Android :: Launcherpro Bug Won't Stay Default Browser

won't stay default *launcher. After one of the recent Launcherpro updates I'm having this issue where the window pops up asking which launcher I want to use when hitting the home button. It's not remember to default to launcherpro even when clicking the default box. It seems to reset after holding the home button to bring up the recent apps window. Every time now without fail. Can you test it out to see how widespread this bug is? Please list your phone and rom.

I have installed Dolphin and like it, and I've made it my default browser, which is great. However, it is not only the system default, but it even opens links I click on in the Android provided browser (sometimes I both open). On your computer, when you click links in your non-default browser it doesn't send the links to the default one, and it shouldn't on this OS, either. Any ideas how to keep Dolphin as my system default browser, but not have it open links I click on in the Android web browser?

First of all I have a Sprint Epic Touch 4G AKA Samsung Galaxy 2 S and not rooted,
I keep getting prompt to select which launcher(launcher or twlauncher) when I press the home button. I would select set as default and then select twlauncher. This would work fine and I could do what I want and the home button acts normally. BUT if I long press the home button to bring up task manager and a list of recent apps, it would break the default setting on twlauncher. I could go to setting and manage app and see that the default on twlauncher is now cleared even though I did not manually clear it. I tried checking set as default and then select launcher. It too won't stick AFTER I long press the home button.
Long story short, I downloaded several launchers from the market and none of them will stay set as default IF I long press the home button. It breaks the default every time and ask me to select the launcher to use when I press the home button. Now this would be great if I could just delete all the other launcher and have only one but I can't delete the stock launcher or twlauncher.
So the first time this happen, I was driving down the road using telenav when I see the prompt to select which launcher(something that I've never seen after using the phone for 2 weeks).
1. Start task manager and kill all active app and clear memory from RAM
2. Clear defaults from manage application....twlauncher
3. Click home button, click set as default and then launcher instead of twlauncher- still does not stick after long press home button.
4. Manage application...twlauncher CLEAR DATA (sure enough my neatly organized homepage and apps folder was reset to stock).
5. Pull battery
6. Cycle power on and off.
7. Gave up after 24 hours and factory reset the phone.
8. Went on my merry way and reinstall apps and customizing home page and apps pages and so on.
9. In hindsight, I should have long press home button every time I installed a new app to see which one will break the default.
10. Phone works fine for 24 hours and then it mysteriously acts up again. It ask me to choose which launcher again.
11. Went back to googling and tried the following which did not work:
a. clear media hub data and default
b. installed Sprint "clean" ID and then later deleting it.
c. installed go launcher and see if it will stick
d. installed launcher pro
e. installed home switcher
f. I don't have Qik or some child lock apps
g. search XDA and found about 15 threads and tried everything in those thread short of using Titanium to freeze one launcher.
Right now I just won't long press the home button to bring up task manager or recent apps and everything will work just fine. Minor annoyance but I guess I can live with it until the ICS update.

I downloaded an external browser and I would like to use it as my default, so if I click on a link, it opens it up in the new browser. Is there a way to go about doing this?

When I first got my Desire I used the stock internet browser. I added a bookmark for netcarshow.com. After a while I started using Dolphin HD which I found to be far better, and started adding several bookmarks to Dolphin. Fast forward a month or so and I'm still using Dolphin HD and have been using LauncherPro for the past couple of weeks.
The problem is when I add the LauncherPro Bookmarks widget to a homescreen. It only shows the bookmark for netcarshow.com; my saved bookmarks in Dolphin are nowhere to be seen. They all show when using the browser, but not in the LauncherPro widget. I've looked through every setting for Android, Dolphin and LauncherPro but can't find a way to import/export the bookmarks. Also used Astro to look for bookmarks folders (to copy/paste) and viewed the SD card using USB on my PC, but unable to find any stored bookmark data. The LauncherPro widget is excellent but I can't figure out how to get it to display the Dolphin bookmarks, any ideas?

For whatever reason every browser I try reloads tabs when I leave the browser. It's REALLY annoying - I'm stuck on edge most of the time, and finding out that my tabs suddenly reload just because I switched to twitter for a second.
I tried to pretty much disable the LMK, and it still did this...
I tried Chrome, Browser Plus, stock ICS browser, Dolphin and Opera (which does this slightly less often) Last time I had this problem was on my old tablet with only 256 MB of RAM. (Which still did this less often than the Note on ICS)
Every time this happened, I had at least 120 MB of ram free. Seriously, the note has a full gigabyte of ram, and yet this happens.
This doesn't happen to me on GB.
Is there anything I can do to make browsing normal again? Like, exclude a browser from getting killed, or something? I'm using a Galaxy Note..

I'm using the Note2 with the TW-based Digiblur rom and am having trouble when playing HTML5 player videos in the stock web browser. Any time a video plays, instead of timing out like they are supposed to, the navigation softkeys on the device stay lit while the video is playing. If I pause or stop the video, everything goes back to normal and the keys time out like they are supposed to. The problem is not present in any video player application, including the stock YouTube client.

I am developing an app in which I am making a browser type app. Now as user try to open an URL in default browser, an intent resolver is come and ask user complete action using default browser or custom browser. This part of my app is completed. Now I want to ask if I choose to open the link in my custom browser how could I access that URL link. Means as I choose my browser I got blank web view, I am unable to get that URL Link, which I have to open in my web view.

How can we make our browser as default in android. I want to implement that when you open up the internet browser it gives you two options: regular browser and Mybrowser (third party browser which is made by me). If you select the regular browser it says that the phone cannot access the internet unless it is on the Mybrowser. Can we implement this feature? If yes than how?

I've got my work account set up in google, but I don't want it on my phone - so I only check email through the browser. However I like to have the stock browser still be my profile. So what I've done is set up Dolphin to have my work's profile. What I'd like to do is set up a short cut to a bookmark in Dolphin to open in dolphin. Anytime I've set up a shortcut to the URL on the screen it opens up in the stock browser - any way to make a specific shortcut to open a URL in an application of my choosing? I don't know enough of Linux/Android to try and edit some changes. My phone is a Magic (MyTouch3g for you americans) and is running 1.5 with SenseUI and is non-rooted.

I've set Dolphin to be my default browser that way when I open links from emails and such it'll use Dolphin. But at times I want to use the Stock Browser, I'll just open up "Internet" but when I get there and click on a link from within the Stock Browser, it'll open it up and move me to Dolphin. I pretty much want to say "Hey, if I open up the Stock Browser, I want to use it but otherwise use Dolphin for everything else".

My mother is having this random problem where her web browser closes, sends her back to the Google search page. It seems to only happen when she has some tabs open. Note that it does not force close it just crashes. She is very disappointed and would like to know the solution. My evo sometimes send me to the home screen but does not close.

I'm trying to make test-program that opens a website by pushing a button. I have made a listener and everything, my problem is just that, the url-opening-script makes an error and tells me "Uri cannot be resolved".

I have a simple problem, i have loaded an external url in my webview. Now wat i need is that wen the user clicks on the links on the page loaded, it has to work like a normal browser and open the link in the same webview... but its opening the androids default browser and loading the page there?

In the Dolphin Browser, I clicked on a YouTube link and a "Complete Action Using" dialog box thing popped up. It gave the option of viewing the video in a browser or in the native YouTube app. There was also a "Make this action default" checkbox at the bottom. I accidentally checked that box and chose the browser, not the YouTube app. Is there a way to revise this default action?
