I have an Incredible and Sense comes with an HTC 3G 1x1 toggle widget that I like. However, I am seriously considering switching to LauncherPro instead of Sense. I'm in need of a replacement for that widget. Any suggestions?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've downloaded Launcher Pro, I currently still have ADW installed as well. When I use LauncherPro my home screen (and other screens) are not set up the way I currently have them. I spent a lot of time setting my current screens so they are exactly the way I want them. Any way to save that config when switching to LauncherPro? It does seem faster so I want to give it a shot, but I'm dreadig setting everything up again- widgets, apps, etc.
I really like Sense but I really want to try out the transparent widget mods for launcherpro plus (which I already bought). Is there any way to get the launcherpro widgets in sense? I know the opposite can't be done, but I figure since I paid for the extra widgets, it would be cool if I could use them outside of the launcher. And I know, launcher pro is awesome...I have beautiful widgets and I know that is almost the same but the weather animations are a pain because they come up on any screen and in my apps and I have to tap to clear them and then I can scroll. With sense I just unlock and scroll and I like that alot better right now.
View 17 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to have a LauncherPro style dock but still using Sense?I like the way LauncherPro has Web/Phone/Text etc icons along the bottom which frees up screen space. Sense only gives 3 of which the '+' button is pointless as it is just the same as a long press. Would rather avoid changing altogether to LP if at all possible.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI installed LauncherPro and loooove it. However, I noticed my battery life is even more pathetic than it was on sense. Since unplugging at 8:30, I'm down to 80% already. I even disabled live backgrounds because I thought that might be the culprit. Has anyone else found that battery performance with LauncherPro is weaker than Sense? Or am I just being sensitive?
View 8 Replies View RelatedI installed ADW for the first time yesterday, and I like it, but I have a question that I really need answered. Right now, each time I click to go back to Home, I get the pop-up to choose ADW or HTC Sense, and if I want it to be my default launcher. I haven't chosen either as my default because I don't know how to switch back if I get tired of one of them. Like, say I get tired of ADW. How do I switch back to HTC Sense as my default home without uninstalling ADW?Also, I miss my Digital Clock and weather widget. Are there anything other than the ADW clock and weather widget/shortcuts available?

My idea would be a 1x1 shortcut I could put on my home screen to switch to my "work" scene. Then in the work scene I would put one to take me back to my "home" scene.

I had installed LauncherPro from the Market a couple of weeks ago to try it out on my Moto Droid, and was able to run it by selecting its icon from my list of apps in my app drawer. I recently downloaded an update for it, and now it no longer shows up in my app drawer. If I go to Settings:Applications:Manage Applications it shows LauncherPro as being installed... However, it is nowhere to be found. I have tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it twice using Manage Applications, but to no avail.
Is this a problem with LauncherPro or my phone? None of my other installed applications have icons that have disappeared like this before.
What are the benefits of LauncherPro over any other UI?

Second, the Facebook app randomly closes when I'm using it.Can't really pinpoint anything new I've done to my phone other than LauncherPro Plus.I love the launcher, so I'll keep it, but I was just curious if anyone else if having strange stuff happening to them.I am rooted - BB 0.4, Chevy LV 1.1 GHZ kernel

View 2 Replies View Relatedjust got my first Android phone today - a Captivate. I've been doing some reading and think I might want to try out Launcher Pro (the paid version?) and Beautiful Widgets. I just want to make sure there wasn't a whole lot of overlap in these two products. Do they work well together? Do most of you run both of them at the same time? This could be a pretty silly question as I totally not even sure what exactly both of these apps do.
View 12 Replies View RelatedI've been posting my customizations to LP+ all over and I figured it makes more sense to just start a thread. The LP+ theme is based off of manup and fabulous's revolution theme. All widgets are themed the same way, and yes the facebook widget is included. I plan on replacing the .apk with the most current version as soon as the new one is available, so please let me know if I need to make the new one.

