the high end GL games aren't available for the Desire, even though it's a high end phone.I'm thinking of Modern Combat Sandstorm, NOVA, Assasins Creed.I know some people with the Desire have these, and I'd LOVE to know how they got them, as I cant even get ones acquired from less savoury sources to work.The way I see it, is they're all Android games, so if I was to purchase one for the Galexy S, would it still work on the Desire? Ones that use the potential of the desire, free ones to start with. Maybe something that uses motion, like some of the iphone games I have seen. Some are basic but really addictive such as getting a ball to drop down platforms before it gets crushed at the top of the screen (not sure what its called). Also a decent brain training DS type game?
View 39 Replies View RelatedI've downloaded the FULL version of Angry Birds loads of times today via Getjar and recently on the Android Market but keep getting the same messag 'Application not Installed' with the Getjar version and 'Installation of Angry Birds unsuccesful' with the Market version. I've just unmounted the SD card and copied all the files to a new 8GB card and then put that in but still won't install. My handset is unbranded/unlocked. My wifes is exactly the same but that installed 1st time no problem.
