Droid Eris :: Keep Getting Random HTC Screen / Stop It?
Mar 6, 2010I keep getting the HTC screen you see on power up. Totally random, each time i was doing different things. 3-4 times since last night. Anyone else experience this?

HTC Droid Eris : Alarm Starts Unexpectedly - Lock Screen Turned Into The Snooze/stop Screen
Aug 6, 2010This morning my alarm started unexpectedly at 6am. The lock screen turned into the snooze/stop screen. Dragging down didn't stop it it.. It came on every ten minutes for the next hour. My alarms were set to 9:45am and 8:30pm as usual. Even turning the phone off and on didn't stop the beeping. It was my 9:45am ringtone even. (The two are set differently)
Anyone else see anything like this? I'm on OTA 2.1
Samsung Captivate :: Droid Keyboard Capitalizes Random Words / Stop This From Happening?
Oct 14, 2010Has anyone else notices that when using the Android keyboard the predictive text will randomly capitalize words? Its kind of bugging me and I've rooted my phone, so is there anything I can do to stop this from happening?

Jan 2, 2010Tonight I showed my wife, who has a Droid Eris like me, that the icon in her notification panel was telling her there were updates available for some of her apps. Turns out she hasn't updated any of them so she updated them all at once. Her phone starts lagging quite a bit and reboots itself spontaneously... just goes to a black screen and then restarts and boots back up. Once I realized what was happening I canceled the updates that hadn't yet downloaded and started Taskiller to get rid of all the programs running. Now her phone won't stop rebooting every 5 minutes or so. I did a hard reset by taking the battery out for a minute... does anyone have any suggestions? Her phone's been fine until tonight.

Apr 17, 2010Just recently I've noticed that random apps are running in the background. What happens is I'll open ATK and there'll be like 10 apps running(which I never even opened), so I'll go ahead and kill the selected apps. Within a minute there will be another 5-10 running without me even doing anything! What's the deal, this has got to be hurting my phones performance.

Jan 10, 2010I got my Eris on Friday, and it has 4 pixels (2x2 square) that are significantly brighter than all of the others on the screen and they stand out like a sore thumb. This really bugs me and is distracting when that area of the screen is white or colored (doesn't show up when black).Has anyone else had this problem? Will Verizon exchange my phone for a new one? Seems like if I buy this phone and I'm stuck with it for two years, it should be flawless when I get it.

Aug 5, 2010So im running the froyo rom and meat kernel and have been for a couple weeks. Within the past couple of days i have been suffering from thje random restart problem at least once a day. Anybody know what the cause of it is and how to stop it? Same with the data lock up? what gives? I dont recall either of those 2 things happening with the stock os but the airplane mode problem did. Also my wifi tether absolutely does not work and nobody has been able to tell me why yet lol. That was one of the main reasons i rooted and flashed. I dont really wanna go back to stock because my battery life is better. What gives here with these 3 problems?

Aug 10, 2010Ok, I'm quite confused. I've had my Samsung Captivate for about 4 days now, and today when i plugged it in mid-day to charge (om nom nom battery life) it started emitting random, extremely obnoxious high-pitched beeps about 2 times per minute. It does it whether or not it's on A/C power, it even does it when the phone's powered off but the battery's in there, I just don't understand why or how to stop it.
Phone is awesome otherwise! Anyone having this issue/ know where it's coming from?
General :: How To Stop Random Reboots On Stock ROM - Galaxy Note 3
May 1, 2014i've recently been encountering random reboots on my Galaxy Note 3 (N9005), on stock 4.4.2 ROM.
The reboot occurs regardless of time, foreground/background running apps, battery level and anything else i can think of. for instance, it can just instantly hang+auto-reboot while i'm browsing facebook, surfing on chrome, switching tracks on poweramp, or even when the screen is off doing nothing (deep sleep)!
I've tried to uninstall some of the recent installed apps, but still unable to find any culprit. is there any way i can identify the culprit, without resorting to factory-reset for my device? i spent a lot of time doing the configuration for each app that i use, and wouldn't want to repeat the whole process..
Motorola Droid :: Screen Dimming At Random Times While Using Phone
Nov 10, 2009My screen will randomly start to dim as I'm using it to say scroll through contacts or texting and the screen will go to like 50% brightness. Is this a bug because why would it be dimming if I am using the phone?

