HTC Desire :: Looking For Decent Brain Training DS Type Games?
Sep 3, 2010Been playing with the handset for a few days now. Playing for the sake of playing. Its time to play on something I think. Ones that use the potential of the desire, free ones to start with. Maybe something that uses motion, like some of the iphone games I have seen. Some are basic but really addictive such as getting a ball to drop down platforms before it gets crushed at the top of the screen (not sure what its called). Also a decent brain training DS type game?

Sep 5, 2010Been on the look out for a decent 3D RPG for my Desire.I've seen Crusades of Destiny, but I'm not keen on the graphics. I read a post somewhere in these forums from the developer of Ravensword for iPhone, and he said he was looking at converting it to droid.Till then are there ANY decent RPG's out there. Fantasy ones, preferably in 3D. Or can someone recomend any decent PSX ones that I can use with PSX4Droid? Been playing Diablo for a bit, and its not bad.I'm thinking of a droid equivalent to Oblivion, Fallout 3, or Dragon Age. Yes I know it's impossible to port these monsters to the droid before someone comes out with a sarcastic reply. However surely the early Elder Scroll games are low enough quality to be ported. Maybe even Morrowind.

Jun 17, 2010I am a big fan of mythbusters and i'll bet that many of your are too. I like all those high speed camera shoots and i was thinking if would it be possible to make an app to use the camera to shoot high speed videos. I am not thinking like professional high speed video (those go up to millions of fps) but more like up to 1000 or 500. The desire should be able to shoot hd 720p video (lets hope with the next update) and may be would be possible to to make lower resolution high speed videos. I think the cpu is enough, but would the camera be able?

May 28, 2010I'm desperately after a decent planner/Calender App for the Desire. One that ISN'T linked to Google Calendar.
Ideally I'm looking for one where the planner has colour coded bars for events like a traditional wall planner. These would be linked to the calendar itself.
I've tried most of the calendar apps out there, but I've not found one that's suitable. Also if I search for planner, I get all different kinds of planners, just not a basic universal one.

Jul 27, 2010I'm using the stock Facebook widget in my Desire, but I HATE the fact that it's white, and so bloody bright. I have a very dark styled ADW UI, and icons, but the FB Widget just sicks out like a sore thumb.
Is there such as thing as a skinable FB Widget that does the same thing as the stock widget?

I've tried xtrrom but I couldn't even find the market icon on there. I've tried eris lightning, but it's just not cutting, and i've tried ayori snow and that just plain didn't work. I installed something called advanced task manager from the marketplace however I am finding several threads on how its not a good thing for the phone. I have no idea if its good or bad, but I do know that what shows up in the task manager list of running apps is way different than what shows up in the phones running task list - menu/settings/applications/running services. What shows up in task manager is a bunch of stuff that running services don't show. So whats the scoop? To have or not to have?

I'm having some buyers' remorse (annoying interface, keyboard, crashes), and was hoping for suggestions on an alternative. I'm out of my Tmobile contract - so I can hop to another carrier.
