Is there a widget for switching HTC Sense "scenes"? Or a "shortcut"? Seems like that would be a simple one to implement. My idea would be a 1x1 shortcut I could put on my home screen to switch to my "work" scene. Then in the work scene I would put one to take me back to my "home" scene.

Does anyone knowa way to set up a shortcut or widget to go directly to search all people. This phone is too slow to open people and then also wait for the search window to open. Lately I have just been searching contacts through the dialer since it is faster.

If i manually open it it then shows it correct as i can add a city myself, but it doesnt update on the home screen, any ideas? I read somewhere about setting your home city, but im not seeing it.

View 13 Replies View RelatedWhen I save scenes where are they stored? I haven't rooted yet and explorer doesn't seem to find the saved scenes. So I suspect they are stored in Data or someplace I can't see until I root.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI thought some of you might find this useful.Making A Backup of Your Sense Scenes with Titanium Backup.Taken from Titanium CAN Restore Layouts - Sense "Scenes" - xda-developers and an entry by joel.bourquard:You can backup the Sense "Scenes" by filtering for System items (MENU -> Filters) and then selecting the item named "[DESKTOP] HTC Sense 1.00".Note that after restoring such system items, a reboot is needed for the changes to take effect.In Titanium Backup, about 99% of the phone's useful data is included in the list of items. You just need to pick the right ones.Usually you use Batch mode to backup all the *user* apps, and then you backup most green *system* items one by one.
For restoring you don't need to do it one by one: just open MENU->Batch, scroll a bit and use "Restore missing apps + all system data". That should pretty much do it in 1 click - or a few more clicks if you don't have the Donate version.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI am trying to access a saved scene that i created. whenever i go through the processes of finding it, menu-->settings-->personalize-->scenes, and select my saved scene when i press home it takes me back to the default clean slate scene. if i then navigate back to the scene selection it shows that i hadn't changed my scene at all and clean slate is still selected.
I am unable to created a new custom scene, each time i navigate back to the scene selection it always shows that i have selected clean slate. in the past i have been able to scroll from scene to scene, from custom to the android defaults, without any issues.
First post here. Been reading for a few weeks and just got my Eris on Sunday. I tried a search for the answer to this question, but came up empty. It probably has been answered before and I just can't find it. Does anyone know the correct way to delete out any scenes that you have saved on the phone? I got over anxious right away with it and ended up having 4 saved scenes on top of the 6 from HTC that are already there. I would like to have just 2 extra ones total and be able to delete out 2 of them. That would give me basically the 6 HTC scenes and then a USer1 and USer 2 type of thing.

For example, the Favorites widget appears on the 2nd screen of the "HTC" scene. I've gone through all the widgets and programs and cannot find this.

I got such bad memories at times, and want to write something down to look at later as a reminder. So I was looking for a widget to do this, something similar to 3Banana app.
i'm torn between two worlds the world without HTC sense where you can have a shortcut dock on the homescreen as provided by LauncherPro, and the world with HTC sense where more homescreen widgets work.So, the question is - can you get a dock like the one offered by LauncherPro and keep Sense, or, can you get more widgets to work with LauncherPro. Widgets like the agenda calendar where your facebook contacts and any other events show up in a list?

Right now, each time I click to go back to Home, I get the pop-up to choose ADW or HTC Sense, and if I want it to be my default launcher. I haven't chosen either as my default because I don't know how to switch back if I get tired of one of them. Like, say I get tired of ADW. How do I switch back to HTC Sense as my default home without uninstalling ADW?Also, I miss my Digital Clock and weather widget. Are there anything other than the ADW clock and weather widget/shortcuts available?

View 15 Replies View RelatedAlright guys, please bear with me as I'm new to the Droid, Android, and GPS capability in my phone. I downloaded Beautiful Widgets (totally awesome, by the way) and I just want to confirm how the GPS toggle widget works since it seems to just be a shortcut to a setting in the OS as opposed to the wifi and Bluetooth toggle widgets which do their own thing. When you tap the GPS toggle widget it, it takes you the "location & security settings" part of the OS settings. I'm assuming that at this point you either check/uncheck the "Use GPS satellites" to turn on/off the GPS chip in this phone? Can I leave it unchecked and just before I need to get some directions or navigation, turn it back on? What I'm getting at is: Can I turn it on and off according my need for it at any given moment?

View 6 Replies View RelatedOne of the things I liked about Sense (I'm rooted now and running the Second Wave ROM) was the HTC weather animations when the screen was unlocked. After installing Widget Locker, I noticed an option to turn them on and now I have them back! I also installed the Weather & Toggle Widget and installed the weather skin that looks just like the Sense weather with the flip clock.The annoying part is that when it's sunny, or partly sunny, the "sun animation" from Sense doesn't perfectly align with the Weather & Toggle Widget weather icon. I know, I know, it's a minor problem and goes away when the animation is done, but the lack of symmetry sometimes annoys the hell out of me.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI keep a shortcut to the Calendar on my home screen. With 1.5 I was always annoyed that the shortcut had a 28 (or somesuch) date on it. I really wanted it to be dynamic so the shortcut always had the correct date. On Sunday when I got my 2.1 upgrade, I was so happy to see that the calendar shortcut had the correct date, the 15th. I was bummed to find out that it was a concidence. The correct date was only displayed because it happend to be be the 15th. Today, on the 17th, it still says 15 on my shortcut.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWell, because no one has any idea how to change from the phone symbol to the index card symbol on the large "people" icons I found another way to do what I want.
I still can't believe nobody knows how to fix that problem but oh well.
Anyway, I found that you can add a people shortcut which adds a small face icon and made my own people page.
It works great. When you tap it it brings up all of the persons info and allows you to choose what action you want.
Just like the large default people icons *IF* you could change to the index card symbol.
Now, the ONLY problem is, I can't get the persons picture to show up on the main page instead of the silhouette pic.
I am synced with google so all my contacts have pics and they DO show up in the info when you tap on the icon but NOT on the main page icon.
I just want to add the pic to the home page icon, any ideas how to to do it ?
So please please forgive me if this has been asked, or is in conjunction with another thread, but I have a question for you all. Maybe you guys can help. So I know the sense Roms for the droid are around the corner (hopefully), but im not completely sure of what is included in it.
My only desire from the sense ROM would be the bookmark widget that is found on sense phones. Looks like the pic below. I was wondering if there might be apk out there that could be ported over with the fixed resolution for our phone. Or is my phone waiting for the sense ROM. Sorry I'm kinda obsessed with that widget, but not worth it to trade my droid for just that.

View 2 Replies View RelatedDon't burn me at the stake, but I want to switch back from Google Voice, but when I switch to carrier voicemail, it asks for a voicemail number, which I assumed was my phone number, but when I enter that, calling voicemail just goes to voicemail, as if someone called me. My reason for switching is because the SMS feature is about 25% accurate and when I turned that off, I stopped getting sotifications that I had received a Voicemail.