Sep 15, 2010I'm using the Facebook mobile site and the News Feed never comes up current with the newest listed first then descending. No matter how I refresh, or if I hit 'Home' or the actual "News' button. It randomly scatters them (differently each time I try to refresh). I tried the FB app that came with the phone as well - and the same thing happens. I've cleared cache, rebooted, and yet nothing seems to help. On my computer and laptop, the most recent are always listed first.
Is this common? Does anyone else have this problem? I've been watching the forum for quite some time to see if anyone else posted this problem and haven't seen anything yet......
HTC Droid Eris :: Uploading Pics To PC / Avoid Saving Random Images
Oct 11, 2010I noticed a lot of the pics that get uploaded are images of webpages I looked at on my phone.I never long pressed and saved them. Some are of the whole webpage, and sometimes there might be a couple more of the same webpage but zoomed in closer and closer. It's so weird. When I look in my photo albums on the phone, it doesn't show these images. Every time I am finished uploading pics I have to go through and delete a ton of them cause they're random images.How do I stop my phone from saving images like this?

May 28, 2010My battery keeps on over heating when i charge it. My battery started acting funny this week when i plugged it in to the charger and it would charge stop charge stop continuous. Should i take it up to Verizon and see what they say.

Sep 1, 2010I've done a bunch of searching on google and elsewhere on this in the past but have not seem to have found anything on the topic, but it came back on my mind today after making a call.
Almost [anytime?] I am speaking on the phone [with anyone?] I will intermittently get a "touch tone" sound blasted in my ear randomly. At first I thought it may have been because my ear/face was hitting a button on the screen, but this happens even when the keypad is hidden. The other odd thing is that it only seems to happen on MY end, the caller on the other end will *NEVER* hear it when I have asked.
I *do* use google voice for all my calls. I do not know if this happens outside of GV or if it has anything to do with it. Any ideas why this could be, or has anyone run into this issue?
Today it was in my mind because it was happening a LOT (every minute or so) when I was talking to one of my friends. I never took note about it happening more often with her vs. other people or not [honestly, I don't use TALK so much on my phone] but we had a longer conversation today and it kept happening randomly.
It's definitely coming through the headset and not out of the speaker (ie: it will drown out the voice on the other end), and I did disable all touch-tone sounds on the phone. It is the sound you would receive through a regular phone system through the headset, not a chinsy "beep" or something the phone itself would make, it's coming across the "line" but again only I am hearing it.

Jun 5, 2010Has anybody else ever been in an SMS (Google Voice), email, or IM conversation with somebody, with your phone continually beeping every 30 seconds when you get a new message? This happens to me a lot. The phone is sitting next to me on my desk, and each time it beeps, I pick it up, push the power button, swipe to unlock, swipe down the notifications bar, and then look to see what's new. After doing this about 30 times in an hour, I have to ask myself, is this really necessary on a modern smartphone? The dumbest dumbphone I know will light up when you get a new text. Now, I have searched high and low, and am I just stupid, or is there no setting or app available to turn the screen on for like 5 seconds and display new notifications as soon as they come in?

Jul 3, 2010Recently my music player has stopped updating what music I have/don't have on my memory stick. I deleted a few albums off my memory stick and added a couple, and it still shows the old album, (unable to play, says 'audio player does not support files of this type' or something like that) and it doesn't show the new music I put on there. I've restarted my device about 4 times, tried closing/reopening the music app.. I don't know what to do to clear this up. I'm running 2.1 (via WhiteWidow/Root if that matters) and music has never given me a problem before. The other music apps have the same problem, none of them seem to refresh.

Apr 27, 2010Tipping I can stand all the pains of the Droid Eris, But the keyboard issue I've been having is on top of the list. The keyboard randomly stops working. I go to respond to a text, or search the Internet..And the keyboard shows the flashing line as if to type, But it wont type. I will randomly enter letters and the spell check box still pops up. I restart it, or remove the battery but once i turn it back on and try typing again and still same issue. Then 5 min later it works. Its random. Annoying. And Ideas what could cause it? or fix it?

Feb 18, 2010Whenever I turn on my phone, it will resend a text that I sent to someone from a conversation previous to when I turned it off. It used to send just blank texts to the first one or two or three people in my messages, but now it sends full texts that I sent from before by itself. I deleted all my undelivered texts. Plus I got task killer and I shut down my messages before I turn my phone off but it still does it. How do I stop this!
