I just bought LauncherPro Plus, but the thing is, I can't install LauncherPro?It doesn't come up on the Market and the .apk file won't install through a file manager, anyone know a fix?

I got my Samsung Galaxy Portal yesterday and when I get a new text it makes a sound but I don't get a display on my screen. So if I miss the sound, or it is on silent, I have to actually go into the messages to see if there is a new one. Is there a way I can get new messages to display on my screen?
View 1 Replies View RelatedAnd I amazed at how the battery has lasted.I unplugged it yesterday and have used it as much as my X10 and even drove for 2 hours using Google voice navigation plus installing a load of apps to make me feel more at home with it and I still have more than 50% battery left!It's running 2.1, now I know it has a smaller screen and possessor but WOW.Now if only the X10 had battery life like that, I only hope that the promised 2.1 for the X10 will give half the battery life of this Galaxy and I will be a happy bunny and have now found a Vimeo app so I can watch all them lovely kiting videos on there without needing 2.2 for Flash Player.

I want to reactivate it again. As well, will beautiful widgets only work with LauncherPro Plus. I am specifically interested in the weather application. I can't seem to get it running after it was dragged to the bottom of the phone and deleted.

Is there anyway to approach this in a better way or bypass the login or at least save it to automatically do it each time.I need a wifi connection! every building has it. annoying this is once you move to a different building the settings are changed(probably because of the routers) and I have to redo it. of course it never works

I just discovered something very strange. I had installed LauncherPro from the Market a couple of weeks ago to try it out on my Moto Droid, and was able to run it by selecting its icon from my list of apps in my app drawer. I recently downloaded an update for it, and now it no longer shows up in my app drawer. If I go to Settings:Applications:Manage Applications it shows LauncherPro as being installed... However, it is nowhere to be found. I have tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it twice using Manage Applications, but to no avail.
Is this a problem with LauncherPro or my phone? None of my other installed applications have icons that have disappeared like this before.
What are the benefits of LauncherPro over any other UI?

View 2 Replies View Relatedjust got my first Android phone today - a Captivate. I've been doing some reading and think I might want to try out Launcher Pro (the paid version?) and Beautiful Widgets. I just want to make sure there wasn't a whole lot of overlap in these two products. Do they work well together? Do most of you run both of them at the same time? This could be a pretty silly question as I totally not even sure what exactly both of these apps do.
View 12 Replies View RelatedI've been posting my customizations to LP+ all over and I figured it makes more sense to just start a thread. The LP+ theme is based off of manup and fabulous's revolution theme. All widgets are themed the same way, and yes the facebook widget is included. I plan on replacing the .apk with the most current version as soon as the new one is available, so please let me know if I need to make the new one.
*No root required*
Backup current launcherpro settings
Uninstall launcherpro
Put .apk on sd card and install via astro or any other file manager
Push home button then restore backup (non LP+ widgets will have to be readded)
Adding the market version with remove all customization
Tomorrow I'm going to remake the google search box and add it to this. And I'm open to making maybe another color or two and some other widgets (free or common ones)
So I have LauncherPro and it is working spectacularly, but I have one question. I really liked how when moving to other screens, the dX displayed the buttons to quickly jump to each screen or the home screen. Is there a way to do something like this on launcherpro, or do I have to hit the home button where it shows all the screens small and I can select one.

I downloaded LauncherPro from the market but I've heard of another app called Open Home. Are they similar apps? For instance, does one need both on their phone or just one or the other? From what I can tell Open Home allows for much more customization?
View 8 Replies View RelatedHaving an issue with Launcher Pro. I've got an EVO.Whenever I hit the Home key (the hard button) my EVO resorts back to the stock launcher/home screen. I have set it as the default via Home Switcher and it still has the Home key bug. Everything else works fine with LP as far as I can tell.I have tried un/reinstalling the app. I have restarted my phone and the 'Home Switcher' app doesn't offer any relief. Don't know what else to try at this point.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI don't know if any of you guys know this, but this was an awesome discovery to me. I found out that you can actually move left and right on the dock to add more icons! There are 2x more sets of 5 that you can add. I found this by accidentally swiping right on the dock when I wanted to change homescreens. I now have to change my homescreens because now I can add 15 of my most used apps on the dock, which will clear up the screen space for more stuff. I'm already having trouble filling up the 7 screens.LauncherPro is AWESOME!Have any kind of "secret" tips with this app?

I've been running launcherpro on the latest kangerade and I've been having some widget issues. On every reboot, my widgets fail to load, I get the problem loading widgets screen, and I have to uninstall and reinstall the application to fix the problem. Any ideas on what could cause this and how to fix it. Launcherpro and those apps were all installed on the phone. I had a similiar problem with the default launcher, and I must say its the only drawback I've seen with android so far.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have the dock bar configured on my Droid Eris with the default icons, but I have changed the default application for each (i.e. the message icon opens Handcent instead of the default messaging app). However, I'd like to have the icon be the app that its actually running. How can I do this? I tried long-pressing the button and selecting "Change Icon" from the menu, but I can only use either the default LP icons or I can pick a picture from the Photo album. I'd really like to have the Handcent icon for the messaging button, etc.Any ideas? I've seen a few threads on here where people have changed them, but none mention HOW they've changed them.