Backup current launcherpro settings
Uninstall launcherpro
Put .apk on sd card and install via astro or any other file manager
Push home button then restore backup (non LP+ widgets will have to be readded)
Adding the market version with remove all customization
Tomorrow I'm going to remake the google search box and add it to this. And I'm open to making maybe another color or two and some other widgets (free or common ones)
I just bought LauncherPro Plus, but the thing is, I can't install LauncherPro?It doesn't come up on the Market and the .apk file won't install through a file manager, anyone know a fix?

I really liked how when moving to other screens, the dX displayed the buttons to quickly jump to each screen or the home screen. Is there a way to do something like this on launcherpro, or do I have to hit the home button where it shows all the screens small and I can select one.

I downloaded LauncherPro from the market but I've heard of another app called Open Home. Are they similar apps? For instance, does one need both on their phone or just one or the other? View 8 Replies View RelatedHaving an issue with Launcher Pro. I've got an EVO.Whenever I hit the Home key (the hard button) my EVO resorts back to the stock launcher/home screen. I have set it as the default via Home Switcher and it still has the Home key bug. Everything else works fine with LP as far as I can tell.I have tried un/reinstalling the app. I have restarted my phone and the 'Home Switcher' app doesn't offer any relief. Don't know what else to try at this point.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI don't know if any of you guys know this, but this was an awesome discovery to me. I found out that you can actually move left and right on the dock to add more icons! There are 2x more sets of 5 that you can add. I found this by accidentally swiping right on the dock when I wanted to change homescreens. I now have to change my homescreens because now I can add 15 of my most used apps on the dock, which will clear up the screen space for more stuff. I'm already having trouble filling up the 7 screens.LauncherPro is AWESOME!Have any kind of "secret" tips with this app?

I've been running launcherpro on the latest kangerade and I've been having some widget issues. On every reboot, my widgets fail to load, I get the problem loading widgets screen, and I have to uninstall and reinstall the application to fix the problem. Any ideas on what could cause this and how to fix it. Launcherpro and those apps were all installed on the phone. I had a similiar problem with the default launcher, and I must say its the only drawback I've seen with android so far.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have the dock bar configured on my Droid Eris with the default icons, but I have changed the default application for each (i.e. the message icon opens Handcent instead of the default messaging app). However, I'd like to have the icon be the app that its actually running. How can I do this? I tried long-pressing the button and selecting "Change Icon" from the menu, but I can only use either the default LP icons or I can pick a picture from the Photo album. I'd really like to have the Handcent icon for the messaging button, etc.Any ideas? I've seen a few threads on here where people have changed them, but none mention HOW they've changed them.

After one of the recent Launcherpro updates I'm having this issue where the window pops up asking which launcher I want to use when hitting the home button. It's not remember to default to launcherpro even when clicking the default box. It seems to reset after holding the home button to bring up the recent apps window. Every time now without fail. Can you test it out to see how widespread this bug is? Please list your phone and rom.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI know there are several threads already about each of these apps but I'm not sure which (or if either) of them is the main culprit here (although I suspect its my failure to set them up properly that's to blame rather than either of the apps themselves).I have LP and QD installed (and love both of them btw). I have QD set as the default home app and in QD have set LauncherPro as the default app to launch when pressing the home button. I've also set QD to launch on long-press of the search button. By default, QD is set to open on double-tap of the home button but I've set the home key timing in QD configuration to 1ms so that is effectively disabled.The issue I have is that if I exit an app using the back button, I have to press the home button twice to go to the desktop overview (or get back to the main home screen if I'm not currently on it). However, if I exit an app using the home button then I only need to press the home button once to get to the overview. I'm sure that before I installed QD I didn't have this issue.Anyone else noticed this or know why it's happening / how to resolve it?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI thought this was an issue w/ DroidLight update, then I assumed it was something after I downloaded PowerAmp, now I have come to realize that it is most likely either Widget Locker or LauncherProPlus. But here is the case.
After launching DroidLight, then clicking the "off" mode, then exiting to the homescreen, I go to lock my phone by the Usual Power press on my Droid X, and the phone shuts off only to have the light turn on a few seconds later on its own. This same process happens if the last thing I use is something like PowerAmp, even if I force close, it will turn on by itself after shut off.
