HTC Incredible :: LauncherPro And Widgetlocker
Sep 5, 2010So I just started using LauncherPro Plus, and now I can't make widgetlocker home my default like I used to. When I do, it just reverts my home screens back to sense.

Aug 15, 2010I know we have an over 10,000 viewed thread of Launcher Pro but this board does not give any credit to ADW.
ADW has many things going for it over Launcher Pro besides the fact it is fully open source, you can have themes, add up to 8 rows, and 8 columns, has a better system for resizing widgets.
I think everyone should give ADW a "fair" chance for a few days before judging. You can also play with the settings to get the screen sliding speed just the way you want it.
Right now my biggest problem with LP (well two problems) is one I have run out of room and untill more columns or rows are added I am stuck, and also the last month all updates have been based around duplicating the HTC widgets. THE HTC WIDGETS (while nice when you first start on an Android device) are USELESS! Who can dedicate an entire home screen to one widget?
Once you explore the market you find such better and more practical apps/widgets.

Oct 5, 2010I really like Sense but I really want to try out the transparent widget mods for launcherpro plus (which I already bought). Is there any way to get the launcherpro widgets in sense? I know the opposite can't be done, but I figure since I paid for the extra widgets, it would be cool if I could use them outside of the launcher. And I know, launcher pro is awesome...I have beautiful widgets and I know that is almost the same but the weather animations are a pain because they come up on any screen and in my apps and I have to tap to clear them and then I can scroll. With sense I just unlock and scroll and I like that alot better right now.

Jun 28, 2010I installed LauncherPro and loooove it. However, I noticed my battery life is even more pathetic than it was on sense. Since unplugging at 8:30, I'm down to 80% already. I even disabled live backgrounds because I thought that might be the culprit. Has anyone else found that battery performance with LauncherPro is weaker than Sense? Or am I just being sensitive?

Jun 5, 2010I just discovered something very strange. I had installed LauncherPro from the Market a couple of weeks ago to try it out on my Moto Droid, and was able to run it by selecting its icon from my list of apps in my app drawer. I recently downloaded an update for it, and now it no longer shows up in my app drawer. If I go to Settings:Applications:Manage Applications it shows LauncherPro as being installed... However, it is nowhere to be found. I have tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it twice using Manage Applications, but to no avail.
Is this a problem with LauncherPro or my phone? None of my other installed applications have icons that have disappeared like this before.

I just want to make sure there wasn't a whole lot of overlap in these two products. Do they work well together? Do most of you run both of them at the same time? Sep 12, 2010I've been posting my customizations to LP+ all over and I figured it makes more sense to just start a thread. The LP+ theme is based off of manup and fabulous's revolution theme. All widgets are themed the same way, and yes the facebook widget is included. I plan on replacing the .apk with the most current version as soon as the new one is available, so please let me know if I need to make the new one.
*No root required*
Backup current launcherpro settings
Uninstall launcherpro
Put .apk on sd card and install via astro or any other file manager
Push home button then restore backup (non LP+ widgets will have to be readded)
Adding the market version with remove all customization
Tomorrow I'm going to remake the google search box and add it to this. And I'm open to making maybe another color or two and some other widgets (free or common ones)

Aug 26, 2010Having an issue with Launcher Pro. I've got an EVO.Whenever I hit the Home key (the hard button) my EVO resorts back to the stock launcher/home screen. I have set it as the default via Home Switcher and it still has the Home key bug. Everything else works fine with LP as far as I can tell.I have tried un/reinstalling the app. I have restarted my phone and the 'Home Switcher' app doesn't offer any relief. Don't know what else to try at this point.
